For us, it's all about your goals. If you have a major goal then you will schedule your free time around that goal. Suddenly, relaxation time becomes "relax for the minimum amount so I can get back to my goal." RUclips time becomes "what can I watch on RUclips to help me accomplish my goal." Everything you normally do stacks up allowing you to focus and achieve the "impossible."

Exercise helped me alot because ever since i have started exercising i became less depressed and reading also because it expanded my vocabulary and knowledge just reading a book everyday or when im bored. And drawing is my hobby so i just do that when im bored and it makes me feel happier ever since ive been exercising. So these really do help!

I agree with all these things, but what I think we should definitely also do, is explore. During your free time, go out and experience the things that you're ignorant about. Whether its bungee jumping, scuba diving, community service, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE. For me my purpose of life is to love my family and friends, explore then discovering my passion. Its not like you gotta be a doctor, a lawyer to be successful in life. And also I cannot stress the importance of meditation, (or writing diaries), cuz it really gives you an insight to your thoughts, and makes you reflect on what you're doing right now is right or wrong. Sometimes you're anxious without even knowing it, trust me.
But everytime I comment there seem to be no one seeing it tho. :(

    • @kerehat4446
      @kerehat4446 7 лет назад +2

Potatoes and Tomatoes I can definitely relate to your “problem“ with the comments - and I think it's also because you don't get notified when somebody likes one of your comments. I once wrote a comment and also thought nobody had read it, then there's one comment on my comment and I find out my comment actually has over 50 likes. :D
I also agree on the rest of your comment. Regular self reflection is essential in order to really know yourself, your goals, your strengths and flaws. Only then you are able to make the most out of yourself

    • @potatoesandtomatoes6817
      @potatoesandtomatoes6817 7 лет назад +2

Kerehat yeah... sometimes i comment at the same time some people does, but theirs got likes and replies, but mine didn't (never did, but that's okay: ()
and yes. tho... i feel so tired around 9 everyday and lose ability to focus and study so sometimes i just go to anime and end up sleeping later. Well im gonna make a change today - to washup and actually read some books and meditate! :)

Watching the full video 2. Understating it the point of summation and 3. Commenting it in sequential order. And then I also just wasted more free time commenting this....

I would like to add one. A much overlooked skill that creates self-trust, balance and a sense of accomplishment is training your focus muscle to slowly and deliberately do 1 thing at a time. Its actually the same as you do with meditation, but then during everyday tasks. How you do one thing is how you do everything 🙂

Spent some time for yourself. Talk to yourself and think about the good things u have done and appreciate yourself and think about the bad n try not to repeat and learn a lesson from it.keep motivating yourself.THAT'S IT!!!

imagine what the world would look like if we started teaching kids in school these real life lessons, like how to meditate and be comfortable in yourself, exercising the right amount, having a balanced diet, being creative and taking care of the earth on top of the contemporary mind exercises, insted of just compiling all this nonsense of analytical data in their head and teaching them that it's the only way to be succesful in life. Maybe we would actually be living peaceful lives and not be estranged from each other

Yes, very true, unless you waste time and don't become like John Lennon, then you don't have the righteousness to say that quote, because you are just a bum on the internet saying someone's else's quote, someone who became a big idol.
You may enjoy your time wasted on whatever you want, but did it get you somewhere? Or did you just enjoy it?

If you become happier by the end of it, it is not wasted time.
Not everything you do has to make you 'grow as a person'. Though you could do something more important, it's okay to do something if it brings you joy.
Though it's completely useless if you waste it all the time and not do something productive.

