This video was originally published on October 15, 2009 & was never added to RUclips...until today!
Original post on our site with additional information, plans, questions & comments: www.thewoodwhisperer.com/video...
A brief introduction to the world of flush trim bits. Flush trim bits come in all shapes and sizes, but they all share the same basic anatomy. After watching this video, you'll have a much better idea of which ones to buy and when to use them. I also do a quick demo using a pattern bit (a variation of the flush trim bit).
This video accompanies an article what was published in Popular Woodworking Magazine called "Get the Most From Your Router". thewoodwhisperer.com/files/get...
And if you are interested in that big fat pattern bit, you can get those in William Ng's Store: wnwoodworkingschool.com/shop/i...

Pleasant speaking voice, clear wording, no vocalized pauses, good video editing. Nicely done. Very watchable.

Was watching your videos a decade ago. Retired and have a huge workshop with a hammer c331 table saw and festool. Have no talent what so ever but loved watching your tips and tricks. Looking forward to reading learning my tools and starting some new projects. My domino has me stumped it’s over 10 years old but never used. It is difficult to line up the joints have you done a video with domino not lining up making window boxes and they are all screwed. I bought the festool marker which attached to the domino but looks useless to me.

Thanks I was struggling to use a router to remove a lot of material from a big recessed area in a bench but now I will use the router for the edges and finishing the bottom only, and try to remove the bulk of material with a drill and forstner bit

I do acrylic work and use flush trim bits often. About once of twice every couple years I use a the bottom bearing router bit. Top bearing flush trim bits also come in 3 flute. Surprised that was not mentioned. The more flutes you have the cleaner cut your project will have.
