Bangkok, as we all know is a city of markets where you can witness something unique in every district. One of these markets are the Lat Mayom Floating market. This ginormous market is widely famous for its 1-and-a-half-hour boat trip around the Klong Lat Mayom. This boat trip takes you to two main locations. Initially the Wat Saphan Temple and floating market where you can pay respect to the Luang Phor Dam Buddha image as well as shop around the market where you can get fresh vegetables, fruits, delicious street food and desserts. One of the main attractions in that area is the Floating boat Pad Thai shop where the vendor prepares delicious Pad Thai on a boat! Moving ahead from the temple and floating market, there is also a beautiful Orchid Farm in the trip. Nyom’s Orchid Farm welcomes their guests to witness a beautiful selection of common and rare orchid flowers, most of which you can buy and take home. However, there are some flowers in the farm that are just there for viewing. There is also a coffee shop in the farm so you can enjoy a drink while looking at the flowers and also taking pictures with them. The boat ride not only offers these two places but also an overview of the entire area, with a gorgeous view of the Klong that accommodates a traditional Thai settlement in its shores. With houses, temples and the lifestyle of the people living in the community, it is worth to look at. Coming back from the trip to the main market, you can see 6 zones of the entire market place. Zone 1 and 2 is where you can get fresh fruit and vegetables along with delicious food. Zone 3 is where you can buy various furniture and souvenirs. Zone 4 and 5 is the main area where you can take the boat trip. Lastly, Zone 6 is a small market zone which is on the other side of the Klong. The beautiful view, slight breeze as you sit on the boat along with a traditional, nostalgic ambience would definitely make you feel fresh and rejuvenated.
