My friends mom spent her entire retirement, over $200,000.00 buying coins for her grandkids to inherit. After she passed they found out she had (1) gold coin that may have been worth $200. the house was full of state quarters, plated coins from Liberia, cancelled stock certificates, and more. It was criminal what these people did to this poor woman. They literally robbed her.

Man I've been there. I had a grandmother of a guy I played football with in high school come in my store to cash in her coin collection to fund a vacation. Her collection was very well organized and she had a receipt for every piece, sadly it was all Littleton and HSN sets that no matter what way I figured it was only worth $500 or so. Most of the stuff I just told her to keep since it was only worth face value. I felt horrible when I seen the look on her face, after she left I went through the receipts and found that she had spend over $5000.00 on what amounted to be worth about $600 to $650 retail. She had a case of gold plated buffalo nickels with no dates or partial dates that they charged her $5.00 to $10 each on and a state quarter album that cost her $75, even had her name on it that was worth about $10 in change. It really made me sick to my stomach to see how badly they ripped her off and made her feel that she was making a investment into her future, man you should have seen some of the advertisements they sent her "once in a lifetime opportunity!!!!" Absolutely criminal!
Take notice how HSN never takes phone calls during its coin shows. Could it be to prevent someone offering a reality check about the over-priced coins being sold?
The only time is when that salesmen guy isn't in the studio. He'll "call in" Mike Mezak is his name. His business (or however it's organized) is the largest wholesale buyer of MODERN coins. The auction people know him (not me). EDIT: Also linked to paying people to wait in line physically (or order from the web or phone) for limited releases.
@Zach Joyce I'm with you. I'll watch out of interest but that interests doesn't last very long when they have 4 different presentations of ASE ("emergency", "first strike", "last of they type one, etc...). He will get the sold out stuff somehow but charge about 2-3 over eBay. I would love to read their complaint letters.
They're trying to sell to the noncollector, elderly that want to leave the grand kids something. It is a joke! Totally agree with you. Do the homework folks. Thanks Daniel
You don't have to be elderly to be ignorant -- lacking knowledge in something, as everyone is ignorant in many respects; stupidity is completely different. Yes, absolutely Home Shopping Network and others sell to the novice new coin collectors and charge extremely high prices. There's a lot of overhead (costs) in television shopping. As always Daniel, excellent information for the much less informed. Education (knowledge) is the key to success in all aspects of life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
knowledge is power, and you my friend are a powerful educator for the common coin collector. thank you for your insight and honest approach to coin buying and collecting.
A former co-worker "invested" in coins from HSN. When he told me what he got and what he paid, I urged him to return them while he could. What a rip-off.
At first you had my curiosity, now you have my attention!!! 😳🤔😂 I’m glad I watched this video before purchasing some of those coins, which I almost did. Instead, I decided to get a few from the Mint and slowly learn about coin collecting first, before making big purchases like they were selling on TV. Whew, thank goodness. Thank you sir.
@@monkeyman4131Thanks. I’ll try and find some books on coin grading. So far I’m still having fun especially watching coin videos. One word I learned is Caution and to this day it’s been an invaluable advice to heed for coins and lots of other situations. 🫡
🤣 Just stumbled across this video. My daughter and I watch these HSN infomercials for the pure entertainment. I love the ones where they are selling say 100 coins and “just these 3 coins alone sell for price we are charging” that’s 97 coins for free. My daughter and I often comment “how do these people stay in business?” Giving away all those coins. 🤣
I bought this EXACT set for my daughter on eBay to show her the difference between clad cheap gimmicks and real silver last Christmas-got it on e-bay for $21 on Auction complete-then I bought a set of S Silver 70 NGC Cert coins in a case for $200 bucks-we took them to my local coin shop -guy offered me $250 for mine( more then fair for the 1999-2009 set) and didn’t even want hers--I didn’t sell them cause I really only wanted the fractional silver right now -but I DID buy her her first Silver Eagle-she GETS it now!! I HATE those predatory commercials too!!
I've been a collector for 50 years, and I've always despised these ripoff sales gimmicks to rip people off that don't have a clue. They prey on impulsive new collectors. Glad you made the video Daniel
"Gold plated" is also a gimmick... because the actual gold content is so small, it's not even worth mentioning. The layer of gold is extremely fine on top, almost to be ignored. The total gold content in all these plated coins together won't even fill a 1/10th ounce gold coin.
