“Love In The First Degree” by Alabama is one of my very favorite songs.
That's a good one too.
Mine too
Alabama is most definitely country, they were HUGE in the 80’s….can y’all put their songs “Close enough to perfect and Lady down on love” on the list!!!
They do a song with Jamie Johnson my home my home's in Alabama Jamie Johnson and Alabama the song is called my The song is my homes in Alabama
"The Country side of Alabama" That line got me. LOL!!
Lady Down on Love is one of my favorites but there are so many amazing Alabama songs.
@@jenniferrussell6616 I agree, mine too 😉
@@timcarr6401 🤣 right
Alabama has always been country! They were named band of the decade in the 1980s. Dig deep because every single one of their songs is amazing!
Why Lady Why, There's A Fire In the Night, There's No Way, Old Flame, are some of my favorites by Alabama
Oh you are so right!! Loved everything that they have done!! 💜
Never gets old 💕💕💕
Old Flame got me hooked on them years ago
Old Flame is top tier
One of the most romantic songs is Alabama's "Feels So Right" give it a listen.
Alabama, feels so right , Close enough to perfect
You should do 40 hour week, an anthem for us hard workers, or if your looking for something slow try Feels So Right. Both massive hits for Alabama. Thanks for ya alls reactions.
Feels So Right is my favorite!
Great suggestions!
I've been requesting 40 Hour Week for awhile now. So glad to it in the comments 🥰
I tried and sent them an email to do that for Labor Day last year.
@@nickimontie mine too!
LOVE IN THE FIRST DEGREE. Beautiful song.
Best love song by Alabama...Feels So Right!!!! You both will love it
Amber and Jay, One of my favorite songs of all time is Alabama's Feels So Right. It was a huge hit in the 80's. Since you like their softer side, I think you'll love it too.
Great suggestion 🥰
Alabama never disappoints. This is one of my favorites, but they're all kind of my favorite lol.
And seriously? You can't really go wrong with a good ol' country boy with a beard.
Alabama was an amazing 80s country group! Here in Texas they can't lose lol. Thank you both for this memory
If you're gonna play in Texas....
@@chrisoakley5830 You gotta have a fiddle in the band...
@@sukioki6983 You know it 😜.
“Angels Among Us” by Alabama is a beautiful song
Alabama never made a bad song. RIP to Jeff Cook.
You always can’t go wrong with Alabama! Love in the first degree, There’s no way (this one has a small orchestra), and 40 hour week(for a living) are my suggestions for future reactions. I woke up with a pocket full of smiles to share with everyone and a heart full of love for the robsquad family! ❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Next one should be “love in the first degree” love the harmonies in that one
"Take Me Down" and "Love in the First Degree" was their other two big crossover hits in the early 80's. My favorite era of the band.
Alabama is a country band and i love their sound! I’m from Huntsville, Alabama which is just northwest of Fort Payne, Al which is where they are from! I grew up listening to R&B, Funk, pop, rap, rock and country. Alabama is really good country! ❤❤
Huntsville also.
@@zowiewowie4324 Huntsville here too!
@@zowiewowie4324 awesome!!🎉
@@bryanmoody7389 so cool!🎉
Love Fort Payne, Centre and Lookout Mtn. My best friend was from there.
40 hr week is a great song
"Feel so Right" and "Old Flame" are a couple more from Alabama you should check out.
Love Alabama so much! Don’t want to make anyone jealous, but I got autographs and a kiss from both Teddy and Randy after a concert many years ago. My heart still flutters 🥰. RIP Jeff, never the same without you.
I’d love to see you react to Angels Among Us, beautiful song.
They had 50, #1 hit singles during their career.
not a bad run 50 #1 hits not bad at all!
Alabama was probably the greatest country band of all time. They ruled the 80s and 90s with no serious competition. Love songs were their specialty. " Lady down on love " "She and I ", " Theres no Way" and their biggest one " Feels so Right" is a love MAKIN song. 😂😂 God bless yall from Ky
“Feels so right” is my favorite Alabama song
My first concert.....what a blast. Love all things Alabama even when they do gospel songs. Such a huge rabbit hole.....the whole 80s decade they were literally on top......crossover from country to pop with their good wholesome sound and lyrics 💜🕊️
My first concert was at the county fair. Crystal Gayle, Tom T Hall, Eddie Rabbit and Alabama.
@@russellrofe4849 bet that was so much fun. We were at the Omni in ATL and Juice Newton opened for them
Not my first, but definitely an act that I've seen the most. Probably 15 times or more!
My first too! Great memory with my parents.
Hi Amber and J. The song that got me started on the music of Alabama is "Roll On (Eighteen Wheeler)". Almost 40 years later I still listen to Alabama. RIP Jeff. A couple other songs you might like are "Cheap Seats" and "Tar Top".
They are country. I was never into country music but i REALLY liked these guys. I'm Lovin' it!
I generally hated country, but I liked a number of hits from Alabama. They made it into the Top 40 countdowns a lot in the early 80s, that's for sure. Good crossover appeal.
Likewise. Not much for listening to Country in my teenage years, but I absolutely loved listening to Alabama and later Garth Brooks!
