I think something that could have been added as a baseline is what a squad of 5 initiates out in the open can do to a Apocalypse tank. Especially to see if the Battle Fortress is actually determental to infantry firepower over the baseline.

    Battle Bunker did very well.

I have a feeling the battle bunker has a slight damage boost than a civilian building

BF garrisons use their normal weapons* just enhanced in range and damage. Building & Bunker garrisons use a different weapon in the .ini files, and this weapon is strongest for Initiates.
*GIs and GGIs use their deployed weapons in BFs thus GI BF > initiate BF.

I didn’t know that. I assumed it’d be the same.

So what I'm HEARING is: battle fortress is NOT for bunker use but for transport and running tanks over. The main thing I saw was that the units in the fortress can't fire while it's turning, whereas the static structures give the units 360 degrees field of fire with no rotation needed. I guess you really pay for the ability to move but that also kinda makes sense.

Well that was ridiculous, the initiate BF has the weakest dmg

🤔 curious if the BF itself would have changed the outcome of this scenario

does battle fortress nerf dmg of other units inside as well or is it just glitch affecting units you arent supposed to own as ally?

It's more like it doesn't boost the units inside.
Units inside buildings and the bunker get a boost to fire-rate and that isn't applied to the fortress. They only get its protection.

No, it's just a matter of game logic.
GIs, Conscripts and Initiates have specific "weapons" that are used when garrisoned. That, for example, is the reason garrisoned GIs and Conscript firing sounds are different. In the case of the Initiate, the garrisoned weapon deals 63 damage per shot, while the normal one deals 25.
In the Battle Fortress, all infantry use their normal weapons (in the case of GIs and Guardian GIs, they use their deployed weapons), which is why Initiates are much weaker.

@@IncapableLP If I remember tgSacred's video correctly, units in BFs get a +2 range boost.

The other trick is that during the BF's turning animations the weapons are ever so briefly paused as it reorients itself to use its own gun.

This made no sense why make them stop after passing the buildings. And why didnt he use an elite battle fortress

    • @SimonBuchanNz
      @SimonBuchanNz 10 часов назад

      1. Because that was the last video
      2. Because it doesn't affect the damage of the contained units
