Investing in the stock market short term has its risks, especially as a new investor. For example you could invest that R500 and make some profits, then closer to the time when you want to withdraw, you're at a loss because the company's share price is not doing well. So it would really have to be a risk that you solely decide on, I personally would invest in Purple group and disinvest a little gradually as the share price performs well and take the profits and save them in an interest barring account like the Tyme goal save account.
