Moved from ATL & GA after 15 years, great place to live, its getting better & there's a lot of hope, but also easy to get burned out, its becoming unaffordable unless you are bringing in good money, its becoming more toxic it feels like at times everyone is trying to become better than the other with the new money coming in.
Besides the City of Atlanta the Suburbs are huge in ATL, All the way up North Metro to East, West & South Metro ATL. Kennesaw, Roswell, Alpharetta, Marietta, Acworth, Smyrna, Sandy Springs, Norcross, Duluth, Liburn, Tucker, Stone Mountain, Decatur, Lithonia, Ellenwood, Doraville etc.. I lived in ATL from 2004-2007 and most of my family lives all around ATL, it is a wonderful city but it fell all the way off now. Not the same as it used to be in the 90's and early 2000's.
This might be silly, but sometimes I look up the map/photos for the mentioned areas in videos. It's the only chance to see these localities. So, thanks.
@Kathy no it's crazy now. I lived right by the winn dixie around 1982 and went to Kingsley elementary school. I drive by there every once in a while. It is definitely different. They tore my old house down.
@@joshm9163 I know what Ben is saying. They did a lot of gentrification throughout Atlanta so a lot of spots that were bad were rebuilt and Atlanta added a lot of new things like the Beltline and Ponce Market. A lot of new construction brought in higher end homes and tore down a lot of the historic areas. With all that being said there isn't to many Atlanta natives in Atlanta. A lot of big business has moved in as well as the film industry so the people are different now. Most of this was before Covid. I live 50 miles north of Atlanta now and I haven't been through there since Covid except on the interstate. It's a great city and I love what Atlanta has become but it's nothing like what it was in the late 90s and early 2000.
Love the video. Definitely agreed and enjoyed the end when he was talking about the dad's. Ima a young dad and noticed more dads in their kids life, than when I was growing and good to know as men we decided that shit wasn't going to be generational
Amen ... and good for you. My thought was a lot of young men have the same mindset you do and that is why they are not playing that bs game no more. Not everybody. But a lot have stepped up. Good job.
My first time in Atlanta was 2014 when I worked for FedEx and I was sent there for training and I can say the city is beautiful and the people there are friendly but it has a darkside just like any other city but it's a Hustling city.
So cool to see you do a video of an area where I worked for a long time..I grew up in metro Atlanta..A lot has changed in the Atlant area and metro Atlanta area sense the late 90s...but this was very cool to see.
What she was talking about at 18:00, this just makes me think the world nowadays is about social media and telling people how cool your life is. That's why people are striving for that nowadays.
Or people just want to break away from the montomy of suburban life? Everything isn't about popularity just because different people want to live different syles of lfe.
You need to come to the suburbs right outside Atlanta (but still technically part of Atlanta). Dunwoody, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Duluth. It's more expensive but thats where a lot of people live as well, and you won't get the full picture without visiting there as well 👍
My parents live north of Atlanta. Always go into ATL for food etc. Next time you're in ATL and you want some good Cuban food, look up Papi's Cuban & Caribbean Grill on Ponce De Leon Ave. Great food. Only thing I hate about Atlanta is the traffic. Don't get stuck in rush hour going to the airport! (Shoulda ended that video right there @22:56, the beginning scene from Walking Dead).

So, thanks.
@Kathy I lived in Doraville in the 80s. It was country then. My friend used to ride up to the house on horseback up Winters Chapel Rd
@Kathy no it's crazy now. I lived right by the winn dixie around 1982 and went to Kingsley elementary school. I drive by there every once in a while. It is definitely different. They tore my old house down.
You mean before the influx of Katrina displaced folks? What could you be saying... 🤔
Good job.
Thank you Peter and Qua for showing Atlanta, and not everything outside of Atlanta that's being called Atlanta.
Great video Peter. I lived in Atlanta for 3 years. Its a very cool city.
