    I'm riding a gsx-s 1000 and the comfort seed sits great no problems after a 3 Hour drive

    i thought i would need to sell my gt soon after buying it as my forearms were absolutely mashed after an hour riding to the point they were aching and solid the next day from the weird pronation angle i found my self riding and absorbing the engine vibrations probably more round town around the 5k revs... not a great start for a tourer i planned on doing some miles etc.
    but anyway.
    I tilted my bars backwards toward me and then angled my levers back downward to suit , what a difference ... i have been on 4 hour rides where its the saddle that is becoming the annoyance.
    I have had to put a couple of psi in my tyres as im not long started this years riding ( Scotland ) dialled in my front and rear suspension to where im happy in the bends and loving the bike a lot better now.
    On watching one of your other videos I have ordered and awaiting these same risers to see if it brings me closer to the suzuki bandit ergonomics a little bit and ill tilt my bars back forward to where they first were.
    @plaxsax mentioned Rizoma bars also to compliment the risers but hope thats not called for as the wish list is mounting
    Good to hear someone else with similar issues and solutions Thanks

    uncomfortable? Hell no. I put 10 hours straight on my GSX-S1000 GT Plus. no issues on comfort. my GSX-S750 on the other hand,, after about a hour on it my ass is sore. I'm 6 foot,, maybe 6'1" on a good day. I weigh about 215lbs.

    Subject change ...do you have a reef aquarium channel?? You look and sound familiar.

    Also, I’d prefer flatter bars as the angle on the grips is a bit too much for my wrists. Hopefully the next iteration of the GT will resolve the buzzy bars and angle of the grips.

      Yeah, I find the bars are a bit too angled inwards too! I feel most discomfort on my wrists first, and the my forearms, shoulders, and then ass.

      @@johnwright3339in the comments section somebody has mentioned rotating the bar back towards the rider and it gave a more comfortable feeling. I’m going to try that and see if it works.

    Do you have a link to the comfort seat you mention? How did you get on? I find the GT seat hard as nails after an hour.

      Yeah it's this one www.twowheel.co.uk/suzuki-gsx-s1000-gx-premium-seat-set.html
      It's better than the stock, but not significantly and not worth the money. But I didn't have it long (sold the bike now) so it might have bedded in more in time.

    Where did you buy this motorcycle screen? It's not the original, is it?

      It's the Puig touring screen

    I was told last week the gx comfort would not work on GT. Did you upgrade and it work?

      Yeah the seat fits perfectly - check out the Facebook page, loads of people have done it. It's expensive though...

    Is it because you were leant too far forward and resting pressure across your shoulders?

    • @averagebiker
      @averagebiker  7 месяцев назад

      I don't think I was leaning forward as such, just sitting naturally as I do on all bikes...

    Can you fully turn the handlebar? I want to put the risers but some say no cable adjustment and others are saying cable is very tight and need to be slightly re-routed.
    Also, on the highway, is the bike feel stable at high speeds after the riser installation? Thanks

    • @averagebiker
      @averagebiker  6 месяцев назад

      I was able to tilt it to exactly where I wanted it without any stretching yeah. No re-routing or anything, just plug and play for me. Bike feels the same on the highway to me and I tend to sit at 90+ mph whenever I can. I've probably only ridden 7-800 miles since installing the risers though...

      I was wondering the same thing...I bought the Voigts, but am a little hesitant to install because seems to me like the clutch cable and brake line are already quite snug. After reading average biker's response, I will try it.

    What about the new GX and the rubber mounted bars? If I could have rubber mounted bars to remove the vibrations on my GT, then it would be the perfect bike 👌

    • @averagebiker

      I think the GT has rubber mounted bars?

    picky, picky, picky. You never did like this wonderful machine. I've probably had 40 to 50 bikes and my new red s1000gt plus is among the best. Enjoy it more than my gs1250, which I sold. Way too many problems. k5 engine is a brute. Guarantee it will be as dependable as an anvil. Many enjoyable miles to go.
