    I have had CFS since November 1996. I work as CBT therapist - the reason that motivated me to do this job was because of the lack of understanding and acceptance of what CFS. It took years to understand how this limited my life. Some very good points in this video. For me - the most important thing to communicate to people is - its not caused by a mental health problem. It starts with a virus - for almost all people. I found for me the Achillies Heel of CFS - was yoga. I also found progressive muscle relaxation highly effective - a second Achilles Heel. Lastly - but not as powerful - was mindfulness. I personally find visualisaton more powerful and useful. I find soothing memory useful as well. Just as Doc Snipes says - learning the ways to massage your Vagal Nerve is the key. I can tell you that from a person with this condition and as a therapist.
    These interventions are what I applied 1996 - to now. I actually did these before I became ill as an athelete. If you suffer from CFS/ME - people - every day people - have no reference points to understand the scale of health problem you face. They just dont understand. This video is a good one for both those who suffer from it and those who care for sufferers.
    Doc Snipes channel - absolutely tremendous resource. I listen every week. I always benefit.
    Eating - a low carb diet - was another monumental aid. It gives you 4 times the energy that what a carb diet gives. Its massively important to get the energy levels elevated and consistent.
    Find thigs you like doing. Anything which takes your attention from the ruminations will reduce the threat system.
    Working on managing how this condition restricts you - because IT WILL and DOES. And you cannot control it but can influence the response. So having wellbeing goals - plan your wellbeing. Its a new trajectory of life now - but it means you could refocus on picking up new interests. Chase the positive consequences.

      @@nylakhan5658 1. progressive muscle relaxation every morning. 2. Or gentle yoga. These soothe fight/flight reactions for several hours of your day. You can think clearer more frequently and make better choices. Slowoing the body down to accept where you are right now - your limits. Mindset of 'recovery mode' - working out ways to manage the day to soothe system, keep thinking reaslitic. Work to targets you can do without consequences that you dont want. Optimism - make changes, small, and they add up to a lot.

    I have had ME (chronic fatigue syndrome as you call it) or over a decade. In the UK, NICE are discussing not using CBT and Graded Exercise as effective treatments for ME as they have been proven not to work. Additionally the fatigue you get from a medication is completely different to the bone crushing fatigue you experience with ME. There is no comparison. A lot of the points you made were interesting but in my experience they aren't correct.

      Agreed it seems that some of the guidelines here like exercise can cause more problems.SSRI's can be problematic.I think there may be value in restorative movement however it should be noted this is only when one is at their baseline.Things like Pacing weren't suggested as well as the push/crash cycle.I don't think she understands Me/cfs

      ME/CFS patients need to rest. Full stop.
      It's a multi-system disease where many different components of the body are broken: immunological, metabolic, neurological, et cetera and so far none of those broken systems have interventions to fix them.
      Which means the body is still injured.
      Once pharmcalogical interventions are found that can fix the broken systems; restoring what is injured, then and only then can any type of rehab take place.
      ME/CFS patients can have PEM crashes from brushing their teeth, or going to the bathroom---it's insane to suggest anything except rest in this situation.
      Right now biomedical funding must be put into finding how to fix the multi-systems that are broken and funding into clinical trials and diagnostic tests for more rapid diagnosis, and tighter research for treatments.
      If ME/CFS wasn't the most underfunded, neglected, mistreated, misunderstood disease--we wouldn't be in this situation.

    I was recently diagnosed, and it's difficult to have. You never know when it's going to hit you. I can't even work between the pain and exhaustion. I had covid and it progressed into Long haulers covid. I also contracted mono, and couple years ago. My life has changed so much.

    Graded exercise is not a valid treatment, based upon my experience and research. Getting out of bed on a regular basis is important to me, especially when ME first struck and was so severe,along with dancing or moving around when I am feeling up to it, and long walks occasionally. But there is no shame in resting when the exhaustion hits, for however long it hits, you have to listen to your body. Yoga, tai chi, meditation and other breath work were beneficial to me, but only with low levels of exertion, otherwise even these can cause a rebound and set me back. I’ve been dealing with this for over 30 years and understand that it’s different for everyone. It’s also important to do whatever it takes to battle depression, which can strike anyone who has a debilitating disease that has rocked your goals and dreams. A lot of great info here on anxiety, anger, frustration etc.

