- Who loves hardtail Strats? We sure do - and this excellent 1957 Fender Stratocaster is one of the best out there! A wonderful playing instrument with a snappy tone you won't find in most standard Strats. To demo the guitar we have Aaron Hiebert in the shop, running it through a 1964 Fender Deluxe Reverb! Aaron brought along a special pink Dominion Fuzz for the demo, as he's helping out with "The Pink Guitar Project", which will be part of a raffle! Aaron can literally make anything sound good. man is incredible. But man does he sound especially good on these vintage strats.

Yes. it truly is an amazing guitar but also in the hands of such a masterful player he makes it really sing. if i played that guitar it would sound meh. cause i'm not a great player.
@@thotheface I’ve played a few vintage strats that sounded and played awful. 60 year old hunk of wood with 60 year old electronics isn’t always what you think…

Great axe and great playing. And great as usual, the photography! Couldn't help but giggle though, over the shot with the vibrato handle gear shift sticking up! Woops! Love it!! 🙂

My dream Strat would be a 59/60 slab hardtail.
Mine too. I think the '57 is the Grail for the hardtail.
Laying is superb Aaron. lovely DR too. Convincing, but... a Strat just has to have a wang bar for me and, the Tele does it's fixed bridge thing.

They're not affordable anymore. Hardtail Srrat prices are going through the roof.
