Anyone who thinks 1080p isn't good enough just likes fancy numbers. To put it into perspective, this 1080p screen is just over twice as sharp as an 8k 65" TV. I don't need a handheld that can play games for 30 minutes for an unnoticeable difference in picture quality.
Never said 1080p was bad, I game in 1080p 120 on the PS5 and when I stream it’s 1080p 60fps so I know 1080p is good, that video was even recorded in 1080p 30fps so I’m not tripping that it’s 1080p 60 I was just being funny
So if you pre order the PlayStation portal will it arrive on the 15th or be shipped out by the 15th kinda confusing and when will they charge the money??
So if you pre-order from PlayStation Direct it will ship Nov 13 and arrive Nov 15, they normally take your money out on like Nov 12-13 to make sure you get it by November 15, cause when I order the PS5 Dualsense edge controller I got it from PlayStation direct on release date like at 3:30pm in the afternoon
How does it charge
Via usb c or mains adaptor to wall
Yeah it should charge something like that via usb c and plugging it to the wall.
Can't wait for it to be delivered. Sucks about the headphones but probably worked out best. My wife already saying I don't get nothing for Xmas 😂😂

I'd much rather this than play on a phone. On a phone it won't even play full screen and has massive black boarders. Also excited for the 8 inch screen and the adaptive triggers.
Yeah the screen on a phone be small, and this new PS Portal with 8” screen going to be great even if it’s 1080p I ain’t tripping long as I can game on the go I’m good.

But if you own the console, with this device you really can STREAM from the ps5 with good rate and performance
Thanks to Sony for my one, came this morning in a white box then the portal itself and whew. It used such a low amount of data to stream thanks to Sonys new connection method. But wait till you guys see why none of these dudes be showing you the Home Screen just wait 😂
@@alexmcphee6789 well they can’t show you cause it’s not out yet, and it’s they under contract, not allowed to show until release date, but once mine come in I’m going to take it places and use it other places while the PS5 at home on my good high speed internet 🛜 but now I’m really can’t wait to see it
What if you cant get on Wi-Fi for example on a plane can you not play anything?
Well if you on a plane and they didn’t have WiFi you just have to set it to airplane mode like you do your phone and just wait until you land!

@@jackgoad321 well you gotta make sure before you book a plane ✈️ that you got access to WiFi first some planes charge to use WiFi but if you get it free your good! But, then you still gotta make sure it’s not a internet WiFi connection cause then you gotta access it through your phone instead
Will the portal be able to be used as a controller for the PS5?
Now that idk I think it’s just a controller to play PS Remote Play wireless but I definitely will find out and try it when it comes out

@@kaditaanderson4182 yeah those are out there, but those are the sample device with a few features not the full options one, all companies do that, especially to get feedback before the final release.

1080p is the resolution 60mhz is the frames. U were saying 1080phz haha. I got confused. I think u wanted a 120mhz display.
lol my bad, yeah I meant 120fps would be great, but 60fps is fine with the 1080p just glad to have the full experience and not have to always play on a phone if I’m out and about.
@@CraytonTv yeah ur right man. I’m just being critical. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in this product. I wanna see how well it performs. I wish I wouldn’t have bought the backbone last year since it pretty much does the same thing. This PlayStation portal looks so much better with the dedicated display and fully featured dual sense grips.
@@sirownzalotgaming3025 Yeah, and still get the full play of a PS5 controller in your hand, with the adaptive triggers, but the backbone I like that to, got tons of features for it I can’t wait to compare them

Yeah same here! But they come out next month but you still can use a 3.5mm headphone jack, I’m definitely going to try Bluetooth just to see if it work I doubt it,

TheY could have put a 4k and 120 hrtz. Sony does make 4k tvs. And it would be good piece of technology to promote their TV lines.
Yeah they could of, but I think PlayStation got a newer handheld console on the way like a PSP 3.0 that will do 4K 120 or 1440p 120 prolly in the works to keep up and compete with Steam Deck, ROG, etc.

Facts, PlayStation coming hard this year & especially for the holidays, they getting all the kids parents pockets even the adults, PlayStation Portal, earbuds, new headset, new PS5 slim, and many more, so gotta give them they credit where it’s due and they do it right and listen to the audience and customers. This holiday season about to be a blast 💥

@@CraytonTv Sony doesn't realize how popular the handheld market is, they could just dub down the graphics of games for a portable device, we have handheld gaming PC's now, would make sense for them to compete especially being able to play exclusives anywhere natively, they could even add backwards compatibility with previous consoles with official emulation, no need for native backwards compatibility.

For $200 I must bring up my concern on drift. I’m hoping they don’t release another unit 2 years down the line with replacement thumb sticks for $300 on some Dual Edge bs.

People keep complaining about the Portal having only a 1080p display, when that is the highest level of quality you can stream via remote play. And for PS4 you need to have the PRO otherwise it capped at 720p.