    I agree I had to try and manage CFS for work which was impossible. I had to take 1000 days from employment. As a Senior University Lecturer I had some support from my employer. But survival did involve pretending to be ok. 15 years later I retired from work and this was a blessing that gave me time and space to manage the symptoms. 7 years of go slow have been fantastic but it is still apart of my life. I am now 70 years old. Whatever you are told do not take part in graded exercise it only makes things worse.

    This video litrally made me cry my eyes out. I just got diagnosed with this last month and it is the hardest health issue I've ever had to deal with. She mentioned every thought/emotion I feel qnd think as a result of chronic fatigue. I wish others would understand too.

      @@JazzmynDesir Nope. I just take light pain killers when I really need them. And my doctor also told me to get counselling for my anxiety which can make chronic fatigue worse

      I am just coming out of it. 12 months of hell. What helped me was old school therapies. Sleep, nutrition, walking, yoga, meditation, journaling. Unfortunately, you will have to go on your own learning journey to recovery. Many doctors have no idea. I wish you all the best.

    I've had cluster headaches for nine years. There are two to three cycles a year. Normally I can function and still be good in the last few years. This year has been hard: I've been in pain and exhausting for months now.
    This video is validating. It's nice having a reminder to say this is real and there's hope. These videos have been very stabilizing.

    I have a lot of these symptoms. I'm tired all the time. Many days I'll sleep for over 20 hours. It's a ordeal just to get out of bed. Driving to Walmart to buy groceries takes about everything I have. Even personal hygiene is extremely hard. I haven't brushed my teeth in almost 2 years and I rarely take a shower and wear the same clothes every day. My house is a total mess with no organization and junk everywhere. I try to clean and organize it and spend a lot of time working on it but it never gets done. I feel like I'm working harder than I've ever worked in my life but nothing ever gets done. just getting through the day takes everything I got

      Throw enough stuff away, get help with that. Minimum organisation, but also some nice corner where you mostly spend time and mostly take care of that corner.
      Maybe where you paint, drink tea etc, have fairy lights.
      Just that corner.
      The rest is just like military style minimal maintenance.

      Also maybe you can get sth delivered or find some organisation, that can deliver it. Or a young person, that you pay to deliver most odlf the things you know you need.
      The rest you might buy yourself.
      Also sometimes living with a community might help. Some people live on a farm together or in a living situation, where there is personal space but also community. Maybe a garden where one can spend time sitting there with a cup of tea.

      Maybe you don't need a whole house. Maybe someone who can live with you for the help of getting rid of stuff and optimising.

    Thank you for your loving kindness in explaining Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I have Multiple Sclerosis and I thought that was the reason I was feeling abnormally tired so thank you for explaining it since everything you said explains CFS it very well!! The process of grieving your old self can trigger depression so keeping a journal of how your body acts after a day of activity lessens sadness because you are ready to be in bed for 3-5 days in a row. I actually take advantage of the day I have energy but get mentally prepared to not have energy for the following days. That piece of information has been helpful in not drowning in depression thank you so much!

    A lot of good advice here. On topic of exercise, though, many of us struggle with fatigue and crashes after exercise. I have purchased a vibration plate recently to replace exercise until I'm able to do so. So far I like it. Can't attest to long-term use results but it helps keep me awake when I feel myself going down with fatigue. I expect it will help a lot with muscle tone. Passive exercise equipment seems to make some sense to me as a bridge to exercise. Studies indicate it *is* effective as exercise.

    I have suffered fatigue since childhood and I have 4 or more of the symptoms mentioned in this video not doctor have ever care to get to the root of my fatigue. My energy levels have always been really low and they get worse as I aged. I literally feel fatigued w/o literally doing nothing and takes so much of me to get chores done but my blood works always look great so they say is anxiety/depression but I didn’t suffer neither anxiety/depression as a kid or teen however I have always feel fatigued since I remember 😥

      Food allergies may be causing fatigue since childhood. You can do an elimination diet through a naturopath. My disabling fatigue problem has been improving with a specific allergen reduced diet. I hope it help you too.

