Sretno!
hvala!
One thing that always works is ... by word of mouth, once people know you're good, they will 'advertise' it for you 🙂 it will take a bit of time. Wish you all the best.
Yes I agree, WOM is definitely the best and works as a snowball affect. Just need to get in somewhere first.
Look, first rule of doing any kind of business in Croatia is, all businesses is done in local coffee house no matter is it 10 euro or 1000000 euro job, go there meet people and just tell them in conversation that you are plumber, explain to them how much experience you have, when they get to know you,and it's really important for us to know with who we are doing business with. So we know that you are not some "shady" person, thew will know who to call, and they will start to call you. Another thing is again if you have a chance in local coffee house, or in grocery store, or in hair dresser saloon, anywhere where people meet, try fixing something for them, maybe something small like unclogging a drain or anything they may need. And give them a fair price or even do it for free it's your choice. But if you do that in small communities like one where you live :), word of mouth spreads like wildfire, and you will get a lot more jobs. After that is all on you and your reputation, reputation is the most important thing for doing any kind of businesses in Croatia.
Great explanation
I can see this bearing alot of truth, Ive had a couple meetings over coffee with some people but i never looked at it that way. Thanks
@@Dusan.GrujicCroatians are very nationalisitic. They dont even like they neighbours😅😂
So, why they would start working with british?
Please continue your business series!
Im starting it again now
Yea with obrt it would probably be a little bit easier. When looking for a plumber most locals do it by recommendation word of mouth. But yea, good luck.
Yeah WOM is the best, but when you dont know anyone it can be tough to start. Snowball affect will work soon im sure
@@Dusan.Grujic I know for sure people are waiting in que on some plumbers lists literally, specially good ones. There is a lack of skilled tradesmen in general. Time and patience and i hope it happens sooner rather than later. :D
i am from india now living currently in croatia, can i start business in croatia? i would like to start a restaurant
Thank you for your experiences. I have been self-employed since 1998 in Germany, and I get almost all my worjk through personal contacts. Exactly ONE job through my website, which I discontinued finally last year. Now I would like to know, how much is the taxation specifically, are there any social taxes like pension tax, health insurance and the like, how much exactly, and what other expenses are forced into the business such as the accountant (I do my own accounting in Germany since I train accountants I know how to do it here) or the mysterious billing software. Thanks again.
pension and health insurance is aroun 250 euro a month
@@Dusan.Grujic Thank you. Is that just for you or is that the ceiling in general?
I think its the starting point yeah, im not sure if pensiuon goes up depending on how much your salary is

Which town are you in?
Near Benkovac
I will need plumber next year, when I come to Zadar, my family is from Bukovic/Benkovac.
Nice! give me a call, That British Plumber on google :)@@SaK-cl1iy
Why don't you try to team up with estate agents to share your details when they sell or rent properties? There are so many agencies that deal only with foreigners and not locals.
Good idea, not thought about that.
Sounds like a royal pain to start a business there! Have you tried contacting a marketing consultant to see what they can do for specific targeting for expats? Half of the videos on RUclips are about digital marketing consultants, so I’m kinda curious if they’re effective.
I have some understranding of marketing but dont really have the money to hire some professionals. I just think i need to build some trust within the community somehow and then my name will get out
Do you speak fluent Croatian? I'd imagine this type of work would be difficult if you don't speak the language
I think it's a little more difficult for foreigners in Croatia, there are not many cases like yours where a foreigner moves in and starts a business. A friend recently opened a company in Croatia and received 15k euros free of charge for self-employment. Nobody uses bussines cards in this part of Europe, seems old and strange nowadays. You advertise on Facebook, Instagram, your website, digital marketing...
I must be crazy hehe!
@@Dusan.Grujic It's not common but it's better than keep it in your pocket. Meet the people, spread a word as @tonigad7928 explained. GL!
But you will make it there
Hi
Our bureaucracy is a nightmare
ITS THE WORST LOL
@@Dusan.GrujicI would never invest in Croatia again. They are problemmakers and problem solutioners.
Is there any way to contact you apart from commenting in you tube

im a croatian that cant start a business in croatia. Why don't you help me?
Why can't you start?
If I was you, I would try to get a job and work for someone first. You need language knowledge to start your own business.
Yeah sure it helps alot, Im working with english speakers at the moment. which suits me well
