I remember going there in 1966 and 1967. The diving Bell, riding a bubble over the ocean, the musical carousel, and the rollercoaster were my favorite rides. If I I remember right, it closed down in 1969.

P.O.P. is always nice to see and remember. But now I'll associate the place with guys in green jumpsuits that turn red when you shoot them.

They also filmed the final episode of the TV series THE FUGITIVE at POP. David Janssen starred as Dr. Richard Kimble, who was wrongfully convicted of murdering his wife. A train taking him to prison got into a wreck and he made his escape. He is hunted by Detective Lieutenant Gerard, played by Barry Morse, until Kimble finally finds the real murderer and kills him at POP. Great series!

How many times i past that very same spot. Looks like still open or just closed down. I actually thought the space flight attraction was real i cried at first but then got into it. The magic carpet ride was cool. I only lived about ten miles away and my dad loved amusement parks i was a Disneyland CA. on opening day. i must have been 2 but i remember.