    I was diagnosed with M.E 15 years ago. After a few years, the symptoms started to go away and I become fit again. Over the last 4 months I've been exhausted everyday and I am certain that I have M.E again. I am hoping to get diagnosed with this but my doctor has told me that I probably have CFS but he refussed to diagnose this. I am exhausted all throughout the day and I suffer from a constant sore throat, sore glands and muscle aches. After making a complaint, I have been referred to Rheumatology so hope this helps. Thanks for the great info.

      Yes. Possibly Mono also. Ebstein Barr Virus/Mono. Got it as a teenager, and stays in your system and can resurface. Later diagnosed with CFS, then Hashimotos.

      @ManInAmerica I have read about carrots and tomatoes releasing different nutrients. Like raw tomatoes have vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, potassium, vitamin K, and folate BUT heat can break down some tougher cell walls in the plant, making it easier for the body to absorb their nutrients like lycopene.

    Also some get a good sleep by sleeping in the cold with a very warm sleeping bag. Barely having their nose looking out.
    Or getting out driving your car somewhere nice with loud music, singing along and being silly.
    If your activity is limited, doesn't mean you can't have fun.
    Also maybe engage in singing in a group or choir or church. You don't need to sign up to be there all the time. Just sporadically.

      People can also sing @ home, by themselves, to their pets, their kids, along with the radio, sit in their vehicle & sing whether they go anywhere or not, while doing the dishes or getting dressed or anything at all.

    Take zinc and vitamin D in the morning and magnesium at night. Don’t take them together. Also zinc at high levels can get you sick so you have to figure out what is the right amount of dosage for you (ask your Dr). Check your B12 levels. It may be low which also may signal leaky gut. If you see it getting lower or it’s low, your doctor will need to give you a B12 shot in order for you to metabolize it. The over the counter ones usually cannot be absorb (if can’t get a b12 shot, best option to absorb is the tinture). Also animal meat- especially red meat, eggs, has the the levels most need. If your Dr agrees get on a colon detox or raw vegetable detox that will help you to reset your microbiome since you are getting the old out to get the new. Eat from local farms if possible since these produce have the necessary composition based on your locality. For instance, the best honey is the one locally farmed since the bees create it with the local pollen/ bacteria in your area which gives you the necessary bacteria in your gut to fight off any local inflammation inducing viruses. In regards to working out, listen to your body. Your body will tell you what it needs. Don’t over exert yourself bc it will cause more harm than healing and may last a while. If your body wants to sleep, allow it. Our body knows what we needs best more than studies and doctors. If anything take a nature walk (grounding) for it has been proven to help with fatigue . Also, research strategies on activating and relaxing your vagus nerve for it will kickstart the parasympathetic system (healing system) in the body, and help you heal in your journey. And research acupuncture. In regards to antidepressants- only if it’s absolutely needed, sometimes this actually disregulate your microbiome and sleeping cycles if taken, and causes more harm. I agree with the feeling safe encouragement 100%. If we don’t feel safe, we will not start healing at all. So IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO FEEL SAFE (not screaming just over emphasizing). Good luck in your journey. Believe me, it can and will get better. Oh, on that note read Dr. Sardo’s book on TMS (hopefully I got the acronym right since I tend to swap the letters). Just remember to believe that you are healing and your efforts will go further (if not your body will fight it). Lots of hugs sent your way!

