I'm 178cm tall (5'10in), and i rest on a full/double, for many decades now. I make do, but in all honesty, i wish it was a larger bed, in both width and height. In width, sleeping with a partner is doable, but can become a bit cramped. By yourself is fine though. In height, it can be a bit awkward. I have to shimmy all the way up the mattress, otherwise my feet will be hanging out. For a shorter person, its fine. For someone of my stature, i think a Queen size would be perfect. big enough to be comfortable, but it won't take more space than necessary.