When I first started collecting coins, I got ripped of by HSN for 2 Peace Dollars and 2 graded Walking Liberty silver dollars.. The Peace dollars were supposed to CH BU, NOT. The Graded Libertys I think were re-packaged. Can they do that? The MS69 has 3 scratches and a flat spot on the rim like it was dropped. Live & learn. At least they are not gold plated :-)
We have companies here in the UK selling 'coins' and 'limited edition' collectors coins etc etc (that aren't legally coins and are supposed to be labelled as medallion's) and they are marketed at older people who possibly buy them thinking they are investing in something valuable to leave to their kids/grandkids. They are worth fuck all. Nothing. Zilch. NADA. They prey on old vulnerable people, they sell them under company names such as 'Windsor mint' or 'Royal Elizabeth mint' and similar official sounding names (the official maker of UK currency is the Royal mint so they are all variations on that theme) they deliberately use official sounding names to trick people in to believing that they are getting official limited edition currency that is worth buying and indicate the value will only go higher and higher. It's a bullshit practice. It should be illegal. It's a con. It's like snake oil. My father passed away thinking he had done something good with his savings to leave to his 7 kids and 50+ grandkids and 100+ great grandkids by buying this worthless shite infested tat. £1000s upon £1000s spent on shit. We would rather he had given it to charity than waste his money and his last few years on earth being conned. I would donate them to charity but they aren't even worth the scrap value to recycle them. They literally go for pennies on eBay. Limited edition my arse. There are millions of the cunts on eBay! One of the 'coins' my father bought for £300+ from one of these companies, there are currently over 3000 for sale on eBay, some going for 50p, some on buy it now for £2.50. but nobody is even buying them for that price. Those companies should be ashamed and I hope the fuckers that own the companies all die from cancer of the arsehole. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.
M.B. I believe that a "coin" can only be called a coin if two conditions are met. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think 1. It has to be struck by a national mint. US Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, etc. and 2. It has to have a denomination. A silver eagle is a coin because it is struck by the US Mint and has a denomination of $1.
@@Cybrsk8r It has to have a denomination; if it isnt sanctioned then it is considered couterfeiting. Many of the smaller countries outsource their coin mintage to other countries' official mints.
Well regardless fellas, the only thing Mr. Brown's dad got out of the deal was a Royal screwing. He knows the specifics between bouillon, medallion, and coin are irrelevant now and his family was left with junk that is father thought would be great family heirloom. And believe me, we have the same type of chickenshit con artists here in the States... Peace, fellas
Thanks for reinforcing my belief that the tv coin sales people are so obviously conning people into buying coins I would buy only from a reputable dealer for a more accurate price. There must be 5-6 of these stations on cable and people unfortunately fall for it. Sad. Hurts the industry. Thanks Daniel. Great information as always.
I was struggling to breathe after seeing those quarters, my wife almost called 911 I was gasping so badly. And the box, can you believe it? That's a selling point in itself.
I have family members who purposely play HSN coin displays when I'm around and I react the exact same way you do! I start yelling out the prices of the coins in the other room, and they are selling them for 10 or 20 times their worth. It is ridiculous.
No one wants to piss their money away if they're going to buy a set of gold plated quarters for $200 they're only doing it because they think they're buying legitimate coins they don't know any better
Great video, this is why I always tell my family or frinds free shipping doesn't mean free shipping... It just means we will charge you something else.
Thanks for ALL of your very informative videos and knowledge. I got bit once when I 1st started collecting, HSN is a joke! Bit once, NEVER AGAIN by HSN. Keep your honesty and dignity, WE TRULY APPRECIATE YOU! Have a great day Sir.
my man you are awsome its people like you that changed my life im a successful dealer because of YOU COIN OPP BLUE RIDGE SILVER HOUND COUCH COLLECTABLES ILOVE YOURE CHANNEL THANKYOU NOW IM OBSESSED AND HAVE LEARNED SO FREAKN MUCH I NOW HAVE A POTIENTIAL CARREER THANKU LOVE YA MAN !!!! ITS awsome people like you take the time out of youre day and help new and long time collectors i found that the more ya learn and know about coins especially errors and what to look for the more you make and its so much fun just thanku man yu are one of the people that changed my life!!!
