Seeing this from start to finish was so worth having to constantly mess with the volume to avoid my skin crawling from the sanding sounds. Mulan is in my top three Disney movies and this is just so cool, imperfections and all.
this video is astheticly pleasing and it resulted in a pretty awesome sword. you need a mjolnir in your life, maybe you dont but i just feel like you kinda do.
Hey james, I don't know if you'll wind up seeing this comment or not. But a little tip for getting better luminosity of Sheen for the blade. Is something I learned during my time at the mandalorian mercs, is a nice shiny gloss coat of black on top of the primer before putting down the silver will help the color pop more. Second tip, pertains to the paint choice itself. Spaz stix makes an outstanding rattle can Chrome that you should look into. Best of luck, and your print looked phenomenal!
Oh and despite the slightly high price, I found that particular Gorilla super glue to be extremely good and I buy it exclusively. It also seems to stay fresher, longer, with the little metal pin inside the cap and a good seal. I only ever have issues when the bottle runs low and it gets a little thicc! But even then I can rejuvenate it by refilling the old bottle with some of a new bottle and am usually able to finish off the rest.
Hey James I'm not sure if you'll remember me, I started watching your streams under the Alias of Supersmashycat *superfluffycat07* or something similar. I had a dark time In my life over the start of this year my mental health went down the drain and now i am happy as ever and I think ill be able to watch your streams again :)
Try filler for cars instead of wood filler, and reapply filler after the first sanding ....reapply filler every time is needed hahahahha just let it dry completely
Yeah I definitely needed at least one more application of filler lol. Now I could be mistaken, but I feel like I read somewhere that car filler has a lot of fumes? Never worked with it so I can't say from experience, but I avoided it since I was working in my apartment. Thanks for watching!
James to a spool of filament: "I'll make a sword of out you!"
