I just got a Golftec Swing eval here in TX. USA. I signed up for 15 lessons. My instructor gave me this very drill to work on. Cheers!

The sequence of drills you suggest to eliminate the “chicken wing” is excellent and easily understandable. My biggest issue at age 71 is developing/maintaining the muscular flexibility in the follow through to mirror what you have demonstrated.

this is absolutely one of the best explanations I have ever seen on the " chicken wing " .....I recently went to the range and took some video of my 7 iron swing and sure enough, I found I have still these faults after thinking I had corrected this problem .....I also noticed that I am not getting my lead leg to straighten very much or push backwards into the ground at all , as I approach impact or after impact and I believe it's related .....I will work harder on keeping my arms more together and chest / spine tilting backwards , but any advise on how to achieve the correct lead leg feeling near impact ?...thanks much

Thankyou Gary for watching and hopefully this helps. As regards to impact i think it’s hard to think about but keep working on the finish and work on shorter/slower swings to achieve this

Great video, as always, Nick. Use this as a "dry drill" each evening to re-program the body. On average, what would you recommend regarding the time we need to spend with these drills, say 15 min a day minimum or so?

    Nothing wrong with chicken wing
Viktor hovland has chicken wing and is one of the best golfers on the planet with 18mill in career earnings
Only thing in golf that matters is how the club face makes contact with the ball.
How you actually get to this move doesn't matter