I felt so bad when my mother bought me a 1 ounce bar of gold from the internet for $30 dollars, and I pointed my magnet towards it and it leaped from the desk to my hand, it was 24k gold plated, then I explained to her that an ounce of gold could be applied so thin that you could cover a football field, I respectfully told her to not buy me any coins or bars.
They sell the hope of owning something valuable. They take advantage of old men and women who want to leave more than a check. Hopefully something thats gained in value. Never knowing They are getting duped. New stackers and collectors aee scared away when they spend a thousand dollars on this stuff and then see it all for 250 when they learn more. The 1st thing i do EVERY time i see a coin or round for sale is pull uo my phone and look it up
Honestly Nate basically, nobody is buying Thomas Kinkade collector plates anymore so they have to bilk people elsewhere. I am tempted to try an experiment on eBay or another platform and paint two rocks and label one flat out honest and then do a “collector” one in a box just to see how gullible people are for the scare tactics (“THIS LIMITED EDITION IS ALMOST SOLD OUT AND WILL NEVER BE OFFERED AGAIN!”) and snob appeal (“Your friends will gasp at this rock in its piano finish box!”).
You are spot on in your assessment of HSN coins. You love to see your take on the brother act I refer to as Bevis & Butthead on the coin vault. They are constantly hyping coins from a country the size of a postage stamp for a premium. For everything else the reference Littleton’s catalog prices more than anyone. You will never recover your investment in 80+ present of what they sell.
The other thing you never want to buy are those commemorative coins you see advertised. They are almost certainly worthless. I remember one ad in particular which trumpeted that it was plated in 14mg of 24K gold. I did the math, and 14mg of 24K gold is worth about 58 cents.
Thank you. I know this is an older video but I can tell you how many times I have seen HSN scan people with these coin "deals". I 100% agree the boxes are trash. Fact is when you send in coins to get graded, most collectors don't even both getting them sent back.
I watched a QVC info sell once. I wanted to puke at what they selling. Like you said "Snake Oil, Packaged B.S., bad stuff !" Glad you posted this. Keep up the honest work. Maybe we should call you the 20/20 of coin collecting.....LOL :-)
Tried buying a 2020-P Emergency Silver Eagle off of HSN...but for some rule or law not allowed to ship or sale to Minnesota residents..dodged a bullet there.. lol..
I listen to your explanation you are exactly correct the coins is you are selling not the box or packaging important is the coins not the junk. I love it
I've been collecting coins for over 50 years so my friends always come to me to look at "grandma's coins" asking how much they are worth. Usually they aren't worth very much. But one thing I always tell people who will listen is do not buy plated coins or most coins sold on HSN or any of the other hucksters out there. If you are serious about collecting/investing in coins go to a reputable dealer.
Another thing the younger generation needs to do is to actually spend time with their parents, grandparents etc. and make sure they're staying on the right financial path. I have a family member whose grandma died recently. Grandma was somewhat wealthy. She inherited grandpa's wealth etc. Well it turns out the kids/other family member were not making sure grandma was using the wealth wisely. Turns out when she died the kids and other family members started going through her stuff. Turns out grandma spent the vast majority of her wealth on buying jewelry on HSN and in the later part of her life, she was purely living on social security. No money in the bank. It was estimated she spent around 300-500k on jewelry on HSN and most of it was appraised as basically "junk". So when grandma died each of the kids and family members basically got several boxes full of jewelry that was basically junk. Another thing you want to make sure is that grandma/grandpa don't get involved with gambling. If your grandpa/grandma/parents are into this stuff then you'll most likely end up inheriting nothing.
DEAR Daniel. Thank you. I am still cracking up...especially bout the part when people visit you and you KEEP THEM ON THE piano. I play classical music.... i'd be ashamed Beethoven,Bach,or Mozart would be angry at i ? I LOVE TO SEE YOU LAUGH. YOU MADE MY WEEK 💕🐈🐈🐆🐆🐃
When they put the definite article "the" in front of "24k gold-plated" they imply strongly that the quarters are plated by the mint. Both of those on-air people probably believe they were. I've collected coins by year from change since I was a kid. I learned all about coin collecting as a kid. And how long ago was I a kid? I actually extracted a 1909 VDB (not S) Lincoln from change and a 1916-D Mercury from change. Exciting times, those. Never dug the state quarters myself.
