I am in Tanzania. In the tropics weather. I have tried this method. It has been very successiful. Though I used garden soil and manure instead of leaf mould to make the dough. It has taken at least 45 days for the roots to form . I thank you so much. Keep up teaching us more of such techniqes.

@@GardeningismyPassion Good morning. Thank you for your videos, I'm in the Bahamas and it has also worked for me with Asian guava and soursop and key lime. Thanks

This video was very helpful, and easy to understand. I needed to know this information to make cuttings from my red Malaysian guava tree. This was a very easy method you showed.😊 Thank you for taking the time to share🤗
Great video. I particularly like the way you just use a mixture of local ingredients for the 'dough' and bits of discarded plastic bag for sealing it in place after removing the cambium layer. I was just about to try to propagate my new Psidium cattleanium by putting cuttings in a misting propagator but your method is so much easier and probably more effective. I love the dough idea for layering. Thanks for posting this.
Hello Dr. Surja. I tried your method and it was a great success. I am in Central Florida. I did air layering on my guava tree on September 20, used mixture of horse manure and garden soil. In 29 days root were well formed. I am very happy! Thank you so much !
Many thanks for the great education you are giving us. There are times my guava airlayering has taken just too long to give roots. What could be the cause?
