@@cooperjordan1554im not entirely convinced tbh. The one obsession with trina not only seems to still be deeply captured by her he even tells you he is despite miquella's enchantment. Meaning on some level, he's still following his own goals, just not in opposition to miquella's goals.
Besides, miquella's abilities raise an interesting thematic question in elden ring, is there such a thing as freewill?
Think about it, the carians for example have this whole thing about the stars guiding your fate. Fate, is a thing in elden ring, and the cost of avoiding it reveals itself to ve quite dire. Radhan, being a possible victim of this. Marika's own divine order seems based on the idea of causality and regression, two things that contradict the notion of freewill. Maybe miquella is doing something similar. Maybe he doesn't have a choice either. Maybe he does but maybe he as a demigod was limited in his choices. Trina seems to imply that even as a god. His choices would also be limited. Implying that even gods dont possess absolute freewill.
