We love the homage that was paid to Mos Def in this song by maintaining the integrity of the melody and at the same time he was able to add in a current trap drum sound that blended effortlessly!!! JID was full of lyrical acrobatics and it feels like he is doing this with such ease!!! This Dirty South talent continues to have us at the edge of our seats wanting more. JID Forever!!!

That's what I love about reactions. You can see them losing their shit to a bar, pause, talk about how perfect it sounds, meanwhile you heard the whole song and know the next bar gonna send them to God. It's hilarious and interactive and fire

Loved the reaction. Always great to see some old school hip hop fans listening to new stuff and recognizing when they paying homage and I appreciate how you guys also like the newer style of rap. Also JID said that 3 stacks is one of his inspirations (makes sense since they both from Atlanta) as well as a bunch of old jazz and r&b

When you’re done with this album, I really recommend listening to his older album called “The Never Story” since this is a 2nd part to that album it would be a good thing to step back in time and listen to what he made in the first part. Loving the JID videos keep it up!

JID is the one that actually got my faith up in US hip hop game again, not that I don't listen to trappers and all, but the quality, lirically speaking, has been falling off. This situation has me searching for new artists and it really opened my horizons, on a global scale as well.

As soon as you mentioned most def, i just smiled cause of "stars" later on the album. (Yasiin bey is most def for the uneducated.) Love the reactions as always, my top J.I.D songs that you havnt reacted too yet are "off da zoinkys", "29 freestyle", "just the other day", and "off deez". Agreed JID is his own person no doubt and I also think he is a great student of the game. He has the Kendrick, Andre, Wayne and Cole influence however from what I’ve heard so far he is able to create a gumbo pot with all combined to call his own.
