    I think this may be the best live version of Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes that I've seen/heard.

    Oh man, I love this so much, the guitar slide at 3:14 and then bit at 3:30 is beautiful, not to forget the drum solo at the end, musical perfection.

    You would think this song would be impossible to perform live, with anything resembling the original power and impact, without Ladysmith Black Mombazo or at least some group taking their place, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but they utterly nailed it and Paul Simon's performance just defies description.

      If you haven't found out yet, it was VIncent Nguini. He was in Paul's band for 30 years and a major part of his band's sound both in recordings and live. He died 5 days ago. Sad day.