I collect some US coins and paper money, but most of my collection is ancient coins. I remember a company that might still be in existence that would issue a color catalog of "valuable" ancient coins, and I could see right off that the coins they were selling for big bucks were the coins I could get at a dealer's $5 or $10 "pick'em" box at the shows, with some fancy packaging. I wonder if these HSN sellers are a division of "Glitzco Packaging". :)
Funny, It was about time someone called them out for what they are a “JOKE"! Great Video it was light and funny to watch. I’m still gasping for air, over the now damaged coins with the 24k plating. WOW
Thank you for your honest opinion and advised. I love to have such coins collection, but they are expensive. can’t afford..Thanks for this nice info. Have a great day Daniel!
She also said clad in 24kt gold. They plated not clad. If they where clad, there would be no details on the coins seeing as the clading took place after already struck coins.
I absolutely love your Videos! Very informative, and You are as Honest as the day is long!! I admire your integrity. Thank You for sharing and taking time to do so ♡
7:55 I know this is an old vid, but I give you huge credit for not making a trailer park joke here. I don't think I could have resisted. HSN are lower than used car dealers.
Man, you had me gasping !! I just started watch your videos, at least 3 a night ! In 2011 I purchased 2 MS70 Silver Eagles, first Strike, that came with a red oak presentation box, and 2 certificates for free grading of 8 coins ! One of the coins had marking, or burned spot on the edge at the 2:00 area ! Horrible looking !! I also bought 12 BU Morgan Silver Dollars for $59.99 each !! These coins were Uncirculated, but the bag marks were all over the place, sad looking ! I've never bought those Gimmick items, and also laugh at that same woman, as she plays up the coins to the viewers !! I purchased twice from Mike Meizack, and got hosed twice !! Thanks for displaying your knowledge in the videos, and also thanks the the entertainment !! 🔥
You Sir, (Daniel) are not only a Patriot, but You are a GREAT AMERICAN!.....As it is Videos Like THIS that can save somebody New or Naive to the Hobby from UTTERLY BEING RIPPED OFF BY THESE LATE NIGHT CHARLATANS! Who claim to be doing the consumer "A Favor!" When in truth, they are indeed doing Numismatic Tomfoolery!!😱😔😮😱 Again, thank you Sean.
Glad you're making these videos. These clowns are hurting the hobby. We all know someone who lost money with these scams. Make more and inform the public.
This is why I enjoy your Channel you true facts to the point on the money know if buts about it. I'm not going to lie I'm a huge huge fan of the Home Shopping Network never as seen on TV QBC products I'm a terrible sleeper so they entertain me. I have never bought jewelry coins. But I have purchased and we'll keep buying the random gadgets that they sell out there. knives that could cut through cans. A flashlight when you add batteries it lights up. a dish sponge add soap and water scrub and look out they are clean lol I have so much of this stuff Thank you again for the real facts and the true knowledge
Great Video!!! Funny I just for Fun bought a Gold plated 50 States Quarter set for $25.00 And the guy had a lot at his table but no real collector were buying... I bought it for a friend Who Loved it... Thanks for Showing this... HSN QVC Heck most TV coin shows are hit or miss and if you don't understand i tell them to just not buy it...
Would you know where you can get some of the display cases/boxes empty second hand? trying different terms on ebay turns up mixed results, but I'd assume there has to be someplace that flips them on the cheap instead of throwing them all in the trash right? I'd like to put a couple sets in them cause they are kind of cool.
I saw the other day on hsn they had 6 Morgan dollars for 2,000 dollars. They said they were rare some had 8 feathers some had 7 feathers and one had 7 over 8. Where did they get these coins?
Thanks for posting this. I've come across the home shopping channels selling these and similar "collector" coins from time to time and I often stop in for a few minutes and shake my head. It's really sad and deceptive how they take advantage of people who don't know any better. I wish people would take the time to be educated and invest in REAL valuable coins.
I love ya to pieces .Love this video. Daniel..may i ask you about that 1982 rare penny .Are they not all 3 grams? Saw one for 1250.00 on internet. Is that penny just the normal weight of all our 1982 pennys? I am gasping over that. Cause i just thunk thats what they weighed.Keep smiling. And remember the PEOPLE are buying the box.You are a hoot!💕
Some are 2.5 grams and some are 3 grams area but the 82 D Small date is the one that shouldn't only weigh 2.5grams but two of them found on 3.1 planchets.
