As part of my comeback from my disc herniation and nerve damage I have gone back to using Kettlebells at home to build up some strength and mobility
I used to coach Kettlebells for runners outdoors a few times a week in any weather but its been a while so although I may be rusty and a long term injury I can hopefully share my workouts with you.
Look out for more technique videos and general discussion as to why Kettlebells can be useful for runners but for now get swinging with me!

My abs and core are feeling the burn happily and I love it!
Just the right amount 💪😃 the v got me to a sweat for the rest of the workout. Thanks !!
Nice mix of exercises. My brain couldn't figure out how to change direction with the halos for some reason did this session today after a run.
Loved this session Gary thank you!
Enjoyed this car park rendezvous. Probably needed a heavier weight for some of the exercises but struggled with the kettlebell pull. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks.
I really liked this one too!
Enjoyed that today, prob use heavier weight next time. Keep them coming Gary, luv the kettlebell workouts. Thanks
Thank you Gary, loved this one. It's funny how you get to the second round and suddenly the sweat comes! I started out on a 6kg having never done anything like this before but think I'll need to up it to something a bit weightier!
Halfway through, I thought I needed a heavier weight, but I was sweating by the end. Just the right amount of challenge 👍
Nice one 💪🏻
Another brilliant workout and I can already feel the difference these are having on me. Barefoot has been a revelation too… loving it !
Just read your email , really glad it’s helped and I will send you a bit more info 👌🏼
This one felt easier, after following through and repeating your last ones I think a heavier weight might be in order 😮
Cheers Gary, enjoyed that. I couldn’t manage the ‘pull through’ due to not being able to get up on toes so did swings instead! 🙌
Good to hear you can do the balance work, hopefully that means the foot recovers quick 👌🏼
Thanks Gary. Did this one after one of the earlier ones so 40 mins of strength. Was tough but great sessions
Great effort 👍🏼
love these sessions on the car park
😂 at some point I need to go to a car park
Another great workout Gary, thanks. I’m really enjoying following you along, 20 mins is really manageable to fit into my day and you bring a good vibe
How many times a week do you recommend we hit these workouts?
Two would be great but whatever you can manage consistently 👌🏼👌🏼
Great stuff this one - i found the heel taps and knee holds easy. Is it ok to add some kind of lift or extra movement into those? Might just be a tight bastard and need a heavier bell! Thanks!
Nice one! If you’re ceiling is high enough you can add a press into the knee hold so that you need to work harder to be stable , with the heel taps you can try a straighter leg but be cautious of that curve in the spine 👍🏼 …. Sometimes with this Core stuff it’s not about being too difficult through it all we just want to challenge it overall 💪🏻
Thanks, enjoyed that, right amount of challenge for me!
The step up in kettle bell weights seems to great on some exercises. I use kettle bells at local gym. Are there any additional precautions etc we should consider if we use dumbbells
Not really…