      Best comment I have found , very informative, but don't forget about sunlight , its very essential to us , no more than 10 minutes high uv index sunlight directly on the skin with sunglasses, in the midday but more low uv index sunlight in the morning or evening which have high near infrared to uv , which penetrates deep, recharges the mitochondria and start repairing all the organs and also makes u sleepy from the melatonin it makes , if u don't have access to sunlight use a classic clear glass incandescent lamp it also have near infrared , its not all about vitamin d

      Same story for me in early forties 30 years ago. Plus always told by many doctors, it was in my head. I did finally find an MD who had Fibromyalgia and opened a clinic only for Fibromyalgia and CFS which was so wonderful

    I have Charcot Marie-Tooth (CMT). I'm a 34 year old male and have struggled with this disease since my early teens when it became noticeable, but not near to the extent of my 20's and now it's at it's worse. It's a degenerative nerve disorder so I don't plan on it getting any better but I want to try to prevent it from staying active. I've just had immense fatigue issues, 90% of my muscles have atrophied especially my legs and now have some pretty severe depression along with anxiety I have NEVER had before. I can't afford to get a specialist and am currently going through the loop of govt funded insurance which is tough to find anyone who knows how to help me. I just want to get back to contributing to society doing a job I love and not be punished to file for disability or working a job I despise.

    There is a clinical test that can prove Post Exertional Malaise (PEM) which is the hallmark symptom of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. It’s a 2-day Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test (CPET) which is also called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

      The doctor called Dr. Young who wrote the book The pH Miracle says that all ailments are because of acid water and acid air and acid foods. Young says we are alkaline beings that must stay at a constant 7.2 to 7.4. Our bodies regulate us at these numbers. That means eating alkaline foods that are raw and organic.

    After 36 years living with ME thyroid migraine 😫 I only know you can't have a normal life and the worse part no one knows and understand this, even your children laughing at you that it's your brain 😪😪 but meditation and healing will keep u going......
    As the lady says u can't even cook 4 u , sometimes my mum put water in my mouth to get up bed in the morning of course at 11 or 12 😅 .

      There may be a treatment/ regimen advance on any given day...eat really well but try restrictions on carbs and try simple walking when you can...maybe slow yoga along with visualized meditation...
      And of course...prayer to our Creator through His Son Jesus....all this and healing energy from our collective community...much love

    I was diagnosed 32 years ago and while I am a lot better than I was but I’ve it’s still there and it lets me know if I over do it and by over doing it, I mean if I have a couple days of having to go out and about, it jumps back up just too let me know I still have ME. I wish they wouldn’t call it Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME is the medical term. I was referred to a great Doctor who diagnosed me and the last thing he said to me as I was leaving, he said you need to rest. Of course I didn’t rest we lived in a huge house on 5 acres 2 kids in High School and we run our own business. Fortunately I didn’t have to spend more than a day each week. However I usually cleaned our home until it was shone. I wish I had have listened to my Doctor when he said rest, because 3 weeks later I ended up in hospital. When my Doctor came into see me, he knew exactly why I was there and he said to me, I bet you didn’t rest and I also thought, I going too beat this, it not going too beat me and he was exactly right. When he released me 2 weeks later it was a sturn warning to take it easy. This time I listened to him as he gathered my family my room and made sure they all knew what was needed. It was hard for my kids to understand, because they said too him but she looks fine and this was the 1990’s and people who seen me thought I was a Hypochondriac because I looked OKAY and because they couldn’t see it I couldn’t blame them. My Partner thankfully because he talked to my Doctor, so he become my ME person and learned all the things that might happen and sign’s and symptoms . Still I wasn’t out the woods, thing’s that I was told could happen did happen, even though when I looked at the things that may happen, I still thought Oh I won’t get that but then the Insomnia set in, now I’ve always been a good sleeper but all of a sudden I might only get an hours sleep in bites and pieces a night. I did a lot of reading and watching TV for the next 5 years. My Doctor in desperation gave me a script for Rohipnol, hoping I would be able get sleep. A week later when I saw him, I took the tablet’s back and gave them to him, they hadn’t helped at all but slowly I did start to sleep and now although I still have nights when I don’t sleep and that’s usually only happens once a month. As I live on my own now I’m finding it much easier to read the signs of a flare up and I can do what I want to with in reason. I know this has been long but the one thing I’m truly grateful for is that now ME is a certified illness that is taken more seriously than when I first got it and their were only 2 Doctor’s in the whole Perth Western Australia that had an interest in ME and 1 of them was my Doctor.☘️

