Most people don’t realise how easy it is to form a club and register it with Vicroads. Three mates or three family members is all you need to satisfy the requirements. You keep an Excel spreadsheet of members and vehicle details in case they request any information and that’s it. I’ve done this and have a number of cars and bikes on the maroon plates and it’s all perfectly legitimate.
Great video Max on the old EB Fairmont as you say its a classic now at 30 plus years old we don't see many of them on the roads these days so its good you have it on a club permit. You could leave the paint as is and make a survivor or patina style car but if its bothering you maybe that closed down respray option would be good. Anyway I think its great that another classic Ford is saved and on the roads, thanks again
Some club charge $50 for membership per year and you can have as many car as you want. I have 4 cars on club reg so its $50 for membership plus cost of 45 or 90 days permit each car. Great details mate.
You might just want to restore the badges. You can get new chrome stickers to go on them for a fresh 4.0 But if you do de-badge it, keep the badge. Also, i think you can find the red stick on strip, rather than painting the chrome red. The paint won't last too long on the chrome strip
Sorry I wouldn’t paint it red. I have factory red stripe and moulds for it from a xr6. And yeah a few companies sell re makes of badges. Woudknt be a bad idea at all
Nice car for age, how many km's Hold onto those Turbo blade Rims. I love em. Had them on my ED Cardinal red ED Fairmont. Miss em, an the Velour interior. I now for the last 16 years have had a standard Cardinal red BF2 Fairmont Ghia with rear spoiler an tinted windows. Done 253,000km still drives extremely well for its age.
The BF2 Ghia really stands out on it own tbh. I have the same in Lightning Strike and has done 367K kms. Still drives well and get 9.8l/100kms thanks to the ZF6 speed. I also have the BFXR6T, although it's a weapon but the Ghia is just different. Even the seating position on the Ghia is better & lower than the XR6T
I wouldn't do any exterior mods to that car looks fine just a bit of tidying. Exterior mods will look cheesy. Spend the money on a mic! You sound very muted and distant quite difficult to understand what you are saying at times, because of audio quality. Interesting content though. I thought there was a lot of red tape and fees around driving in the UK. Did you say you can only use the car on 90 days each year on Club Permit? You can't daily then!
Yes. But if you have multiple cars then you can use it as a daily. Also the only exterior mods I’d be doing is wheels I alreayd have and red trim which is a factory colour. But other than that it’s all tidy work. New mic next video :)

AU injectors won't do anything. That red stripe around the car is a terrible idea, it's a Fairmont, not an XR, and so is painting the door handles white. Leave them how they are. They look horrible painted white, its too much white, the black handles breaks up the white. Painting the side mirrors white looks terrible as well.
@@aaronhogan2371 That's called the "Placebo Effect" .💯 They don't do anything. Been there done that nearly 2O years ago. Before this bloke was even alive.
Yep I'm chasing rwc's this week and the quotes are $250, $280, $300. Usually there's another charge for reinspection circa $60 just to check you've fixed an issue.

South Aus club system and rego is the best? What's a roadworthy? Never done one ever at all whatsoever?;) South Oz y'all.
Basically the car has to be in perfect mechanic order. Not even a minor leak

Having done back to back between stock injectors and AU injectors the AU injectors give a much clearer idle.

Fund it and I would happily lmao
Did it still have the red moulds in the boot or did the other guy take them out ?
Nah never came. I bought a set
Is it really $300 for a roady, I'm sure $150 is the going rate.
You can probably find it for 250$ but most places I see down in the suburbs of Melbourne it’s about 300$

So up here it was about $120 in 20 17 my last roady. So three times as much in six years no wonder used car sellers aren't providing roadies.
@@onlyactingup in Vic they changed the process and it's much more, shall I say, *intrusive*.
That was 4 numbers and 2 letters.
Bargain car paint fix easy as non metallic white
I’d say so too. But definitely the cost of paint would be a low standard