Awesome! Thanks, man, I appreciate it.
Hello. Great person, Quay, again to see the city from his point of view. Dude, you are always eating. I'm envious!!! Be safe.
Love him!!! My husband is a cop n we love all these guys !!! Thank you
Crazy this shows up on my RUclips home page, I watch it and I can see directly into my beltline apartment haha. Great vid!
Qua knew so much props
My first time in Atlanta was 2014 when I worked for FedEx and I was sent there for training and I can say the city is beautiful and the people there are friendly but it has a darkside just like any other city but it's a Hustling city.
So cool to see you do a video of an area where I worked for a long time..I grew up in metro Atlanta..A lot has changed in the Atlant area and metro Atlanta area sense the late 90s...but this was very cool to see.
Great documenting by the man Peter shedding light on beautiful people and cities. Thanks for always supporting with the hat Pedro!
Super awesome video! I think a lot was covered in a short span. Great job Qua!
Just one thing to correct the Atlanta Olympics were '96 not '86.
Atlanta native here! Lived here my entire life and this is truly how it is! Great city and great people
QUA would be a great leader. Knows his city and is positive.
He didn’t even know what year Atlanta had the Olympics
The Beltline was empty this day. Weekend is super busy. I love seeing all they types of different dogs. People are very active there.
We used to hang at the old Clermont when the lounge had live bands!❤
This reminds me of traveling. Love walking around talking to the locals.
This was awesome...I live in the area but really enjoyed Kuhway's tour of the city. Gotta try that carribean food truck. Great job Kuhway!
Man, I could listen to Qua talk about Atlanta for hours.
Qua was legit to the core, appreciate his vibe and demeanor. He's spot on with BLM 100
As someone who has been living in Atlanta all their life, you managed to best parts of the city. Qua was one hell of a tour guide and I love his work.
Kuhway Right On.✊ Great Interview Mr. Peter Santanello. 👍
That's a very proud city! I love that!
Luv the video atl is my second home I live a hr and 20 min away in TN and always in atl before I got sick great luv for putting on for the city
Hey I hit the whatsup app earlier today and called you
What she was talking about at 18:00, this just makes me think the world nowadays is about social media and telling people how cool your life is. That's why people are striving for that nowadays.
I am glad you said she. QUA is a woman.
That’s why people of her generation with that mindset are never going to get anywhere in life.
@@BasedinReality1984 yeah. It's an evil mindset.
Or people just want to break away from the montomy of suburban life? Everything isn't about popularity just because different people want to live different syles of lfe.
What a great guide…I love this guy.
Peter, if you didn't actually go to the Clairmont Lounge while in ATL then you didn't experience ATL. lol
You need to come to the suburbs right outside Atlanta (but still technically part of Atlanta). Dunwoody, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Duluth. It's more expensive but thats where a lot of people live as well, and you won't get the full picture without visiting there as well 👍
not technically part of atlanta at all
@@dontgetit23 It's part of the "Atlanta metropolitan area", look it up.
Stole my words gotta get OTP.

Great interview he is a awesome guy🤘🤘🤙🤙🤘🤙🤘🤙🤘🤙
Such a well spoken representative for Atlanta
Much love and respect to peter for this video and also qua very talented artist! Thank you and continue to make video for us subscribers !
Atlanta seems to have such a positive vibe
Really enjoyed the young lady whh owns Little Five Points. She's the only African American who I've seen in any of your videos who explained the situation of the have and have nots BEAUTIFULLY. Absolutely amazing young sister! Thanks for interviewing her!
Have and have nots? Young sister? Lol the black community is so fake with that talk. She ain’t your sister. Those have nots have access to plenty of jobs. They are crying because they can’t get Gucci belts with their minimum wage jobs.
She's awesome for sure. Gentrification is the new Colonialism.
Thanks QUA, was an awesome tour. As an artist on the other side of the world, it was great to see the creatives of Atlanta.