      @@Conquerchronicillness You don’t necessarily have to rest in bed , it actually help’s if you are able too get up and be a part of what’s going on in your life. Even if you just watch TV or read, anything else you like to do that doesn’t take a lot of energy. I know this is not always possible especially if you have a young family. I experienced a lot of brain fog for the first few years, I’d always had a great memory but suddenly I found myself not being able too remember what I had read even though I might have read it 5 times already. So I started doing things on my iPad and I was surprised at just how much better it was because I was using my brain, my passion has always been music and I started making play lists, something very small and slowly the fog lifted. This may not be for everyone but if you do something simple like this even buy yourself one of those Colouring Books for adults and some pencils you can pick it up and put down as you like, again it’s only a small thing but your using your brain even though it might not not feel like it. I also have Fibromyalgia and Degenerative Osteoarthritis. So I usually make appointments I have for after lunch. I’m slow and I know this so by giving myself plenty of time I’m not running around like a Chook with it’s head cut off. Although I still have a lot of fatigue the next day,so I don’t make any plans to go out the next day. It’s alright for me too tell you what I do and how I manage it, unfortunately ME is an illness that comes in many forms and what works for you probably won’t work for everyone. I have had it for so long now, it’s part of my life and I sometimes forget I have it, but of course it jumps up and bites me again, just to let me know, I’m still here.☘️

    I finally gotten off Prozac. Because I sat there in my chair yes I'm fine and I couldn't cry I couldn't express myself and all in all I said I'm sorry I'm sorry to everybody and they just beat me up in my family and I finally got off pros at myself just to see what difference it would make I've been on it for so many years and lo and behold I started wanting to go outside again I started stepping up and saying no this is not good I'm not happy with this situation. And so I think after many years it just dumbs you down until you accept everything that's happening to you prejudice included and it didn't help in my case because I have neurotoxicity from interferon which they will not talk about all those things they did to us with the interferon they just left behind like left us behind and now we can't get even anything that will help us and just pain medicine who cares if you get addicted to it I mean at least you have a life and you can exercise but they taking all of that away too

    IDK if I have CFS or if I am an overconcerned teenager. Maybe I can list out some of the symptoms I experience and you can help me identify the problem or advice if I should consult a neurologist, or whatever the diagnostic body is referred as?
    Symptoms:
    1. Brainfog (I also have depression, so maybe some of the symptoms of brainfog overlap with symptoms of depression)
    2. Anxiety and Apprehension
    3. Sleep Disturbances (mostly because I watched a video with scares the shit out of me and my sleep schedule is messed up)
    I don't have much pain in joints, can exercise well, am in decent shape, however I've been slightly carelessness. Maybe a bit of back pain, to the slightest of extents, where I am occasionally reminded that I have a back. Plus its on and off. The back pain though isn't a matter of concern, I just need to maintain a good posture as I sit on a chair around 8 hours a day or a lot more.
    No sore throat, but I do feel weird in my throat if I don't drink warm water in the morning.
    I am well able to exercise as well. Slightly worse than prior, but that's surely due to lack of exercise, I used to play football every alternate day, 1.5 hrs, plus 40min of yoga and working out + good bit of shadow boxing, now I barely even think of exercising.
    Also, my cognitive function is well distorted and impaired to an extent, in contrast to how it were prior. I face difficulty interpreting abstract notion that were well in my interpretational spectrum previously.
    BTW, im 15, if that suggests anything...
    Also, Is brainfog curable? As that's what is at the pinnacle of my concerns. I just wish the ability to think and function cerebrally, cognitively as I used to. If brain fog is curable, how long would it take to be cured? And what methods of curation (i thought i made that word up, prior to validating with google) am I plausible to go through in order to treat brainfog + how long (estimate) would it take to be cured?
    I know there is no definitive duration to the curation of brainfog or any medical condition for that regard, but just estimates would help... Estimates on the basis of prior cases alike.

