    0:17 When I first watch to the episode of The Simpsons with Ringo Starr as himself I actually recognised his voice immediately as the guy who narrated Thomas and Friends from seasons 1 to 2

      You can put the narration in Thomas & Friends and nobody would know the difference

    02:59: A mile isn't usually called a kilometre in the UK; our road signs tend to use yards and miles. It's also common for the British to give their height in feet and inches, order pints of beer, and even express weight in stone and pounds. Promoting the metric system is more of a French cultural tendency.

      I'm from Australia, and for decades before I moved to the UK and having lived in Greece as well, I just assumed it was Kilometers just like in Au and Gr, I was wrong. Makes no sense as the metric system is used here as well, at least the US has the excuse of using Imperial system.

    • @listerofsmeg884
      @listerofsmeg884 Год назад +2

      We have a weird mixed system. In industry (outside breweries probably) metric is pretty much universal. But in common discussion, imperial is still the norm.

    You know someone's never been to England when they think working class people can afford to live near Tower Bridge.

    5:44 I find hilarious that they were trying to give these to a Yorkshire or Sheffield accent but it just sounds like a bunch of different Northern accents

    I do question why they didn't get an actual British actor to the voice of Hugh in the episode Lisa's wedding would have been a great way to have Hugh Grant in the episode seeing as Hugh Grant is who he's based on

    Other than the inaccuracies about the imperial and metric systems (we use both) this documentary is a 98% accurate depiction of English Life. God Save the King. 👑🤴😂🍺🍻⚽

      the only ones whining about the use of imperial are fakes trying to act superior because they have a severe inferiority complex

    The Big Book of British Smiles 😅
    Sadly so true.
    Forgot our unelected dictator was featured in there
    Amusing also that the waitress featured in Last Exit is wearing a union flag dress very similar to the one ex Spice Girl Gerry Horner (ne Haliwell) wore at the hight of 'Cool Britannia' a few years later 😮
    One clip you've missed is from Wild Bart's can't be broken (season 10 I think) , a parody of children of the corn.
