Speaker : Nouman Ali Khan - A bit about him
Nouman Ali Khan is the founder and CEO of Bayyinah. His first exposure to Arabic study was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he completed his elementary education. He continued Arabic grammar study in Pakistan, where he received a scholarship for ranking among the top 10 scores in the national Arabic studies board examinations in 1993. But his serious training in Arabic began in the United States in 1999 under Dr. Abdus-Samie, founder and formal principal of Quran College, Faisalabad, Pakistan who happened to be touring the US for intensive lectures in Tafsir and Arabic studies. Under Dr. Abdus-Samie, Nouman developed a keen methodical understanding of Arabic grammar. He further benefited from Dr. Abdus-Samie by internalizing his unique teaching methods and later translating his work into English for the benefit of his own students. Nouman served as professor of Arabic at Nassau Community College until ’06 and has taught Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for nearly 7 years with over 10,000 students nationwide. Currently he has dedicated himself to a seven-year-long project, of conducting a linguistic & literary focus Qur’anic Tafseer series in English. I agreee!! I love to hear all scholars but he is the best for me. I easily understand his speech and what he say always hit me (like I can related it most of the time) & somewhat helping me in my difficulties. Then I become more motivated & closer to my deen. When you do intense dhikir and burn your energy through remembrance of Allah, you will be very balanced and not too obsessed in a manic way for future, instead a calmness overtakes you and you realize you just invested in your future so there is nothing to worry about, your deeds are safe with Allah.

Allah will ease the way that is right for you when it's your time to go inshallah. I wanted to go for many years but it just wasn't happening for me especially trying to arrange a mahram to go with me. Then last year out of the blue everything starting falling into place unexpectedly and I was blessed to go. Allah is the best of planners Allhamdolilah. Trust his timings and be happy with his decree always. Try praying istikara and seek Allah's guidance through prayer. That will put your mind at ease inshallah.

Khan....insha'allah...commentary on the online videos of "Sheikh Imran Hosein"....very interesting, but his approach is troubling as he blatantly over and over encourages his Muslim viewers, based on his interpretations of hadith, to resign themselves to fighting wars...doesn't seem to mention too often "the Steep Path" mentioned in Surah Balad, struggling for peace seems more in line with Qur'anic teachings....thank you!
