No one can question that on-track Ricky is the GOAT. However, there's nothing that guarantees that level of performance in the broadcast booth. Honestly, you have to ask yourself what he's seeing half the time during the race and a lot of his comments aren't super valuable (like explaining cross-rutting for the millionth time). Watch how the MXGP team does announcing- it's vastly more professional in every way.

Well Ricky is terrible as a commentator, James is far superior. Ricky needs to read far more to develop his vocabulary and then maybe but it’s pretty ordinary indeed