    I have everything but sore throat, lymph nodes and headaches, but I have this weird thing of feeling "drunk" feeling. It's like when you're in a deep sleep And you get shocked awake, so you have this weird feeling of being alseep and awake at the same time. I also dream as soon as I close my eyes. I'll wake up thinking of been sleeping a long time, but it'd only been 5 minutes but I've had a full dream. It's weird.
    As someone that used to play a contact sport, pilates, and lift weights I can say more exercise makes things much worse.. tried physical therapy twice and I felt much worse

      im not a doctor, so I'm not trying to diagnose you or anything, but I've done lots of research into sleep disorders (as I have a few) and this sounds like narcolepsy. There are two types, so you don't have to experience cataplexy. I would look into it, see if it makes sense to you, and bring it up with your doctor.

    Deconditioning is a side effect of ME
    One is not overwhelmed by fatigue because your muscles are deconditioned, being unable to function because of ME cause muscle atrophy.
    See guidelines for practitioners published by NICE (UK)
    I have more concerns about the content, but I don’t have the energy to deal with it.

    I have RA and CFS 16 years. Having a shower then so exhausted I fall on the bed and feel like I'm falling down a well and pass out.sleep during the day. Beware I tried to get help and doctors had me so doped up for seven years. Misdiagonised with depression. my doctor's wanted me to electric shock therapy as I wasn't "responding to meds". I went to another doctor who didn't have my history and sent me to a rheumatologist. Ra now too servere it's attacking my organs.disabled, CFS still full on.

    Psychiatric drugs (side effects and withdrawals) is what triggers ME/CFS for some people and keep them sick. It is a human tragedy that this disease (like so many others) were hijacked by Psychiatry and psychopharmocology in the 1980s.

    in 2017 i couldn't exert myself at all. it turned out my blood vessels to my heart were almost completely plugged. i had 5 by-past surgery. trouble is, i've never been able to exert myself since. could i have more blocked arteries not discovered? have i developed cfs since there?

      Maybe waking up even earlier, so there is more calm.
      Having some few things to snack already there.
      Having a smooth routine, something calm. Where you set the alarm for every step or task you have to take. The less tasks, the better.

      Also some doctors, who don't have time for anything sleep in their clothes for the morning. Well, might not be the best. But some simplification might be needed.
      Also if is not possible to eat right away in the morning - bringing sth with you in your bag.
      Bread and humus. Pack of tomatoes.
      Some meat, that does not have to be cooked - protein is key.
      Sth fatty and tasty.

    Is it normal to be narcoleptic with this? I can even sometimes trigger an episode if I'm fatigued and eat peanut butter. (So for anyone else who can't get to sleep, experiencing insomnia, try PB, turkey,.or ingest other sour es of tryptophan that will suit you, but just be already ready to hit the hay after that PB sandwich, because if it affects you like it does me, you could wind up falling through your shower doors a few times.
    I'd love to have a little study, but since it's unrelated to what I've said already, I should probably add a separate comment.

    for the past year I have been feeling very tired. I used to run a lot but all of a sudden even the thought of exercercize makes me tired. I get exhausted just climbing a set of stairs. I fall asleep very easily and have to force myself out of bed. I can sleep for 10 hours and still feel like taking a nap. I don't have any pain or depression. I just feel tired all the time and a lot of itching on my back . Could that be related?

      A ton of things can cause persistent fatigue, but as I explained, when those are ruled out, CFS is often the diagnosis. It is crucial to address other issues which could cause the cluster of symptoms necessary for the diagnosis of CFS...remember, it is persistent fatigue PLUS at least 4 of the other symptoms.

