Love Chris’s Pollard Throws a No Hitter shirt, so cool
Commonwealth is a fantastic album. Sloan stopped by Mavericks in Ottawa to tour it in November 2014 and I vividly recall Chris being extremely gracious with fans after the show, chatting and posing for photos with us. The two of us had a quick exchange where I mentioned to him that "I play a little guitar", to which he responded, without wavering "Yeah, me too". I still recount this story to friends and family, going down as one of my favourite interactions with what I would consider a larger than life figure in rock, yet someone so down to earth and humble. Much respect to these guys.
Love 'Commonwealth' as well and never thought the 17+ minute song "48 Potraits" would be my favorite thing on it.
Chris and Jay are both amazing to talk to after a concert, especially if it is a small US concert where only 50 people show up.
Love Chris's shirt
This band is everything to me.
People of the sky is aces!
5:40 I like how all both of their heads pop up, like this is different.
They must hate that version of "The Other Man." Jay said something out of microphone range - I'll guess it was "WTF?"
Great band. Thank you
Been a fan of this band since 1996 love these guys great interview
Saw them at Varsity Arena in Toronto in 96/97, and most recently in Brampton in 2019. Great then, great now. To borrow from SCTV, they are Four Neat Guys.
Love the Robert Pollard shirt on Chris
So Great to get to "know" this guys a little more...I wish I had been a "fan" much earlier in my life but I know I will be the "Rest of My Life"
We love Sloan and it still blasts when Alexa is being good. Holiday Greetings from Bedford, Nova Scotia
Hi Tom...love you, man
I have been a Sloan fan since 1992.
I finally got to finally see them in concert tonight. I'm still on cloud 9
That was a great interview. I was hoping they might talk about a 20th anniversary reissue of Navy Blues but no such luck. Keep rockin Sloan!
Cats of Sherman and they’re touring the album in its entirety! (But you probably know this by now)
can wait to see sloan this friday in Kingston!!
Under appreciated Sloan is like The Who/The Beatles/The Rolling Stones except newer and Canadian, like seriousy the drummer is Kieth Moon
....with a little Bun E Carlos thrown in around the edges
"The rapper, Drapes"?
Comedy gold
That was a nice chill.
I discovered this band around 1996, sort of before the Internet. It was like a well kept treasure. I don't know how many people knew about Sloan in Switzerland at that time. Got every records since and still think it's one of the great bands around. Can't wait to hear Steady, their 13th studio album coming out at the end of this week.
I'm late to the party. The cool indie station in Oklahoma City just put their new song on their weekly playlist lol. Could you recommend 2 or 3 songs that have that rock vibe like "if it feels good do it" and "money city maniacs"? I've listened to 3 or 4 of their songs about 20 times each the last several days. :)
@@ascendant95 Sounds like you’re a Patrick Pentland fan.
sloanの日本ツアーは全て見に行きました。トロントでも1度だけ見に行きました。懐かしい思い出です。いつかまた会いたいな
Band has my name
It’s funny, because Andrew was describing Patrick songs at 18 minutes as the ones that make it on the radio and; right when this video began, I was thinking about how Patrick has it, the best rock/radio voice of the band
Coax me. hands down.
I am home.
Of course Chris is wearing a GBV shirt.
"If It Feels Good Do It"? "Money City Maniacs"? None of these songs they chose have a jumpkick in the videos lol.
Navy blue between the bridges the one they put out in 2003 and never hear the end of it are the best albums they have not put out a really good album since there newer one is the best they don't in years but not on par with their early classics imho
Such an underrated band. The Canadian cheap trick
"The Rapper Drapes"?
Underwhelmed
I want to give them all forty sandwiches. They look so underfed.
Unsubscribe did by istake
The Good in Everyone, Money City Maniacs, The Rest of My Life and nothing else
The old guy in the zep hat looks ridiculous
The breadth of his talent is also ridiculous.
Out of the four of them, he's the one you call old?
