He has never won an election in his life, or even participated in a debate. He was simply appointed to the presidency. But he is a "good" personnel officer and was able to place even more insignificant creatures than himself on all the positions in Russia. That's why he's still on the throne. Considering all the violations of the Budapest Memorandum, maybe Moscow should give Ukraine its nukes back

Nah Ukraine just wants its internationally recognised territories back🤗Maybe two or three Russian border regions only to cover war reparations, that's all.
The Russians have seized Crimea, seized a huge part of Ukraine and gained a land corridor to Crimea. You can keep laughing, it will be especially funny in a year when Ukraine signs the surrender. By that time, it will have lost even more territories, and you keep laughing at Russia.
Not even close. Russia controls a large landmass and has a large population, but their population is old, their economy is middle-of-the-pack and technologically they lag. For example: Mexico is a stronger world power than Russia. They have around the same population but their population is younger, their economy is more diversified and they have a larger manufacturing capacity. Do you consider Mexico a world super power? This misconception about Russia arises because Russia was in its path to becoming a world super power before WW1. Even before industrializing, it was a heavy weight champion in the world stages against the other word superpowers including France, Germany, and the Ottoman Empire. Their population was growing fast and they had a path to liberalize their economy. Unfortunately, the Soviets won. The Russian economy grew while industrialization (which the Tsar prevented before) occurred but this did not occur organically and since Soviet industry was protected from external markets, it became less competitive over time. Just 1% of growth per year more over a lifetime makes the difference between filthy wealth and poverty. The Soviets squandered the momentum Russia could have used to become the dominant power of Europe with bad policy to the detriment of themselves and the Russian people. Now Russia has the economy of Spain but the average Russian is way poorer than the average Spaniard. The effect of Soviet policy over the Russian economy can be easily observed comparing the Koreas or China before/after economic liberalization. Imagine if the Soviets lost! Unfortunately they won. Now Russia is on the way out (just look at demographics, they are an old middle income country), this is their last war unless something drastically changes.
@@themachine9366 all that makes russia a superpower is their (presumably) vast nuclear arsenal. Apart from that, they are not special in any way. Maybe apart from their own ambitions to become a superpower and dominate every other country in the world, as they clearly have shown two years ago.