You might want to add "The Coin Vault-live stream". They sell a lot of stuff I would consider "junk". As a matter of happy circumstance, I bought from APMEX full set of BU Franklin halves in the Dansco album for $729.00. Same deal on the live stream $999.99. Don't even know if APMEX was the best deal but checking out their prices for this and that, I am very happy.
The Rare Collectables TV is horrible too. I caught one of their infomercials on a silver eagle ms69 set and they had it priced double what you should be able to buy it at.
Yeah... this is why I don't save those stickered coins unless the stickers themselves are unbroken. Run into a few doing roll hunting, and I've talked about them before as being worth 50¢ (since they're on half dollars), and only being saved for the novelty value.
I posted a picture in one group last week of the HSN selling 2 common date silver Eagles PCGS MS69 "First Strike" for $25 more than what PCGS has them listed for on the Coinfacts app, plus $8 shipping. I cant laugh at them. I start getting upset and have to take a blood pressure pill. Lol
I agree. I usually throw a pillow at the TV. lol Don't people understand Eagles are just silver? Doesn't matter if its first strike or eighth strike, MS69 or MS70, its worth about $15 today.
Yeah. I think stabbing bullion is way over kill and most people think the First Strike label is something great. It only means it was received and graded with the first month of issue.
South Park, of all shows, took on this in 2012, if you want to see their take on this look for "Stan calls shopping network south park" it's south park so it's crude, but it's about pretty accurate on it.
CoinOpp is nothing like HSN. People bid what they want and the coins are not hyped. Robert will answer any question live and doesn't prey on the home-bound elderly with a credit card.
Kyle Haze I never bought up anyone’s name. Coin opp & Robert Lawson & Daniel Malone are Friends of mine. If you have a beef with me your welcome to contact me on my channel
An old saying "Buyer Beware" applies here. Melt value of dollar coins is under a nickel and tho I'm saving a few there's currently no big collecting demand for these. Cleaned too ! Wow just wow
You reaction to that horse sh*# is what I find most entertaining! I hope one of them see this video and wind up feeling like complete asses! Good of you to share this considering there are more and more newbies joining in!

Oh ,true so true if they sols all the coins in MINT SETS each one , why not make the BIG BUCKS eh .
I used to watch "Coin Vault" early in this decade just for entertainment. I wondered who actually bought their stuff.
@Zach Joyce I figure the "bubbas" who stay up late and have already had a few beers.
"Gold plated" is also a gimmick... because the actual gold content is so small, it's not even worth mentioning. The layer of gold is extremely fine on top, almost to be ignored. The total gold content in all these plated coins together won't even fill a 1/10th ounce gold coin.
Indeed. Nowadays they can gold plate at a thickness of 1 micron. There's more gold in a bottle of Goldschläger than there was in that entire coin set.
Right on man .
THIS VIDEO MADE ME LAUGH SO MANY TIMES,. I AM GLAD YOU MADE IT. LAUGHING IS GREAT FOR THE SOUL,,,THANKS
When I first started collecting coins, I got ripped of by HSN for 2 Peace Dollars and 2 graded Walking Liberty
silver dollars.. The Peace dollars were supposed to CH BU, NOT. The Graded Libertys I think were re-packaged.
Can they do that? The MS69 has 3 scratches and a flat spot on the rim like it was dropped. Live & learn.
At least they are not gold plated :-)
Yer so right . NGC graded coins are a sure bet , tho a bit more in the long run so much better .
@@brumels1570 Yea, I've seen bullion coins from Somalia and Chad as well as a few others. I think the "Somali" coins are minted in Germany.
I hope my kids and grandkids like junk silver coins, not pretty, but worth something.
I yell at the TV when I see this kind of crap. It's so bad for the hobby. Thank you for educating people and making this video.😀
You have some good videos, not up to date with coins form over the pond yet.
@@golddiggerdave Thanks. New Sub to your channel here. 😀
@@Ontario100 Much appreciated, I'm looking at getting some coins from over the pond. Cheers
@@golddiggerdave Pre 1933 gold is always nice. 😀 Best of luck.

I didn't finish. By just watching you all I got a lot of good info and developed a trust in you. T. U again keep on the great work!
But the box! LOL!
I have family members who purposely play HSN coin displays when I'm around and I react the exact same way you do! I start yelling out the prices of the coins in the other room, and they are selling them for 10 or 20 times their worth. It is ridiculous.
