WOW that is an inspirational story in that you are truly happy and you have people very supportive of you. I am sorry you had that prank done on you.. But it is nice like I say you made lemonade out of the lemons. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much for sharing your coming out story. Your experience was certainly not pleasant, but you've had enough time to recover from what you experienced. I think this sends an important message to young adults considering coming out--even if your experience is less than you might wish, it may be painful, but you'll likely recover.
Hi, I'm from a country in the South East Asia. In our country, there's a lots of discrimination about this topic. Especially, I'm from a Chinese family. Now I'm already 45, I don't think I can be what I want, and I dare not think about it too. So sad..
I hope that the last three years have gone well for you since this video. You seem to have come to some great realizations here. This video is going on my "Coming Out As Gay" RUclips Playlist.
Jessse, I 82 yrs. old and have been dealing with this my whole life, since my teens. I have accepted myself about who I am. I would love the chance to talk to you my friend. I would love the chance yo hug you!!!
i completely agree, unfortunately there is nothing i can do to change the past but moving forward i will have karma on my side. i just have to make the best of the future =)
i had to forgive them for myself...it felt so much better to release all of the negative energy i was holding on to. I just had to realize that i had no control over what had happened, but what i did have control over was how i handled myself after it had happened, and upon realizing this i am so much happier =)
Very courageous coming out good luck and thanks you for your story .hello From France :)I'm with my boyfriend since 16 years and it was not easy every day :)
Jesse, I'm sorry to hear about the prank. That was mean and it takes a stronger person to forgive. I wish I could have been there for you that night. You sound like your getting better and have a great bf. Life is too short to worry about what others think. Live your life to the fullest everyday and you will be a stronger person for it. Your bf sounds like he makes you happy too. That's awesome! I'm glad you made this video. if I hadn't moved I would have been the 40th graduate I'm my class.
I went to school with you. I remember what it was like for you, remember seeing and hearing constant pressure from other people who kept trying to make you come out of the closet. I'm really glad that you're happy now, that's the most important thing. Watching this was the first time I became aware of what they'd done to you. If I were you, I wouldn't have forgiven them even for myself - wouldn't be able to. (ps, there were 54 kids in our graduating class... at least, I think.)
Its awesome to hear you speak that way about realizing this! keep that attitude through the rest of your teen years, and only come out when you feel you are ready to regardless of any pressure from anyone else =D
Wow, what a story. Those two girls were definitely wrong to trick you like that, but it's great that you've forgiven them and moved on. Peace and love to you from Dongguan City China.
OK and you'v already lived to interpret things or happenings in contetext so that things arnt simply all they appear to be at the time and may hold a key to well lets say 'possibilities' and lived to come out of it well, handled it with good attitude,Always do that, and enjoy the trip. Mikee.
You are one of the most awesome people ever! Id admire your confidence. I like your shirt as well. (Also gay guy here.) You are an inspiration for everyone!! :)
Well again im glad that you used the word 'misconception' so that means that you very definately held a view of what is 'normal' so it automaticaly figgers that view had to be misconcieved, i could go into numerouse reasons for that but i gess that a quick glance around you will suffice. But just to refer back to what some of your concepts may have been haveing looked and listened to you my advice would be 'for goodness sake dont becume 'normal' lol,, Mikee.
If your idea is correct, I'm impressed if only because we haven't spoken in a long time. Regardless, I am very proud of you and always will be for finding the courage to be yourself and finding happiness in it.
u have so much courage and goodness. and your so beautiful inside and outside! those girls probably suffer much for there guilt. im glad your happy :3 continue to live with a free heart x3
Im not sure how you found this video, or who you are ( i may have and idea =P) but I am glad you did! =) Making this video was a huge weight off my shoulders. I just moved to NYC and am still figuring out who i am and what that means, but i hope by sharing this, somebody else will have a slightly easier time accepting the truth than i did! live and learn. oh, and about forgiving the girls...my life is today, right now at this very moment. I have no control over what happened yesterday,
lol thank you ^_^ this video was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders...ive been out for years, but didn't feel like i had the chance to say it till now
