    FYI, the very last step is to TURN ON the cold water supply and RO faucet lever for 10-15mins while the tank ball valve remains CLOSED to normal water stream to relieve built-up pressure inside the RO.

    I'll be looking for more videos like this (mine is a 7 stage system so I'll need to know what other filters need to be done, and when), but this is good to know. Currently, the company that installed mine comes out once a year and it costs me over $300 for the service. I've had the unit since 2012 and the water is insanely good. It actually made me want to drink more water. But I feel like I'm getting soaked on these $300+ replacement visits.

      I agree, having an RO system like this is very beneficial. I encourage you to look into maintaining it yourself, its much cheaper to buy and replace the filters yourself

    You are turning clockwise to unscrew - I'm assuming you are in the US. Is it opposite for Australia? Legit question.

    Housings are stuck can’t do anything how do I get them unstuck?

      Sometimes it's because there is pressure in the system. To release pressure, turn off the main water supply and also open the faucet

      APEC doesn’t suggest it unless you change the membrane filters.

      @@Spreadlove5683 to flush the system a few times, it's pretty simple. Once it's working normally and you are getting water out of it, just let the tank fully fill up, then just open the faucet and let it all drain out. Let it fill up and drain it all out like 2 or 3 times

      before you connect the carbon to the membrane run some water thru them, it will keep a lot of carbon fines from going thru the membrane, it will help to save the membrane

    When do you use the Molykote 111 compound?

      Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with that particular compound. Will need to look it up.

      I like to fill and fully empty the reservoir tank twice before using the water.

    I just change6 filters and new tank and I hear water coming to filters then stops and my tank doesn't fill up HELP!!!

    How to change the filter at the top? It is connected with those tiny tubes and I cannot plug them out to change the filter....

      Push the rings on the filters in and then pull the tubes out. It's very easy.

    Which filters go in which canisters?

      All the canister housings are the same, what really matters is what order the filters are installed. I got this confused myself at first, fixed it soon after the install. :)

    Followed this...now when I'm starting thr system..water starts leaking from the first filter

      Change the O ring in that housing.

      Make sure the o-ring is correctly in it's place and nothing is pushing against that canister

    Wait so if those 3 things are the filters then what are the smaller ones above it?

      That is stage 4 and stage 5... High flow membrane and the carbon filter. Those would need to be replaced every 2 to 4 years

    The housings on mine are STUCK stuck. I think it has to do with pressure.

      My exact problem as well. Had been changing them before and now they are just stuck. I even tried leveraging with hammer on the wrench. No budge on either of the three.

      Try letting the pressure out by shutting the water off and opening the faucet

    This video Doesnt help, I am stuck at step 1 which is opening the housing. Why is so tight? i am rotating clockwise as viewed from top. And I am using a hammer but its not buzzing

      Make sure there is no pressure in the system. Turn off the water at the main valve and also open the faucet as well. Doing this should relieve the pressure.

      There might be pressure in the system. Try to turn the water off at the valve and open the faucet to relieve pressure first
