That's normal. Temperature affects germination and crop growth in general so you get faster results in warmer climates. I live in a warm climate. To get faster results in winter you may have to use a heating pad.
Thankyou for sharing this. I am currently experimenting with red malaysian guava seed. I have been soaking seeds almost 2 weeks as I dont know how old seeds are as imported from.Sri lanka. After soaking I will use wet paper towel method and some direct plant into soil. To see which method works best. Can I ask what temperature were the seeds in containers kept at for germination to take place?

During winter I did this method.... I got the sprouting seeds at day 35-40...whereas in summer I did I got the result in 15 days..

Best of luck! The seeds in the container were kept in the room at room temperature (about 30C since it was in a warm climate)