    I've had this condition for 35 years. It's not fun. And trying to do daily things is almost exactly like if you have a terrible flu; just the acts of getting out of bed, showering, getting dressed, brushing teeth sound like impossible feats. You feel every single movement and they're exhausting. Brushing your teeth isn't just brushing your teeth; it's removing the toothbrush from its holder, turning on the water, opening the cabinet door, taking out the toothpaste, unscrewing the cap, squeezing some onto the toothbrush, on and on. The whole day is like this. Any exercise other than walking (on a good day; as tolerated)is a recipe for disaster. What usually happens when I overdo is I'm rewarded with 3 days of exhaustion and pain, often having to stay in bed. No positive after-affects, unfortunately. Much better to pace yourself. Listen to your body!! One last point: The CFID people always told me that even with the lack of exercise, atrophy for some reason doesn't occur. I'd agree with that from my personal experience. What does happen is lack of endurance, but a few 'good days' will take care of that naturally.

      I agree have had 30 years took best years of my life. Did facilitate a support group at local hospital for CFS for 22 years. Wrote and published a study on it in 2000. One step forward 5 back. One day out equals 3 in.bed to pay for it. Pace yourself, listen to your body. Don't compare with others we are al different. Its a personal journey you can share with others thru reading writing and support group if you can find one. I had 440 plus people attend in all those years. Young 18, oldest in 80s. Men and women.A support group helps if its kept from being a crying fest leaving everyone go home sadder then when they came. Find a lighter one based on.just sharing and education. Helping others and yourself. Good luck to all.

      Well, you said exactly what I am going through too. Thank you so much for your honest description. It’s amazing how I identify with what you are going through. Your voice actually help me to realize how real is that exhaustion… I fell so alienated, not understood, judged, shamed, discriminate, not included, making fun at…. and many more…
      By writing this paragraph, you help me so much the there are other people out there like you and maybe many more who feel the same.
      I just have a very hard time to explain to people and sometimes the close family members but it’s not my choice that I cannot do something or feel how I feel…
      I experience no empathy from people who are closest to me, and that is the hard. Thank you again 😊❤

    I've had M.E for almost 19 years. Please do not partake in any exercise/GET, it will only make you worse. Take this from someone who knows! Rest as much as possible, especially at the beginning of the illness, this offers the best chance of recovery, but is not guaranteed.

    My CFS definitely occurred a week following my one and only covid 19 vaccination.
    It has persisted ever since hitting me in waves but my baseline energy levels are still well below what I had experienced during my previous 45 years.
    It can be triggered by getting covid but rarely also from the vaccine.
    Sadly we often get labelled neurotic and gaslit as mentally ill by the medical profession who obviously don't want to acknowledge what they can't treat. Or see.
    Not much we can do except hope.

      Same here. I had both the vaccines and my health has not been good since. I can’t walk far without a stick, I get terrible fatigue and bone and muscle aches. I used to love going for long walks but now, I hobble along feeling like Jacob Marley weighted down by heavy chains.

    I feel i have this after covid. I have been to a naturopathic doctor and my HPA- Axis is not funtion well. But i also experience trauma in my life. I have a panic disorder. All the trauma came back after having covid. I am a highly sensitive person, i experience everything intense and because of that i can't sleep well often, because of the overwhelming day. Having two childeren is also exhausting some days ♥️🙏🏼. Trusting in god's plan is what keeps me holding on!! ♥️ sending love to everyone ♥️

    I don't seem to meet the CFS criteria but I have severe, persistent fatigue. This began after a finding of Vitamin D at 6. It might have dropped even lower because I was still not eating after the blood test I had which determined this level. Strangely, like those with long COVID, I had lost my sense of smell at the same time, though this occurred 11 years ago. I had preceded this Vitamin D deficiency with depression in which I stopped eating and could not fall asleep at all. I was treated for depression, MDD, and the symptoms are controlled. I still take medication for it. I feel that the level of Vitamin D was the trigger or the total lack of sleep for days was the trigger. I have zero energy. Just washing my eating utensils is difficult. I do much better when I'm reclining or sitting. I don't feel like the fatigue I have is a residual symptom of depression. I am able to sleep and eat and do not feel depressed. I wish there was a disorder called Persistent Fatigue Syndrome. Just as you say, the energy to get ready to go out is so difficult. It takes me a week to work up to getting dressed to go to a doctor's appointment. I do have an autoimmune disorder, psoriasis. Another possible cause is my antidepressant itself. I've taken this medicine for years. It's an SSRI. Maybe it plays a part in my severe fatigue. My circadian rhythm returned to normal once my antidepressant started to work, but this had no effect on my severe fatigue. I do have something wrong with my lower lumbar spine that makes it impossible for me to stand in one place. I can walk, but not stand still for more than a minute. I need to sit back down. I can stand a few minutes if I hold on to something. I've thought I could have inflammation there, plus a couple of spinal conditions.

