Does it turn on and automatically connect while being charged from a power source in the car or staring the car?
Ideally, it should turn on and auto connect when you turn on your car as long as your device is still connected to the AirFly via bluetooth. But if it's been disconnected from bluetooth then you'll have to reconnect it. Hope this answers your question.
Does it work on emirates planes? I don’t know if they have single aux hole

An update, mind worked on the Emirates flight. I bought the adapter with it but then i actually forgot in the checked in luggage but it worked without it and i used my jbl headphones. Loved that i had a a flight with no wires

How many devices can it connect to? Is it easy to switch between them?
Just one device at a time, but it's fairly easy to switch between them - just disconnect your bluetooth from one device and connect it to your other device with bluetooth.
are you able to use the cars buttons to skip songs or do you have to do it from the phone?
It must be done from the phone.

Not that I could tell.
Volumes sucks! And there is a static noise.. you forgot to mention this flaws.
