The new bracelet is absolutely an upgrade over the cheap hair puller 9000.
I absolutely love mine and wear it proudly among my other way more expensive watches
got the batman 2 weeks ago and I forgot I have more expansive watches

I have a standard Q reissue and it's a solid little piece for not a lot of money. I actually just fluorinert filled mine today and it looks amazing fluid filled. Great review on this one.
I'm pretty sure I'll be picking one of these up. I do think the old bracelet had a more 70s vintage look but I actually think the new one looks pretty good too. These GMTs seemed like an obvious good idea when Timex released these Qs but it was still a pleasant surprise they did it.
Side note, I ordered a Formex Essence 39 (not the Leggera) just before their recent price increase. Should be arriving this week. Something to look forward to.
I think for the price, that is an absolute steal and a must have!
Another home run from Timex. So nice to see from an affordable watch brand. I actually love the new bracelet over the original. Looks much more substantial than the original even though less adjustable on the fly like the original.
I appreciate that Timex exists to temper these other brands that want you to think you need a GMT (we all have smart phones) so they can charge you $600 and up for the privilege.
Nice review of a decent watch. I bought one because I'm a GMT junkie. No complaints at all. And of course it's an excellent timekeeper.
Hey Chris. Thanks for the video. I’m really thinking about getting this watch but I have one slight concern. I’ve only had watches with click bezels, not friction, so my question is: is that friction bezel prone to being so loose in the future that it’ll just rotate involuntarily? Or will it, even with its drawbacks, remain “frictioned” enough to stay properly in place? I’d really appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

Fix the bracelet issue by getting one from one of the cheap casio silver/metal f91w. No hair pulling, looks better and IMHO gives it a more vintage feel.

how would you say this compares to the rotary henley gmt? Similar price, both quartz gmts, similar looks, etc. The rotary's bigger, but has sapphire crystal. Not sure which to get......

I like the new bracelet, old one looked like a stretch bracelet.
If anyone has a lead on (if or) where you can buy just the Timex Q rubber strap, drop a link. Throwing it on the strap would make this such a sweet summer piece.
I asked Timex about this as well and they said they don't sell them separately. Missed opportunity!

That braceletis arguably better, but it simply looks bad. The older one fits the watch look perfectly.
Yes It's definitely a better bracelet, just not in my opinion as good looking as the old one. I agree with you
it is 400$ in eu which is a big NO for this kind of watch.
I gotta say, the only negative for me from this watch is the movement. I can't stand a one second tick, it makes the watch look like it was made by Fisher price. I know it's completely subjective and sounds douchey of me to say, but I don't care. I like what I like.
I actually like the quartz movement in this. Along with the case shape it makes it feel like a Mashup of an old Rolex GMT Master and a Rolex Oysterquartz.