    Hello from Dundee, Scotland. I study Psycholgy and psychiatry as a form of therapy and I have been using your videos as a kind of cross between education and therapy. I consider myself an undergraduate as I have dipped in and out of Psychiatric studies for years as a male to female although I have never enrolled in a course I have previous experience of using the DSM to study my way out of the symptoms of SAD. I am also suffering from insomnia and persistent fatigue and I am recovering from a traumatic childhood. I use a self hypnosis technique I call mirroring and I have skills as a magician and rapper as I am also an entertainer proffesionaly, this is part of my technique... While you are talking it is as though two people are on a date, imagine looking in a mirror, we are on opposite sides of the sheet of glass and I am mirorring you in both gestures and audio. I am also a clairvoyant and spirualist and that my friend is whole other story. I can race you to the finish of a sentence as though we are twins! I hope to upgrade soon with the hope of discussing a few things with you one intelectual to another. Thank you for what you have done to help me with your excellent advice on PTSD and depression as well as anxiety. I also like heavy metal by the way so there you go. We have common ground outside of work. Rock on sister. Mahalo

    I got M.E back in 1998, in the UK, when little was known about it. I didn't have to fulfil the criteria set out by this doctor to say if I had M.E. I was diagnosed with it within several weeks after catching pleurisy and glandular fever. There was little knowledge or understanding then, so I did my own research. My conclusion was the hypothalamus, or there about, was the cause. So I treated the symptoms, took a very holistic approach, and the best thing that worked for me was reflexology and serious meditation. I've been meditating for over 23 plus years. I caught COVID in 2020, which gave me long COVID, but meditating has seen me through M.E and long COVID. I cannot express how powerful meditating is to the body, try it, after all what have you got to lose! Meditating helped me go on to live an almost normal life. Do it!

    The surgery’s is making it worse now and have sever pain and drs take a long time to give you appointments month two months I have to wait it adds to everything to my body just got rid of a bad dr telling me it’s all in my head no it’s not but slowing down in my business and no contacts for people everybody tells me I have it all in my head no it’s not now my body is making tumors sis lesions and noduals etc when the tumors or sis removed not canser they checked my adrenal glands with the MRI and ct scans always say remarkable good so what gives I was a workaholic I have breast implants for twenty five years didn’t change them drs say no it’s not bothering my health now hardly to work bad drs in my life now finally got great drs just had one that said I don’t have a sis in my shoulder but the ct scan the second one showed I have a sis a different dr did three views Staten Island hospital only did two views didn’t show now another surgery this is adding to chronic fatigue syndrome medical drs don’t care what dr could I go to seeing a rumertologist now waiting for the bloodwork to come back now poor circulation in leges been going to a vein dr for two years now removing bad veins I missed two sessions now legs are cold but not problems of sleep only just recently from the major surgery July 15 th a mess now three more surgery’s I’ll find out Tuesday the right side of my back my fathers body made tumors and sis it’s heradertery I get this crap from him he’s dead many many years because of the heart all my family died from all different cansers now have therpy once a week thank God have a person to talk too people are all mean because when I was working for a salon for thirty five years I had some staff as friends I use to get bullied by school as a child and now from adults I just stay away if they are not nice like my parents were now I go to therpy to help me thank you all for your knowledge @lorraineamicothemakeupartist your amazing I have alote of inflammation it’s on fire inside now all these tumors and sis

      Certainly low blood pressure can cause fatigue in some people, but not everyone. Many physicians will say something like, yes it is low, but if it is not causing symptoms then no need to address it. It sounds like it might be causing you symptoms though. certainly constant fatigue is hindering your quality of life.
