Exactly. Nothing wrong with wanting a cheap saber. But at the point where your about to spend your money on your 5th saber why not get something special, it’s become a monopoly which is never fun
@@thestoneymagnum the one thing about it is yes it brings people into the hobby. Personally I think customizing your hilt is when it get really exciting but companies they sell the cheap ones are usually for like parents trying to get their kids something reasonable but cool. It’s wild to me to think of Al the new comers who don’t know some of the saber legends in our hobby. But we were all there once. Just a different time. I’ve seen a lot in my 8 years in this hobby and it’s wild how spoiled we are now haha.
Yeah these sabers have their place like everyone else I agree, Yeah not enough people talk about companies that they aren’t getting free stuff from, I wanna aim more for sabersmiths on this channel to hopefully help out people to know what’s out there
Totally get what yours saying here, i guess the trouble is people want the movie hilts and dont appreciate a one off design. Then they want that saber like yesterday and wont wait for something unique. I have 30 ish sabers and 5 of them are one offs a few of them are from forcesabers and i love them, plus a unique blaster style saber a friend made for me. He took 9 months but he was making 4 unique hilts at the same time and hes a part time saber smith. I think part of the issue is wait times. I look forward to getting more one off hilts bit it took me 2 years in the community to come to this conclusion. But then the little smiths dissappear which is so sad. But ive seen that Revan will be back so im gonna make sure i grab one of their hilts. Loved this video ❤ and love the Revan staff in this video
My youngest son has a shoto from them, he absolutely loves it. They've got a high place of honor in my collection as well. And I totally get where youre coming from - every now and then I'll grab an LGT if it's one that I really want, but sabers like the Verndari, or the Zero.3 from the Saber Merchant, those add the spice. I'll have to check out the companies you mentioned here and see what they offer.
Stoney, thank you for waking me up to the realisation of this video about the resell game with Lgt or drop shippers as someone who has two Lgt sabers I don’t have a unique saber in my collection so thank you so much for making me realise about the problem and I will definitely support saber smiths whenever I possibly can
I'd rather spend more money on a custom made saber than one of those China sabers. I want something that I know was actually handmade by people who care with an emphasis on quality, and not some sweatshop factory batch of used aluminum.

The 12,278 resellers have hurt some of the smiths in the hobby, for me the next hilt I buy will be the Verndari hopefully this fall👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
