Just this past year I met an elderly woman. Her name is Ann. She was a member of my church, but due to problems with her memory was put in a nursing home. I spent hours a week visiting her. I never had a grandmother in my life, so it was so nice to have her there. I could tell her anything, and I did. She had so much wisdom. So much kindness. She encouraged me in everything and accepted me for who I am. And, when she found out I drew, being an artist herself, she encouraged me to go for my dreams. As did another lady in the nursing home who was an amazing painter. I'm where I am today in art because of them, and also you Valerie. God put so many wonderful people in my life so that I can be who I am today. I'm thankful for that.
17 year old Quebec girl here and I just have to say: wow! Your views and ideology have always inspired me, whether it be about art styles, supplies or even body image. I love that you speak of making the best out of what you have, not wasting opportunities and accepting people for who they are. You are an incredible artist and an even better person. Thank you for everything you say/do!
Your such a sweet girl! And so talented. I'm 51 and I love your videos. I've learned so much from you. I'm going for my bachelors in art studio, but you make things easy and fun! I struggle because I'm vision impaired you videos help me because I can watch as close as I want. Also, as long and as many times as I want, that's vert helpful. I got a late start in college because life got in the way, but I want to learn art so much! Thanks for your contribution and encouragement!