in the end when ukraine pulls back what are they looking at themselves in their own land when they should 1000k away in other places also that 1000sq k has a big border how long will it take protect it
@@Ukraine_Takes_Moscow It depends on your definition of breakthrough “A breakthrough occurs when an offensive force has broken or penetrated an opponent's defensive line, and rapidly exploits the gap.” There aren’t really defensive lines along the border as they’d just be shelled constantly. So Russia (and Ukraine) setup their lines back from the border. Ukraine has crossed the border but haven’t (yet) managed to push past the first line of Russian defenders/villages.
Because the Russian military sucks? Look back to the beginning of the war. Russia was going to be in Kyiv in 20 days. They're now 883 days behind schedule. Gee, I wonder what happened?
So, let's recap this epic fail of Russian border security: 1. Russia, a supposed superpower, got its ass handed to it by a surprise attack from its much smaller neighbor. 2. Putin, the tough guy, is now playing defense while his troops are getting slaughtered in Ukraine. 3. The Russian elite, those pillars of stability, are suddenly shitting their pants about being next on the chopping block. It's like watching a toddler lose at hide-and-seek. Poor Putin. Between the Ukrainian jabs and his own incompetence, he's turning into a global laughingstock. Maybe it's time for Russia to invest in some better alarm systems.
Kursk seems to be reverting itself to its previous status a province of Ukraine. This must be emabarrassing to a country which insists that life within itself couldn't be better. I dont see the emergence of the Kursk resistance in fact it appears that the locals are more intent on looting their neighbours
The Ukraine is sending a clear message to Russia. “You invaded our country. Now, we’re invading yours. If you don’t like it, go home and leave us alone.”
Spent last two years wearing down russian airforce, navy, armour, transport, stretching logistics and troop quality available to russia and then go on the counter as f16 come on side.. wonder how far back this was planned
Russia should surrender and let Ukraine keeps the land they invaded. That way, it won’t lose more grounds and keep its citizen safe and no more needed to keep evacuating. Moscow also may fall if this continues to advance. Or they can just trade their land with Crimea and then sign a paper to make Ukraine withdraw. Peace. And everyone gets their land back. Happy ending.
@@allround3052 Speaking of nukes, remember how Ukraine gave up their nukes after assurances by the USA, UK and Russia that they'd respect their territorial integrity? Russia can't be trusted.
At this point... Yeah, Ukraine getting their land and peace back is definitely non negotiable. But... The pain, suffering and death Russia caused... I don't know how comfortable I am to just let that slide. Normally, if we followed WW2 logic, the allied forces would march into russia, grab their corrupt leadership and purge it, like they did with the Nazis. Then try to rebuild the mentality of the population, trying to bring it into the global community for lasting peace. But you can't do that with a psychopath sitting on a bunch of rocket propelled, intercontinental Nukes. :( I really wonder what the international long term strategy for russia is. You can't ignore them, we tried that, they started a war. You can't trade with them, they try to let your population freeze in winter. We can't also let them recover their military power, that would just cause bigger problems in the future. Really a gigantic international problem... The only strategy for lasting peace with russia I see is the same strategy they did with west germany after WW2, everyone, including the people in russia would be better off, but... Nukes...
dag…, I agree with you. I will add that it’s questionable if Russia has even taken care of their nukes. They no longer have the capability to send troops into a hot radioactive zone. They are not trained or equipped for such operations. Putin is a lying bully. It’s all he’s got.
Японцам надо готовится, похоже украинцы идут до самого Владивостока, потом вплавь на Японию и так захватят Землю. Такими темпами они это сделают уже через неделю 😮😮😮😮
Most likely hiding in his bunker, behind a gigantic desk, where he's pushing around little markers representing units that were destroyed ages ago, while his generals are telling him they're _just_ about to win against Ukraine, because they're scared shitless he'll find out they sold all their weapons, equipment, ammunition, underwear and boot laces on the black market, and thus have them thrown out of a window... russia really is a big fat _joke,_ although not a very funny one, primarily just a lame and cringy one...

Putin was never a "Tough Guy", he was just a clerk in the USSR-friendly East Germany KGB division. After that he was a thug in St. Petersburg. He was always stupid, weak and a coward. He has never won an election in his life, or even participated in a debate. He was simply appointed to the presidency. But he is a "good" personnel officer and was able to place even more insignificant creatures than himself on all the positions in Russia. That's why he's still on the throne. Tussia doesn't have hundreds of aircraft. Yeltsin and Putin sold them off and pocketed the money.

Was Russia not a superpower? 😮
History has many examples of large powers underestimating smaller nations.
Yeah, we thought so too, now they are basically a Northkorea with more Nukes and not so strict borders.

Correct. The Ukrainians are expanding their grip on Russian territory.
The Ukrainians have also been attacking across the border there too but have yet to make a breakthrough.
@@lamsmiley1944 Literally crossing the border is a breakthrough. Crossing into Belgorod Oblast is a breakthrough. You oddball.
@@Ukraine_Takes_Moscow It depends on your definition of breakthrough “A breakthrough occurs when an offensive force has broken or penetrated an opponent's defensive line, and rapidly exploits the gap.”
There aren’t really defensive lines along the border as they’d just be shelled constantly. So Russia (and Ukraine) setup their lines back from the border. Ukraine has crossed the border but haven’t (yet) managed to push past the first line of Russian defenders/villages.
How is this even possible??
Because the Russian military sucks? Look back to the beginning of the war. Russia was going to be in Kyiv in 20 days. They're now 883 days behind schedule. Gee, I wonder what happened?
Remember either way innocent people are dying war is a terrible monster we must all work together to end.
It is, very inconvenient for an invading country... you know to be invaded.
So, let's recap this epic fail of Russian border security:

Nukes laughing in corner cryboy
I really wonder what the international long term strategy for russia is.