Thank you! I hope by sharing my story i can help someone else struggling to accept themselves..it took a while for it to click for me but when it did my whole life changed =)
but it was such a cruel way though, i call it evil. that wasn't your time, at least i like to think it isn't because coming out finally at peace with yourself to me is something you are suppose to celebrate even if it is by yourself, something you chose to do because you are ever ready, it's like a liberation from one's torment. but no matter, you're happy and yourself and that is what matters. i wish you more boundless happiness. :)
i would never forgive those girls, but i would just simply forget them and if say, some years down the road their existence is uttered in my presence i would be reminded and still i wouldn't forgive them but rather just choose to forget about them again and proceed on with my empire (not literal empire but with my family and husband and career). but thanks for the story. :)
Ok, I get some people like to do prank on people. BUT doing that to their close friend for A WHOLE SUMMER is cruel. No really, you're very nice to forgive them.
I'm trying to spend more time deconstructing my concept of what is normal instead of spending more time trying to be what my misconception of normal is..difficult, but rewarding this far =)
This comment does not make me angry, instead i feel sorry for such uneducated people. Everyone will have their opinion and they are entitled to it. But please friends do not let such uneducated people bring you down! These people make it scary to come out of the closet but once you embrace the fact that you will always be faced with diversity for being yourself it becomes ok, so love yourself and shine on my friends! xoxo
I'm just a firm believe that everything happens for a reason, before then i never even considered living life as a gay man..just staying in the closet and being miserable forever. But i am much happier now and can finally be myself =)
You can always do whatever it is that you want to do, regardless of what you anybody else. when it comes down to it YOU get to decide who you are and how you feel so worry not my friend =D
Very interesting story. i like you're shirt, too. i've got the same shirt :-) do you always wear your shirts with plunging necklines? I love that!!!!!! (I'm 22 and gay)
Negative reactions are quite interesting to me, especially when people bring the bible into it. So lets clear some road way, how about the quote "thy shall be judged before the lord by the standards in which he has judged his fellow man" . Just a little commentary. Take it as you will. The world is a dark enough place, do we need to blow out what little glow there is left in this damp and wilting earth. God loves gays as much as he does anyone. Just as he loves the atheist who does not believe..
Nice coming out story man. I love seeing people have the courage to share their story. You should definitely check out my coming out video on my channel.
Well done mate I'm glad your happy.. mind tho if my friends did that to me I wouldn't speak to them ever again. But your a strong person and very sexy mate
or 5 years ago, but i do have control over right now, and the decisions i make. basically, there is just no point to care about what they did any more =)
Wow you went to school with some real creeps I think you would do better off moving to another state the hell with that part of your past you should move somewhere where you feel safe and you can be open about your sexuality I know this is an old video hopefully you're married by now.
Two things. Please, please don't say sexual preference. It gives the haters fuel that people decide to be gay and as we know, there is no decision about it. Good that you are the sort of person who can forgive. At the end of the day those girls are bullies. They could have made you spiral into depression. I would let them know how much it hurt you.
WOW that is an inspirational story in that you are truly happy and you have people very supportive of you. I am sorry you had that prank done on you.. But it is nice like I say you made lemonade out of the lemons. Thanks for sharing.
Wow Jesse. That's an incredible story. Congratulations on your relationship, may it last forever.

I know exactly what you mean. For so long, I thought that I was wrong, and the whole world was right. I am never going to deny who and what I am.
"taste the rainbow!" lol! that was so adorable haha i couldn't stop but chuckle :) thanks for sharing your story dude it actually is very helpful
Things happen sometimes that way. Get yourself together, and keep going. You're an amazing person, and you'll find someone in the future.
Great outlook, incredible story so happy for you. I am encouraged but have mixed emotions and thoughts on own self. Much love , enjoy life.
I love hearing this from you. You're on your way, man! You'll do fine.

Thanks Cjay...right now its me time, and i am definitely not looking for anyone, gotta focus on myself and do me for a change

everyone keeps mentioning that lol I'm such a dork! I'm glad you found this helpful, I'm happy to share my story =)

My high school graduating class was four, that is a small town! It had a population of about 232, give or take a couple.
