- Norfolk Southern 127 engine trouble on the Union Pacific DPU they are broke down in Bluff City. Also, it has something strange that I have never saw, if you know what it is please comment. Thanks for watching.
It's a generator rotor to a power plant. It's the rotating part that fits inside the stationary part that generates a magnetic field and creates electricity. They're usually pretty darn heavy (hence the need for the 12 axle flat car), since they're made up of a heavy steel forging and lots of copper wire windings.

That looks like a turbine for a generator for a power plant. It goes inside the steam pressure vessel and the steam spins it making electric ⚡⚡💡💡

That could be a solid rocket booster for the heavy Air force cargo planes to give them supersonic speed.
We saw those for 4 days when the Ukraine war started flying at 70,000 feet breaking the sound barrier at 3am rattling all the houses over eastern PA and NJ

It’s not a turbine or generator rotor . Look at the ball ends . Its most likely the vertical shaft out of a rock crusher. . A turbine would be bigger at one end and a generator would be larger in the middle with both would be covered with more protection
