I have no idea who you are, 2 minutes into the video. But the fact you're one of the few who actually spend the time to put together a 2 hour video course for free, shows me one thing. That you've been successful enough with your ACTUAL drone / photography work, that you dont NEED to worry about the lost course revenue. One must ask themselves, do these other people mainly make money through their courses, or through actually preforming the work? I'd rather be taught by someone actually supporting themselves via the work, not the courses. It's the same thing as, would you rather take engineering advice from someone who's actively building a car right now, or someone that's been stuck in a lecture hall for the past 10 years teaching something they havent actually done in over a decade?
I make about 4K a month doing real estate but I have a mavic 3 cine so once clients saw the quality they don’t want anyone else. But it took me years to get here too and a lot of word of mouth. I had the Mini 2 and Mavic Pro before and barely made money with them. I also offer video service with my A7sIII and 14GM. I don’t even reach out realtors anymore they see the videos from my other clients and I get messages on my video page. But it was crickets for 3 years lol 😂
This type of video is exactly why I subscribe to and love this channel...Mike freely offers tons of value/knowledge that you'd have to rummage thru other channels to get, or buy a course. Thanks, Mike!!
Instant sub, your no nonsense, give it to you straight with no strings attached is refreshing and really appreciate the work that went into this tutorial. THANKS!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I just did my first drone real estate job. Let me tell you. It would not have been possible without your instructions!!! You thoroughly explained every detail that i needed. You definitely speak my language. You explained it so simple that it was very easy for me to understand. I have spent so much money learning this trade. I have been watching other real estate photographers charge a high fee and i felt that I walked away not learning much. To be honest, I have learned so much more by watching your FREE video than the other paid instructional videos. YES, of course I am going to subscribe, buy your products or connect from your link any products needed and give you a very high thumbs up along with your other videos. Thanks again
Hey Mike I would greatly appreciate if you could make a check marked document for the drone pic and video workflow. I think this would be a great formula. Please let me know.
great stuff! I think one additional touch that would really give the final video some extra polish would be to add the name of the property to the intro shot with a nice font and a simple fade animation.
Thankyou so much for this!! This is very well put together, well explained and articulated. You are very humble and anyone can tell that your humility and honesty is what got you successful in this industry. I can’t believe this is a free course. Im definitely subscribing and will come back here. One question, are you self taught or you went to school for this?
As always, great lesson. I am brand new to photography and thanks to you I am taking both interior/exterior and now drone images for my listings. As a newer agent the cost of pro service dips deep into empty pockets...LOL This is very easy to follow and really helps me understand the needed details to make my amature work acceptable to my broker. May God's blessing remain with you.
This is exactly what I needed to find today! And you are in Jersey too?? That's fantastic! As a NJ Home Inspector I'm looking to add drone videos as a marketing tool to realtors.

Thank you so much for spending all this time for the rookies. I am deciding between a Mini 4 Pro or a Mavic Classic as my first drone for real estate shots and footage. Greetings from southern Germany!
Great video…really enjoyed it. How often do you do exterior only videos or did you do this just for this video? I would think a whole property video is what agents order. Curious 😊
As a fellow Jersey Shore resident - Thank you! Just upgraded to the Mini 4 pro and can't wait to more time in the air. Ready to take the part 107 in the next 7-14 days and this information is greatly appreciated.
Great video. Just some advice I would never recommend shooting Auto White balance. You can see in your screen recordings the colors changing and the white balance going from 5100k to 5500k which would change the colors significantly. Honestly you should be shooting at 5600k on a sunny day and shoot 5800-6000k on a cloudy day. Locking your white balance would highly improve color accuracy and isn’t hard to do. Hope you don’t take it the wrong way. Great video either way.
Thanks for the input! I understand your concern but out of thousands of drone shoots I’ve done cannot recall even one time I’ve had a color shift during a shot because of auto white balance. Yes, it’s shifting in the screen recording because there’s a piece of construction paper in front of the lens and the camera has no idea what’s going on haha. Out in broad day light, it’s a non-issue and that does not occur. Auto WB remains sound advice in my opinion and one less setting to worry about. Nothing wrong with doing it manually if you choose to do so.
Have to agree, was very surprised to see Auto White Balance being recommended for a professional aerial video, I suppose you can get away with it in slow footage like this, but I've ruined many a speed ramp by forgetting to lock WB.
Hi , Fantastic tutorial. I've just purchased Mini 4 Pro and intend to use it for Estate Agency shots for Detached Properties here in the UK. I'm only halfway through this video , and have learned so much. Thankyou. My Question is, after taking shots, video's and editing how much should I charge the Estate Agents for one Standard Property? I am now a proud subscriber to your Amazing channel. thanks Again. Best channel even for UK followers 😊
Very nice class. However do you have any videos laid out for video specifically for someone who has been in the field now for about 4 years ?.. I just feel like i have those moments where i feel stale and like lose creativity with some of my shoot or like i'm going through the same motions day in day out with every shoot. on average i'm shooting about 17-25 homes a week. And I only have a certian amount of time that I can spend in each home depending on what they are getting. But I would just love to have some fresh Ideas that I can use or try out.
Thank you for an another amazing video Mike! Quick question about lens distortion and straight lines in photographs. I didn't see you touch the "transform" or "lens corrections" tools in lightroom classic which always gets used for regular camera photos. Are those settings just not needed? Also when I try to search for the lens profile for DJI Mini 3, that specific model is not listed...

why not use active track when you are doing the orbit around the house? Awesome video!!!!! Ok, question. Im SO glad you put this video out. Im just getting into RE photography. Im not new to photography. How do you tell them how to edit your photos or do you juat tell them you want HDR and all hand blended?

The issue lately is that drones like DJI mini pro are so easy to use.. that it seems agents/etc just buy them and use them themselves now. I have tried to find some work and most say they just use their own drone. Not even sure if they are Part 107 or not.. but it seems like this work is largely saturated with agents doing their own drone stuff now. Most areas (at least around me) have several that also say they already have someone that does it for them.. so it really seems saturated and luck of the draw if you can get any work today.

Hey! Thanks. For photos I would set the iso to 100 and put the shutter on auto and just let it determine the shutter speed on its own. You will have no issue in daylight with those settings. If it’s dark that’s another story.
I have a question hoping you might know the answer: My pictures are coming out great, but my videos when I put them in lighthouse classic, the pixels are moving all over the place. So, the videos look terrible! Do I have terribly wrong settings? I think the setting are in auto, I'll have to recheck. What would cause this?
I use auto settings for drone real estate photos and videos and never noticed a problem. Is that bad and do you think I can continue doing it long term?

For shooting your more standard properties and capturing lower elevated shots would you recommend an arial pole/mast. Getting a drone soon but not sure if I need a pole as well?
Aesome public service. Thank you, Sir! A puzzle: I inserted a San Disk extreme Plus 64 GB 42 U3 into my DJI RC and it says: No Card N/A. What type do ssd do u need?
Hmm I’m not sure why that didn’t work. I’m actually not sure. I use the DJI RC pro which has its own internal memory so I’m not using and sd card in my controller.
