I am a BIG FAN of Mads Mikkelsen, but can we just appreciate the other actors? Magnus Milang as Nikolaj (the psychology teacher), Lars Ranthe (the music teacher) and Thomas Bo Larsen (the PE teacher) all did an amazing job to make the story come to life! Without them and the stories of their characters, the film wouldn't be half as good as it is! I seriously love everything about this movie - from the actors to the plot and the small details!
This movie deserves an oscar and Thomas Vinterberg deserves more credit. When this movie was in the making, his daughter Ida was, unfortunately, a victim of a car accident. They loved the idea for the movie and that's why Vinterberg, her father, continued the movie. If it was for her sake, I don't know, but I'd like to think that Ida would be proud of her dad :-)

@@diegoalvarez64 I'm partly excited and partly frightened.. Leonardo DiCaprio is a god, but I dislike the US always making remakes of international movies or tv-series... Why can't they leave the masterpiece that is 'Another Round' alone and stop stealing the credit?

@@sinebachrenleff847 in this regard I think Thomas might be feeling proud that his movie was so good that the US wanted to tap into that theme aswell, as much as it can feel like movies or series don't get the respect they deserve because some people would not have any idea where the whole concept comes from originally.
Still we gotta see what they do with it before we judge because the culture is so different between US and DK

I totally get both the pride and the want of doing a remake so all, even those whom wont read subs, might see it. None better than Dicaprio could pick it up. But every time a remake is done of a Scandinavian movie, so much is changed even in the plot, that it's a totally diff film. I hope it's for once 1:1. Thomas, Tobias, the film and the entire cast deserves the success and being noticed.

Actually i think the dance is telling the story and what the movie is about, in the start of the movie, he didn’t want to dance like he used to, he had lost the life sparkle, but at the end after the journey, he started dancing, sad down looked at the sea, thinking about his friend death, and remembered that he just needed to let go, and enjoy life, then jumped from the seat and danced like hell, wonderful, and made me want to enjoy life even more :-)

Frankly, I needed this film. Not to dampen the mood, but working in the health field, throughout 2020, I was scared and tired, approaching 2021. I'm just a medical secretary, now. Ain't a hero nurse, or anything. But, it was still pretty darn scary going to work every day during the pandemic, full-time, then part-time. (Can't earn a living from my writing, see?) In the movie, Martin met adversity, and he danced! And he flew! He was able to fly high. He grieved for his friend. But, then, he got a second chance with his wife. HOPE. Amidst adversity- the idea of hope keeps us going. I think that this is the reason that this film has touched us. In 2021, we all need hope. I'm so thankful for this film!

I recorded my own reaction on snapchat and i look so fucking sad. I think this is in my top 10 movies of all time. I do not resonate with anything within the movies main perspectives, yet it hits me and grabs me so well. I am a fellow Dane so i may be biased to our drinking culture, but the thing is, that ending may seem like an extremely happy moment but in reality its actually VERY sad.
It completes alot of the problems within the characters like Martins back, getting over the PE teachers death, opening up to the students from the school OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL. The fact that the main characters open up like that at the end really shows what kind of control the real life government really are in. This movie by far had the best ending ive seen in any movie EVER. That comes from a guy who's favourite movie is Whiplash.

I will be happy if this movie is remade in Tamil in India.. With a little bit of local tinge that will fit to our audience here.. mainly let this song remain the same🙏 and few more songs too. "Friends" and "Family n kids" these can be focus few more songs. Nandri👍
All the very best to all the team👍

Thank you Thomas Vinterberg for creating such an incredibly story and leading amazing Danish actors in an interesting "scientific research " . It is closer to reality than we think. I have high school teacher, I have university teacher who were under influence of alkohol or other substance, I don't know. They were more articulate than ever, they were more open for any discussion. Did they have a drink before class? I bet they did. So what?

This film is a masterpiece! I love DiCaprio and his art, but I think he can not touch this playing. All of the characters, situations and moods of the tale are 100% European. Every each moment has many meanings, from deep to high. With all respect for American people and culture, no one can understand it with an American attitude (sorry). No judge, it is a simple fact.

I don't see how this movie could ever be translated into an American film, as it deals so much with the Scandinavian view of alcohol in all its hope and gloom. The perspective of alcohol in America is so different, I don't get how you would even start to translate a film like Another Round without it ending up looking contrived and becoming soulless.