Randy and Teddy are throwing another June Jam this year. First time in 26 yrs. My late wife and I were huge fans and saw them a lot before they hit it big and a few times after that. my favorite song is "Lady Down on Love".
Had a Gr8 time at June Jam in I believe 1991. What a show
Great memories from June Jam ‘94 and ‘95 in Ft. Payne. Roll Tide 🐘
Alabama is awesome!!! They are featured in "Forever Country" artists of then now and forever. Please give it a listen 🎶. Alabama and many many many Country artists are featured.
"Feels so right" and "Angels among us" are both really good songs that I think you'll both really enjoy.
have loved them forever , went to see them in concert 4 times and everytime was just as great as the last . i grew up on their music and one of my very favorites is " Feels So Right " it will get you into trouble through lol . listen to it and you will see what i mean . thanks
I love the Lionel Richie, Alabama collaboration, "Deep River Woman",what a vocal treat
Loooooove Alabama! Could listen to them everyday. They don't make county like this anymore
I am so glad you are continuing your journey with Alabama. They have such a huge catalog of hits. If you want some more fiddle, I would suggest "Tennessee River". I don't think you have reacted to that one yet. I'm pretty sure you will love it.
You can never go wrong with Alabama, all great music 🎼 ✌❤🎶
I've been to 60+ concerts and Alabama was by far the Best live 🙌
I've been to tons of concerts too, and Alabama are among the best. No such thing as band Alabama concert!
Alabama is just plain AWESOME!
Alabama and INXS were the best live bands I've seen.
You need to do Alabama; "Angels among us" next. 😇
Alabama played on pop and country stations at the same time. They were everywhere!!💕💕💕
I saw them in concert twice in the early 80's, back them they were a super group , they had a ton of hits and won a lot of awards year after year. They are one of the biggest selling Country Music Groups of all time.
They had so many hits and won so many awards.
Also 2 of the best Christmas albums ever made.
Pretty sure they are generally seen as the greatest country band of all time. And when you look at the number of hits they had, especially the consecutive #1 hits they had in a row...I don't think it's really even close.
"FEELS SO RIGHT" BY THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The quintessential Alabama song to me is "My Home is Alabama" takes me back to a 8-tack in 1980
Feels So Right is another great song from Alabama...very romantic🔥💕
Alabama ruled the country music awards in 80's. They are more up beat country then most! And I believe their music has stood the test of time!
So happy you are getting back to Alabama!!! Lady Down on Love is so beautiful and heartbreaking....you'll love it.
Owens, Cook, and Gentry are cousins. That's why you get that harmony! Herndon's drum skills are awesome! 🥰
Please check out Brad Paisley - Old Alabama. It features Alabama and is kind of a tribute to them. Do the official video.
Great song
Excellent suggestion! I loved seeing them perform together. It was amazing
And I really liked how alot of Alabama's song titles were in the lyrics
Alabama might be my favorite Country group.
Alabama had a duet with Lionel Richie in the mid 80s. The song was called Deep River Woman. It was a big hit on the Country charts.
There's a reason why they won a lot of awards...you can put Alabama on replay and not get tired of it....their Great!
Alabama is the best ...u need to hear Love In the First degree..it's Awesome!
Hey Jay and Amber!!! I got news for ya. Alabama is a country band!! They were one of the most successful country music groups ever. And they are all cousins. One of them is no longer with us. The lead guitarist died fairly recently. They had a bunch of #1 songs and won the Grammy for best duo or group several years in a row!! They are awesome!!
"Close Enough to Perfect" and "Old Flame" are two musts, but Alabama never had a bad song.
two more of my favorities
"The Nashville Sound" was changing a little in the '80s, but Alabama is Country.
I saw Alabama at the Scope in Norfolk VA. After the concert, the boys sat at a table and signed autographs for the fans until the last fan was through.
You can never go wrong with music by Alabama. My faves are Mountain Music and Love in the First Degree.
"Why Lady Why" by Alabama is a must listen. Amber will swoom.
they helped define the prime country era....this song was a radio staple.
Definitely a country band. The three main members are cousins so that’s why it seems they are good buddies. Thats also why they have that sibling/family harmony. ❤️ them!
When Christmas comes around…Thistlehair the Christmas Bear should be on your reaction list. It was a great break from the traditional Christmas songs. Your littles will love it too. Be Safe and Be Blessed.
The drummer's name was Mark Herndon. He was not an official member of Alabama, even though he played with them for something like 25 years. Randy Owens, Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry were all cousins and they are out of Fort Payne, Alabama. They were country superstars, won loads of awards (over 200), and were even named Artist of the decade for the 1980's. Great, talented band! Sounded as good live as the albums every time I saw them.
Their music is why they won the CMA (Country Music Association) award for Entertainer Of the DECADE! Not just of the year, but of the entire decade (1980’s!)! If you want to hear a fifth “style” of their music, then you need to react to their song, “Lady Down on Love”.
Such great reactions to this wonderful song. Alabama has had the success they have due to their ability to have a wide variety of themes and style influences for their songs. If Alabama would of only did the same thing all the time - they probably wouldn't be who they are now with the success they have had.
