- A detailed tutorial on how to wrap a Corvette bumper with Paint Protection Film. As the XPEL DAP software is the most up to date and most accurate on the market, I used the template to install the PPF.
Vehicle: 2018 Chevrolet Corvette GrandSport
Material used: XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF
Pattern used: XPEL DAP Cutout - extended edges

this a gold pot, very useful information for people who just want to ppf their car and not spend (or can't afford )an extra 2000 or more for a 3 day course. thanks again
Awesome job sir. This is definitely not easy.
I appreciate these videos. they show tons of detail and you are great at describing the process.
Just wanted to say thank you for posting these videos.
Keep up the good work man! Love your work
Thanks brother! Hope you've been well. We gotta catch up soon!
Great work, I have just gotten a pre cut front bumper and splitter ppf from Gyeon, ironically it's a 2019 Grandsport torch red lol. I hope I can get it on as nice as you have applied it. I will be viewing this video a lot when installing mine! True pros make things look easy, Cheers!!
How’d the install go?
Yes I wanna know too lol
Great Job !! what is the slip solution that you use ?
Thank you Sir!
Thanks for the videos! Any chance you would be doing a Mustang GT350R bumper anytime soon! Considering tackling it myself.
what are you spraying it with? soapy water? i couldnt wrap at all with tons of air bubbles
Does ppf usually wrap under said panel ? Dealer did mine and I don't like it as my car has wrap lines around fenders and such
Would you please show us how to wrap the rear bumper of a 2011 corvette?
how do you remove it i have 4 spots with cuts were it must of gut hit buy something but it didn't go through paint. I just want to take it off I don't like the little cuts it looks like it gut hit by a bugs. thanks.
Hey, what did you wrap all the edges to?
How do you deal with lift lines? Those are my worst enemy, when I see a dust at the very end and have to remove it seems impossible not to have some kind of lift line.
BTW, don't you hate not having a hoist for the bumper 😏
Hey Andrew. I'm trying to figure out how to make a video explaining on how to avoid lift lines and pull marks in the film. I dont want to make a 2 hour video, lol. I am thinking of ideas to make it short and sweet. Will be something I'll post in the Fall time when it slows down a bit at the shop.
Cool, I'll make sure to watch. I've been doing this for 15 years but it seems there is always something to learn
Wouldnt a full sheet be better overall so you dont have to worry about the placement of the center from a precut and since you are using excess then you can overlap the edges?
100% Wrapping bulk (full sheet and trimming) will always be the best fitment possible. I'm trying to demonstrate how to install a XPEL DAP cutout as many people can have access to this kit.
@@ThePPFChannel is Xpel DAP accesible for public and normal installer or is it exclusive only for authorized Xpel Installer?
Hi What do you about dust, When the film drys out i get dust specs i can see. Is some dust acceptable being its a clear film or not. any information on dust and lift lines how to aviod ?
What brand of ppf you use ?
Any recommendation on how long to wait on new paint to fully cure before XPEL can be installed?
Check with the bodyshop first. The longer you wait the better as the paint will have time to gas out. Back in the day, you shouldn't even apply wax or polish the paint for at least 3-6 months... if you're in a big hurry, wait at least 2 weeks before PPF, but it's a risk
@@ThePPFChannel appreciate the advice. Just hate to see any road debris hitting the new paint until is protected.
@@hlu5780 I hear that!!!! Dokt tail gate trucks or cars on the highway.
what are the dimensions of the film used?
hi Car protective film factory
Whats missing is how you cut the wrap.
His was ordered pre-cut
I actually disagree, I don’t think you’re showing a lot of detail. It might be just my opinion but I don’t like videos that are “spit up“. I would rather hear the presenter discussing what he’s doing throughout the video.
Otherwise, I appreciate you sharing
slip solution? where can i get that?
