Congratulations on breaking the 5000 subscribers, you deserve it. 👍 What an absolutely epic battle with the first fish.! I have a jar of the Berkeley ones in chartreuse, sometimes fish them using my fly rod on a #10 curved buzzer hook. On Stillwater's cast across the breeze and just let a bow form in the line and let it slowly drift, and hang on.! I also use them in saltwater fishing for micro species on ultralight tackle rods casting 1-7gr, head hooked on # 12 fished dropshot style. Keep the films coming. 😃
Off set the jig hook to eye of the jig. Simply twist so the hook is say 4 degrees. Your hook up ratio greatly in crease. I steelhead fish Washington state. Just a lil tip. 😉
Thanks for the videos!👍 Russell Blessing invented the Woolly Bugger fly to imitate the hellgrammite, the large insect larva of the Dobsonfly. The original Woolly Bugger had an olive chenille body, black hackle and marabou tail. It would be interesting to know what color(s) the Trout Magnet Hellgrammite bug(s), the trout would prefer, along with how any added scent(s), would effect the lure.
Good idea for a show would be the Leland Trout Slayers. I'm sure you have some. Basically a small crawfish trout magnet. They work extremely well. Especially for Browns and Brooks
The hook is small and light so it can be used for fly fishing as well. I have done this many times. Hellgermites will catch trout anywhere. Live hellgermites will catch trout over any other bait anytime guarantee, they are like lobster to trout. Thanks for doing this video I've been wanting to see you use them. Up next Phoebe's gold and silver
I don’t know if you’ve tried the gulp hellgrammite but they are really good for trout and even for crappie. The gulp crickets are awesome if you can’t find the gulp hellgrammite.
I would like to see some the trout guys use super dupers. Me and my Dad use to trout fish in WV years back catching really nice rainbows, browns and gold trout .90% of the time we used super dupers .
Another interesting video are all the rivers stocked on a regular basis ? Would like to see some Biggie's from trophy trout river Can you get Barbless 1/64 jig head's tight lines stay safe
Live hellgamites is probably one of the best baits possible for trout. You get unreal action on them. Wouldn't mind giving these fake ones a go. As luve hellgamites are a pain to catch. Are these scented at all?
I haven't seen you post a video of this before and I might be wrong, but I heard that Crawfish/Crayfish is a great bait for trout.... I would love to see if you could do that lol
Are u taking long to get him in for show? To make it more dramatic or something? I fish 2lb test in slower and heavier current and it never takes that long. Just get him in n catch more. Stop the acting
That first one put up one of the best fights I've seen you have! Great job!
Heck yeah!!
I love and appreciate the consideration and time you take handling these fish! Kudos buddy
Wow that was fast ! Congratulations. Great videos

Do you have a video showing how to do this. I am a visual learner.
Love watching your channel always learning something new thanks
Another awesome video well done
You need to swap your reel handle around. Instead of switching hands. You'll be more ready when they strike and land mire fish.
My second video from you and I feel like I'm getting a PhD in trout magnetology. Great stuff man.
Never seen a dude who likes these things more in my lifetime
That first one put up a nice fight! Congrats on 5k! Awesome videos.
I was just looking at those the other night.... awesome
Great video, love using live hellgrammites (when you can find them) but will definitely give this a shot. Thanks as always for the great info.
chad hoskins Cabela’s carries them
Dude your always fishing the same stocker river. Those damn trout bite anything!!!
For real. How about a stream where you have to work for a 9 inch brown??
Just found this channel last night and had to subscribe
Always enjoy your videos man
Hey pal - were those the small hellgrammites (1.25 inch 1/200oz jig) or the larger version (2.75 inch 1/64oz jig)? They looked to be the smaller ones.
They were the small ones if memory serves
Niiice...I have some in my tackle box, I'm gonna take them out!

Excellent for smallmouth in rivers as well. Have caught several 4lb plus beauties on them now. I fish with a medium light and 5lb line.
Congrats on 5k

Thanks for the tip I like you videos man just up the work man
Missed that one on Slayers. They do work well. Caught 5 of my 14 this morning on those. Little River, Sparta, NC.
I actually forgot that till I went back and viewed it. I commented then too. Sometimes they run together
Gonna have to try them
Gotta love it

Just found your channel and subbed. Really enjoying from Bristol (TN side).
Great catches! Awesome video! What was your line choice?
Nice fish, every time you real with the drag going you twist your line.
I'll be getting those .. I'll bet they are killer on smallmouth
They are as long as hellgermites live in the water. Hellgermites live in rivers and streams with rocks.

Thanks excellant
Bravo.
I wish I had sweet water like that in Pa ...is that a delayed harvest artificial only area?
Great video and where do you get the trout floats?
👍👍👍
Do those hellgrammite come in different sizes professor never heard of them out here in calif
I think they do
Do you use the trout magnet floats? I can’t seem to get it to stand straight up and down, always falls to the side. Any tips?
Put a small spit shot an inch from the bobber. That’ll help
Another interesting video are all the rivers stocked on a regular basis ?
Would like to see some Biggie's from trophy trout river
Can you get Barbless 1/64 jig head's tight lines stay safe
Just take pliers and pinch it down
Heck yeah. Lol

No scent but I recently found a Gulp version that is
Berkeley makes them. Gulp alive. Work almost as well as real thing and easier to handle
Ill try em..
Do you think they would work in a pond for blue gills?
Yes
@@NRVOutdoors thank you sir
i subd

Hey man I fished Crooked Creek yesterday and got an 18 inch brown on a Joe's fly!
those are so hard to cast out, they aren't like the trout magnets.