Alabama is good, have great harmonies. Another band I like with great harmonies is Shenandoah. You guys should check them out.
Y'all are awesome I listen to y'all All the time
At 2:04 when Randy sings "there's something magic, the way that I feel, in your arms" you looked at each other. Can definitely see how much you 2 love each other and that's amazing.
Love your reactions.
I've mentioned it before, knowing how you like songs that tell a story, you would love Roll On by them.
There's no such thing as a bad Alabama song. RIP Jeff Cook. The drummers name is Mark Herndon
You simply have to do 'Feels So Right'...and make sure it's the one listed as the official video, it has them on stage. My guess is Amber may never be the same!
i agree . i hope my husband will always feel that way about me
Was not uncommon in the early 80’s to hear an Alabama song on a rock station.. outstanding group
Just like a lot previous comments these guys were HUGE in the 80's !!! So many hits ! My personal favorite is: Feels so right. Check it out.
My favorite as well.
They were winning all the awards in the 80s. I saw them live. It was great.
Great classic song here! Thank you so much for the reaction! My father, who passed away in 2015 was a big fan of Alabama and I always loved their sound! Randy, Teddy and Jeff are cousins. The drummer was Mark Herndon. He is no longer in the band. Sadly Jeff passed away last fall after a battle with Parkinson’s.
"Roll On" is a classic. Along the same lines is "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood and "Teddy Bear" by Red Sovine. All three are emotional road storyteller songs.
OMG! I forgot about Teddy Bear by Red Sovine! Storytelling excellence! And a tear jerker!!!
Beautiful middle chorus by Alabama
ALABAMA WAS GREAT LOVE ALL THIER SONGS FROM THE 80S ON ONE OF THE BEST COUNTRY BANDS EVER LOVE IT
Alabama's cover of the Carpenter's "Touch Me When We're Dancing" is one their best. Y'all should definitely react to it!! Alabama was the biggest country artist of the 80's. Everything they touched turned to gold
Originally released by the rock band, Exile. About a year Alabama released this, Exile converted to a country band! RIP Jeff Cook
Couldn't even begin to count how many times my wife and I danced to this song and all of Alabama's music!
Life long Alabama resident and fan here. I wish y’all would listen to some of their early music. Feels so Right, Love in the first Degree, Lady down on Love. And also Jeff Cook passed away about a month or so ago ( thought y’all might like to know). Love y’all’s channel.
I grew up listening to Alabama. 🥰It reminds me of childhood, my mom and dad...just good times!! 🙌❤️
Lady Down on Love has awesome harmonies! Feels so Right is a sweet love song.
I remember this playing on the radio whenever I'd ride somewhere with just my dad (he always turned on the local country station when mom wasn't present). Makes me smile... thank you!
Wife here..Growing up in the 80's Looooved Alabama..., Always visited "The Bowery" on vacation in Myrtle Beach SC...Where they got started as the house band!!
I can’t remember if y’all did Love in the First Degree or not, but it’s another favorite. Love me some Alabama! ❤
They have over 40+ number one hits alone. Saw them 4 times and always great. Check out a song that is fun and another side of them that doesn't get talked about. The song "Gonna Have Party". Specifically their live version if you can.
All songs by Alabama are fantastic and I'm so glad y'all love them like I do. I would also like for y'all to check out the band Restless Heart. My favorite songs by them are "The Bluest Eyes In Texas", "I'll Still Be Loving You", "Wheels", "Fast Movin' Train", and "Let The Heartache Ride".
My favorite Alabama song, but all their songs were great! Glad you reacted to this one in particular.
..."Class of 76"...Alabama...The gift that keeps on giving!
They had a sound that appealed to both country and pop/rock. I think that is what made them so successful.
The BEST country group EVER!!! I wish I’d been to their concerts more than the SIX times I’ve been!!!
Speaking Of Alabama,, Big Mama Thorton + Janis Joplin = Alabama Shakes "Don't Wanna Fight" (Live From Capitol Studio A)..A MUST HEAR..TRUTH!!
They were one of the top country bands in the 80s all kinds of hits you have just scratched the surface!
"Take me down" is an awesome song, great harmonies!! Can't believe I'm not seeing more people suggesting it!
Feels so Right by Alabama you guys will love
If you haven't done "roll on" by them, you are missing out! I will definitely check your video library for this one in case I slept on it
My all time favorite band went to some of their June jams and all the concerts they had in my hometown
Gotta check out the song " My home's in Alabama"...one of my favorites!!
I just went to their concert last month!! They still rock!! They pay tribute to Jeff, as well!!
Happy to see you react to an Alabama ballad, which they do just as well as the uptempo songs. Hope y'all will react next to my favorite Alabama song, "Close Enough to Perfect." It's one of the best love songs ever written.
Very much enjoy watching you appreciate the music I grew up with. The 50's, 60's, 70's and early 80's were some fantastic music along all genres. Pure music and musical artestry without all the electronic enhancements. For a humorous change check out some Ray Stevens! 'Mississippi Squirrel Revival', 'The Streak' , ' Everything is Beautiful'.
LOVE IN THE FIRST DEGREE. GREAT