4 months ago I watched this video. I found the idea awesome. Easy, simple and made a lot of logic.
So, I tried to integrate it in my schedule.
At that time I the only rule was applying to my life was reading and sometimes I felt good, but most of the times I felt bad: insecure and not confident about myself, unhappy, unproductive and unmotivated.
I started to do photography as a hobby, for my passion (rule no 4), I started going to gym (rule no 1) for increasing the levels of oxygen and glucose in my body and in my mind and, most important, I started meditating (rule no 3) which made me aware about my situation: when I am hungry => I eat; when I am sad => I go for a walk; when I am stressed => I am looking for what stresses me and try to fix that stress factor.
For 1 month now, the mechanism stopped working. I couldn't focus even if I meditated. I was not feeling strong even if I went to gym or went running. I was not feeling confident about a subject even if I read about it before.
Today, I am watching this video again. It all makes sense to me now. I've stopped doing photography for some time now. One piece in the puzzle that solved my problems for 3 months was missing: PASSION/MOTIVATION.
I will try again your philosophy. Thank you for sharing your idea!

Life is too short waste trying to impress others, just do what you love and don't look back. I have friends that died suddenly as young as 19 and I don't want to have missed out on my own happiness, especially since I'm going back to Iraq in a few months.

    1. Exercising
    2. Reading (finances, social skills, networking, passion, etc)
    3. Meditation (10 minutes least)
    4. Passion (everyone has one that excites)
Reading gives knowledge to grow on craft
    Meditation gives headspace for creativity
Exercise gives you body and energy to work on passion :)

    * Exercise - it's so important! With all this technology we became lazy, haha
    * Reading - we became addicted to cellphones, computers and tv but although books may be less appealing, they are much more beneficial and even enjoyable
    * Meditation - the modern man find it hard to sit down and "do nothing", but when you practice meditation regularly it changes your life and makes you more healthy, calm and mindful
    * Passion - you live to do what you love, just go with your passion

Nothing wrong with that! You could get involved in making shows, or making games, read up and think about how you can develop your skills. Streamers who know a lot about a particular game and are good at it can be quite successful for example. Or if you're really into a show maybe start by writing blogs! :) I myself love gaming and have been teaching myself programming for many years and am now starting to create my own :) Eventually these can be sources of income, but on the way you are constantly developing! Just make sure to follow the first 3 steps to give you more energy and be able to do more to reach your goals! Good luck! :)

The Nerd you mean shutting down your horizons and being like all these other "life-pros". I like the advice, but I still take most of it with a grain of scepticism. Because I hate elitism. And this up there: good advice mixed with over-the-top elitism. In general these life-improvement boards, channels etc. are built this way. They mix some good advice with outdated elitism. Not that they are wrong, which they are not completely, but they are wrong in the way they present these things. But these are just my 2 cents.

When I started working out 3-4 months ago I didn't have energy for my studies. I'm not sure whether it was because of the exercise (I only lifted weights, no cardio) or because I was recovering from depression because of a misunderstanding, but I did go to the gym for about 2 months not more than twice a week and then had to stop in the beginning of December to really start studying because exams were coming up in mid January. I stopped going to the gym and filled my free time with studying as I work full time so I only have free time before 9 am and 6 pm. I don't know, it was probably just poor time management so I have to try to fix this next semester.

On the same road as you, Just plan out a schedule to balance out exercise, and studying then you should be good. Maybe wake up earlier/start sleeping earlier to plan this out? I suggest training yourself to wake up at 6 A.M. and heading to the gym and then hitting the books after your working periods.

I do all kind of hoppies like first time , i paint ,listen to music ,surve internet to learn new things , studing for more certificates , sleep & body spa i get so excited on vacation that i sometimes do all that at same time selfishly unwilling to waist a second on anything else ,oneself gotta make up for all those boring working hours on the maximum level ,no doupt 😁😀
I even became anti boredom thanks to that.

If I could add a 5th tip though, it would be to write about your experiences. Whether it be the way you felt on a particular day, a dream you had, or perhaps even a passion you wish to pursue (big or small), by writing about it, it makes it not only easier to reflect and grow off your own mental state of mind regarding these things, it focuses you quite similar to meditation with the bonus of manifesting your thoughts in a way that get them out of your head for once. Just a thought :)