Every time I hear gold plated I hear damage 😆
Who buys this nonsense 😂
old people like my grandpa before he died. he had a bunch of gold plated state quarters. No s proof silver quarters, just a bunch of junk
@@tylerdurden8939 you could make coin rings out of them then they are worth a lot more
The same goes for painted coins. I didn't buy the state quarters as there were going to be so many of them.
No one wants to piss their money away if they're going to buy a set of gold plated quarters for $200 they're only doing it because they think they're buying legitimate coins they don't know any better
@@casewhite5048 no you cannot because when you try to anneal the coin, that flimsy plating of gold is going to separate.
I ordered bills years ago from a shopping channell i could not return them fast enough they actually had photos of bills in a frame

Well said amen brother
Sounds good, where can I buy those boxes?
You EARNED the VIDEO OF THE YEAR AWARD! I LOVE HUMOR IN THE WAY YOU TEACH US❤
I've found the same things on the big E 2000.00 to 10,000.00 for a large date 1982. Thank you this is a must watch for us beginners.
1 time, 1 time...I fell for somthing they were selling,I was tired and they caught me off gaurd.never again. Thank you for showing this.
You're welcome
I watched a QVC info sell once. I wanted to puke at what they selling. Like you said "Snake Oil, Packaged B.S., bad stuff !" Glad you posted this. Keep up the honest work. Maybe we should call you the 20/20 of coin collecting.....LOL :-)
Tried buying a 2020-P Emergency Silver Eagle off of HSN...but for some rule or law not allowed to ship or sale to Minnesota residents..dodged a bullet there.. lol..
Thanks for the critique Daniel. I like that you're blatantly honest.
So glad someone out there are uncovering these clowns that rob innocent people and destroy our hobby Thanks Daniel you are the best
Do you know anyway the plating can be removed so the queens have more value?
No, they're damaged now
This is the video that sold me on you!THANK YOU ❤
I collect some US coins and paper money, but most of my collection is ancient coins.
Your reaction to the HSN hosts is worth $79.95! 🤣😂. Appreciate and enjoy your channel.
She also said clad in 24kt gold. They plated not clad. If they where clad, there would be no details on the coins seeing as the clading took place after already struck coins.
Good point
.9999 24k gold plated
with 2mg of pure gold
This is the channel for insight...great job sir.

I’m just like 25 to 30 bucks for a penny and the W quarters are going for 40 bucks
Thanks for sharing
Great video, great humor, love your crutiques please do more LOL. Love the boots comment. We are knee deep with the packaging lol.

I'm glad you showed this. Cause my son almost bought me a set from hsn. Now I'm sure he'll make a better decision

Not clowns...... charlatans, or better yet Snake-oil salesman
But I have purchased and we'll keep buying the random gadgets that they
sell out there. knives that could cut through cans. A flashlight when you add batteries it lights up. a dish sponge add soap and water scrub and look out they are clean lol I have so much of this stuff
Thank you again for the real facts and the true knowledge
No, sorry
Thank You Daniel. I won't mess with this show again. I will have to let someone tell me what my coins are worth.
"Homer, please don't buy coins from HSN"
"But Marge, it's limited edition. And RED OAK!"
Thank you for posting this video. People need to know they’re getting ripped off!
I saw the other day on hsn they had 6 Morgan dollars for 2,000 dollars. They said they were rare some had 8 feathers some had 7 feathers and one had 7 over 8. Where did they get these coins?
Morgan dollars do have different tail feather designs and modifications but would need to be high mint state grades to be worth that.
You're welcome
Hi Daniel. I'm a new sub. Love your advice. I'm binge watching your channel at the mo.

I kinda want it.... 😢
Absolutely Spoken Like The True Professional You Are..Once Again Your Honesty Is Definitely Appreciated Thank You..
what about the mint issued packaging? that has some value doesn't it? If your just collecting and not collecting graded?
Yeah... this is why I don't save those stickered coins unless the stickers themselves are unbroken. Run into a few doing roll hunting, and I've talked about them before as being worth 50¢ (since they're on half dollars), and only being saved for the novelty value.
Was hoping you do a segment on this subject.I watch it for comedic value but the ridiculous prices and info are insane.
How come you have those boxes ???
I own a coin shop and people bring them in or other dealers sell them to us at shows.
South Park, of all shows, took on this in 2012, if you want to see their take on this look for "Stan calls shopping network south park" it's south park so it's crude, but it's about pretty accurate on it.
Yes, I did watch that before.
