Thanks for another great video Kip. It was interesting and enjoyable. You seem to be doing good with that Red Bull but be really careful around him. They will take you in a seconds notice. Dangerous these bulls. Getting old and not used equipment ready for auction is a good idea. Some of those items look pretty good yet. Should do good at auction I would think. Your hoof trimmer does a good job it looks like. They really help the cows feet and walking better. The resting stalls you and your helper fixed look better. Interesting how the cows use them a lot. Busy time for you with lots of busy type work. Time to get it done before spring. Thanks for everything Kip. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Glad your getting along with Big Red ... I'm on the safe side of the camera and I stepped back away a little. They will turn on a dime at any time. That's for certain. You do take nice care of your equipment. I'm sure it will do well at auction.
Kip seeing how your dad set that farm up I'm wondering how many times he wished he would have concerted that center section between the buildings? I built pole barns out of high school and always thought leaving equipment outside was throwing money down the drain.
Those hairy warts are milk production killers. When I ran dairy I used a chicken antibiotic that I sprayed on with a hand sprayer in parlor. Can't remember name of it. Tried foot baths but by the time I was done milking they would be full of manure. Didn't think they done as well as the spray.
There was a large variety of different types of pieces of equipment at that museum. Is there a coincidence that they had all JD equipment and you have 98% JD too? Were deere's built in mi too? What crops are grown around your area other than for animals. I think you mentioned something about carrots once. Just looking at your soil it looks so black and rich. Just an abundance of water. How close to the lake are you? Im a couple vlogs behind, so gonna catch up with you. Please be careful of that bull. You cant outrun him. He needs to go to freezer camp soon.
We had a 50 cow registered Holsteins 30 years. Used AI only no live bulls.Yes the red factor Holsteins have way more attitude! Be careful with Ferdinand looks like a quality bull.

Where is this museum?
St. John’s, Mi. At the agro liquid facility. I guess it’s the owner’s personal collection
