My father-in-law made a hurdy hurdy once. It never sounded this good. Or good at all for that matter. Still a labour of love, it will never leave our family.

OK, so, since unlike many of the people around here, at the time when this song was released, I was born and in age to listen to music, I've been a huge fan of it since day 1. And Kate Bush being literally a musical genius, I meet any attempt at a cover with a very suspicious eye. But this... 😲 I ended up with f'ing goosebumps! Congrats and thank you, Patty, that was simply awesome!
I agree. Been a Kate fan since 1978 (I'm fucking old), no one messes with kate, but I absolutely love this interpretation.
Really looking forward to your interpretation, I was a big fan of Kate Bush when she published this song all of those years ago, to me it’s timeless, it’s not out of place today and probably for a long time to come!

I love the original but there is something incredible about adding a hurdy gurdy to the song. I think this is everything a good cover should be, it's close enough to the original to be familiar while also being own thing. I think you did an amazing job!
I'm a massive Kate Bush fan, was there when she burst on the scenes back in '78. Now whilst some covers work and others don't, all I can say is "best cover ever"

Bloody hell Patty. This one of the better covers I've heard of late. I loved the song when it came out in 1985, and still love it. the energy you put into the music is absolutely amazing, and the gurdy is just that chef's kiss touch.

you got your gurdy to sound like a cool synth sound, it fits well with the backing track. And few can match or beat Kates voice and passion, but youve done it!
A life long fan of Kate Bush, I long thought you could cover her music and do it justice while still making it your own. This cover has proved that spectacularly! Your voice has such depth and carries the story and the emotions of the song while the Hurdy Gurdy as ever adds such a unique soul to it. Thank you!
I could be biased but I love the giant redwoods here in california. Its enchanting and mesmerizing I could see this being performed amongst them. Absolutely beautiful cover!

One of the best covers I've ever heard. I'm 58 now and was around 20 when Kate released this incredible song. At the time, that was a plea for a change in perspective between the genders. And it was about love - the most exciting thing for young people. Plus this incredible rhythm and dynamic. The disco would always shake from the movements of the dancers. I'm glad I was young at the time - but I'm almost as happy that there's been a revival - thanks to StrangerThings! And that's why new young artists like this one come to Kate Bush and conjure up a really good cover. Thanks for that!!!

Rarely do I like a cover or remake of a song more than the original. But Patty knocked it out of the park. Much better than the original. Keep up the good work Patty.
In Prarie Creek Redwoods State Park, California are many fantastic 1000 to 2000+ year old costal redwoods,, but look up Corkscrew tree. It is uniquely fantastic- and not too far off the road. But then it is almost 6 hours north of San Francisco int. Airport. Still it's so cool.

That was genius. A more powerful vocal than the original and the use of an instrument few people would ever have thought of using.
But scenery... landscapes, memories. I don't know the location of the video but it evokes contrasting memories: First, the peace of waking up on holiday, on a Scottish island, to spectacular countryside and wildlife. Then, as the picture becomes more red/sepia at 2:58, I'm taken a long way back in time, as a young child, looking out of the window at the naval base on the bay, then turning his attention to the portable television in the corner; "I counted them out, and I counted them all back again." And at that moment, in a corner of my mind, life became very frightening.
For years I've been collecting covers of this epic song. Yours is by far my favorite. What a phenomenal job you have done!!!
