Hi and thanks, Fishaholicboy for sharing your new deck pod by Hearlab Outdoors. Certainly, this bag has a lot of potential, many storage, and secure snaps. I am glad to know that you clarified the bag is kind of moisture resistant-ish. I have been looking for a small waterproof sling bag that I can store my cellphone since I take quite some footage while kayaking along with my Gopro. The regular cellphone case is small and sticky when I really need quick access to it. If you hear anything about it from Gearlab or others, please let me know. Very informative. 🤗
Thanks for watching! I know what you mean about the phone sticking in the phone case.. though that's pretty normal 😂 You might find this useful for you as it's a sling/phone case: gearlaboutdoors.com/collections/accessories-parts/products/bitplay-aquaseal-waterproof-bag?variant=41206480437441 I've seen my friends use this too!
Nice bag. Been contemplating one as well. I do have day hatch, but not room for much, and I want a 2L hydration bladder up in front. I need a LOT of water to stay hydrated in the heat here. Will have a look at it.
It feels great too! I won't use it on short trips but for longer ones, I will definitely be taking the deck pod with me for convenience. Will do some field testing soon!
Looks like it's well-made and will be a very useful addition. Looking forward to your thoughts after you've had a chance to use it a bit...thanks for the great review👍✌
Oh nice! I’ll bring mine so you can see it in person :) those colours you mentioned sounds awesome.. I am sure Gearlab will consider other colors in the future!
Hi! I think it will be personal preference but the IPIK is lighter by about 150grams and has a soft shouldered loom. Soft shoulder means there’s like a bump along the paddle so you can feel exactly where you hands are without even looking but some people don’t like this feature and love the Kalleq for that reason. It’s all personal presence. I also saw the Gram Kajak paddles that has received great feedback too.

My friend thank you so much for showing with us!
Thanks for watching!
Nice. Looks like a handy piece of gear.
It is! I can't wait to use it
I have a day hatch and I still find the deck pod extremely useful.Great colour.Cheers.
Definitely, makes it alot easier to access your things instead of popping up the hatch cover.
That seems like a very handy bag!
Definitely makes things easier for sure!
Good bag. I will be buying it if i am a kayaker. Congrats on getting it from them foc, it is a testimony that they like your channel!
Thanks! The feeling is definitely mutual as I love the brand.. they make such quality products so I was even more happy :)
Gangster Kayak, all blinged out. Lol.
Ha! What else do I need?? 😂
@@Fishaholicboy Those blue sunglasses and a big old fat Gold chain, even if it's fake
@@jakebrakebill 😂😂 I don’t think I can pull that off haha

@@Fishaholicboy I will check it out, thanks. 🤗
Nice!
Thanks Calvin!
Nice Gear !
Thanks! Yeah it’s gorgeous!
it is great, easy to get something from it.
It sure is! I can't wait to test it out on the water soon.. the weather has just been sooo horrible 😭
Cannot put heavy thing on deck plate due to loss balance easily. Heavy thing should be put in cabin
@@johncheung4005 Definitely! Only small things in the deck pod and all other gear in the hatches as usual

Ah definitely gets extremely hot over there in Thailand. It fit my 2L water bladder perfectly.. I can’t wait to use it
Nice video ur vids look so professional
Really appreciate it! Still learning how to record and edit better but step by step :)
First time ever i'm tempted tu put something on my kayak, i always like the kayak simplicity, but this bag looks amazing!

Awesome unboxing! Also congratulations on passing the 1k subscriber mark!
Thanks so much! Was fun doing the unboxing :)

Thanks.. was my first unboxing 😂 I definitely can't wait to use it!
nice bag, so do you wear it while kayaking? If so how comfortable is it while paddling?
Hi! It sits on the deck of the kayak and strapped around the deck lines.. makes it a whole easier for me to access my goodies while on the water :)
I just got the old one, but the new design make me want to buy the new one.
But it would be nice if they have white/Ice/grey color like the old one.

I’m buying the black deckpod right after this.
Can you review the IPIK ? GEARLAB should send you one to review.
Great choice! The deckhands feel great and I will make another video with real on water tests!
Can you explain why one might want an IPIK over the Kalleq. Im trying to decide ?
