  • Detailed video tutorial of wrapping the bumper of the hottest SUV of the year... the 2019 G63 AMG. So many of our clients who own them expressed how difficult they are to attain, and many of the owners want them protected with Paint Protection Film. Prior to applying PPF, if the G63 you're working on has the optional bull bar/ brush guard, you will need to remove it. (Link below)

    Hi Norb,
Lately you've been posting more and more tutorial videos using pre-cut film. Please keep in mind that most of your viewers are DIY folk like myself and we do not own xpel's expensive cutter unfortunately. Therefore it would be extremely helpful and far more value added if you could post more of full custom wraps. I think your yellow NSX hood wrap was by far the best, fully detailed video that you've posted. I've learned a lot from it, a lot more than other videos with pre-cut film.
Thanks for what you do for us, for all the free information you provide, and please keep up the excellent work.

I'm going to be getting into hand cutting PPF bumpers very soon. I first want to make a video on how to hand cut the film, then show more advanced techniques as in hand cutting. Reason why I'm showing XPEL DAP software cutouts, is that it is the most common program many installers use, and it would cover a large demographic of DAP users. DAP is also the most accurate software on the market, so I like showing it too.
I do understand that many people do not have the plotters or the software. Give me some time, and i promise you'll be seeing lots of bulk bumper install videos!!!!

Loving the videos! On a non kit cut ppf, would you expose the parking sensors or simply wrap over? Would love to see videos on more difficult cars, like the NSX or M2 bumpers! Many thanks for the quality content!

You cant wrap over the parking sensors. The sensors will go nuts when you turn the vehicle on lol

I wonder if I can put G63 style bull bar on the G550? I don’t like G550 bull bar, it covers 360 camera. Thanks

Can I remove my bull bar and use the black covers to hide the bumper base stands?

Im not sure what the exact solution is that he would be using, but during any of my installs I always use a 70% water to 30% isopropyl alcohol ratio for my tack solution. Hope this helps!

Could you pls upload a video on how to install the bull guard. I know you have posted one on how to remove it. But can you also show us how to install it on a new g. Thanks.

We only had to remove the Bull Guards as we install the film on the bumper. G Wagon's without the OEM bull guard have caps in place that will pop out, or you may have to remove the bolt underneath. I wouldn't imagine its much different than removal.

Hello, why are you using Stek instead of Expel's PPF? Do you feel its a better product.

This was a customer preference for the G wagon. My first go to film is the XPEL Ultimate Plus, but lately I've been using STEK DYNOshield quite often. I do find that it is a very solid material, and there is nothing bad I can really say about it at all! I'm very impressed with STEK, however here in Toronto, many people ask for XPEL. Both films get a thumbs up from me!!

how does Xpel rate against suntek?

    • @ThePPFChannel

Both are great films. In my opinion, and at this current time, I feel that XPEL is a bit of a better film. More consistent finish, great adhesive, and relatively easy to work with. I've used SunTek for years, but since the SunTek Ultra came out, I found silly issues with the film. Maybe I'm just being super picky...
