how to grow guava tree faster. Guava trees (Psidium guajava) thrive within U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 9 (with protection) to 11, where they are grown for their fruit. Climate
Guava trees originated in the tropics and require a suitably warm, frost-free climate. They must be protected from colder temperatures because their growth will slow drastically or stop entirely below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. However, ironically, guavas produce fruit most reliably in areas with a defined winter season.
Growing Conditions
Plant guavas in moist soil with southern sun exposure. Avoid lawns or other irrigated areas because the excess moisture may slow their growth or cause premature death. Soil composition is not important for healthy growth, although mildly acidic soil with a pH of between 5 and 7 is best because it will ensure the proper nutrient uptake.

You can use the same technique to grow your favorite tomatoes. Just don't put that much dirt on top. Slice your tomato about 1/4 inch thick, lay it flat, then just barely cover the tomato slice with soil (sand is the preferred soil.) Keep the soil damp until germination. I haven't tried it with cucumber or Asian egg plant but I'm sure it would work. Thanks for sharing.

I have found a slice of guava to be very reliable for starting plants. Raw seeds work also but, not as easy.

Great technique. Generally we separate the seeds from the pulp, dry them and then treat them with some fungicide solution and then sow. But amazingly you have used the direct technique. Awesome. Really nice video with simplest steps, least or limited resources and best outcomes.

What could causes a guava tree to dry up and die within just a few days?
... i have a very nice medium guava tree about 45-40 years old that
have been producing a lot of fuits in past years... but just this past
week, all the leaves on the tree dries up, and when i pruned the thick
branches (about 3-4 inches in diameter) that were especially dry
looking, the wooden braches are very dry as it it has been dried and
dead for a month ... could it have been over fertilized?

Here in my farm in mindanao Philippines, I treat guava as nuisance weeds. It grows everywhere in my farm. But I also take care some of my guava tree because of its strong and stid firm woods and I used it the woods as handle to my tools and etc.
