- Louisville police are releasing additional video footage of pro golfer Scottie Scheffler’s arrest outside last week’s PGA Championship.
The Louisville Metro Police Department said at a news conference Thursday morning that video footage from two different cameras - a pole camera and a police car dash cam - will be released shortly.
However, Police Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel said Det. Bryan Gillis, the arresting officer, did not have his body camera activated when directing traffic outside the golf course, meaning there is no footage of the “initial interaction” between the officer and Scheffler.
Scheffler, a Masters champion and the world’s No. 1 golfer, was arrested last Friday while on the way to the PGA Championship in Maryland, after he failed to follow police orders during an investigation into a pedestrian fatality.

Drop the charges now. I am embarrassed for Louisville. The mayor obviously wants this to go away.
No this is good for America to see how police do wrong and than double down and try to cover it up and try to convince the judge and public they were in the the right. Hopefully this will open alot of eyes and put pressure on police to follow laws and policies. But likely police will never be transparent with the public.
The cop needs more than suspended or fired.
He tried to ruin someone’s life.
His needs to be taken from him.
Same for the other one who smiled while saying “there’s nothing that you can do”
The PGA should drop out of Louisville forever. $$$$ will be a lesson that people will remember
No body camera. So cops will rally to condemn Scheffler. They have had plenty of time to get their story uniform. Did Scheffler have a vehicle dash camera?
Watched one of the videos and the officer was never dragged. He threw his body into Scottie's vehicle.
Yep, I saw that.
@@gabrielle-d1bit turns out that the cop lied and his fellow gang members helped cover up for him...shameless!
The police department and mayor have made a public declaration that they are corrupt. The PGA should announce that they will not use that golf course again in order to protect. their golfers.
$$ talks and the citizens will enact their revenge on the mayor and police when they lose millions
I watch the news conference live. Doesn't sound to me like they are being transparent at all. Claimed one of the 2 videos they will release was from a mounted permanent camera, yet according to them it only recorded part of the incident. Doesn't sound very transparent at all. Sounds like they are releasing just the parts they want viewed. Also it appears that a officer is telling someone to stop recording as well. There is no audio so unknown what's being said.
Doesn’t sound like transparency to me, unless you have video of how it started. And now the county attorney is not allowing footage. Only the two camera from the actual arrest. This is not transparency
No body cams footage no case
Vehicle is stopped and We don't see any police being drugged on the road and this is only video he was pulled out of the vehicle. IN SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER LOOKS LIKE A COURT HAS TO DISMISSAL OF ALL CHARGES.
Global News, This is perfect! I subscribed right away!
Thanks for transparency!
Instances like this have happened in China 🇨🇳 so many times but were never reported.
It’s not transparency. The police are trying to cover up their screw up instead of admitting they screwed up.
Cop was probably on a my authoritah trip and hurt himself.
Why did my comment disappear? I say boycott Louisville forever. If my comment disappears again I say boycott RUclips forever.
