Thanks for watching and the support!
You've got good cow sense...no hurrying/harsh treatment and know the status of your animals. Gotta be a jack-of-all-trades to keep things going. Nice to see the family blended in celebrating a third birthday. Cherish the moment...they grow up quickly!!!
I was in the Dairy business. I built and started it myself. I did not know anything about AI but knew I wanted to do this to improve my cows. I had a semon salesman that was willing to show me how to do it. He taught me how to watch for heat detection and when they needed to be bred. He had me pen several up that were ready to be bred and came and talked me through the process. I ended up having a 98 percent conception rate. This is what can be done if you set your mind to do something.
Happy birthday little Man!!!!!
Nice looking bull. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT! 🎉🎈🎉🎈
🎉Happy 3rd Birthday Grant 🎉 here's to many more 🎉🎉🎉
Good luck with the new bull and calf. Happy Birthday little man. Thanks for sharing, always enjoy your videos.

You can certainly tell that you love your cows and talk to them like humans. I think that is awesome and nice video. Thanks for posting one more thing. Nice bull Looks awesome
Nice looking young Bull!
Happy birthday Grant Unbelievable three already I see 10th generation farm building three 24 by 130 silos doing away from bunks silos Another great video
I just saw that, that’s hard to believe
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANTMAN !!!!
The future looks to be
in good hands.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉🎉🎉
Loved watching.
Absolutely beautiful bull
Thank for sharing can't wait to see your next post.
thanks for another great video Kip. Really enjoy what you put out for us to watch, and the Grant lad is growing like a champ.
Happy Birthday Grant!! I forgot how long I have been following. Wow he’s 3. Great video as always keep up the great work. Thank you
Time sure does fly
hello from the Philippines . some times i do miss the farm life but only some times. retirement is a wonderful thing
👍👍
I hope you revisit the A.I. breeding sooner than later. I know the bull works. That being said. The genetic potential you have at your finger tips for not a lot of money.. makes you more money in the long run and it's safer.
Was wondering that myself
I repeatedly wonder the same.
Can’t agree more!
Thanks for another great video Kip.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Happy Birthday to Grant. Happy 3rd birthday!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy your birthday!!!!!🎂
Your new bull looks good. Good addition to your herd. Please be careful around those bulls Kip. You never know what they will do. Don’t want you to be hurt by one.
The cow and calf you found at the other farm appears to be doing good. You keep a good eye on them. Plus you brought a few up to the main farm for calving. More calves coming soon it appears.
Glad that Grants check up went good and he got his French fries. Thanks to you dad and mom.
Those silo unloaders can be problematic. You got that one fixed and working. Good job Kip. High maintenance item they are. That one might need an overhaul.
Thanks for everything Kip. You all be safe and take care.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Happy Birthday Grant love your video keep up the great work
Dang I thought 72 head. How how often do miscalculate calving date and get a calf from the dry cow lot. I swear I had that written before you showed the calf. You should name it Bobbi, that is what I named my first fair calf that looked like just like your little calf.
Please keep a good eye on that red and white bull. He is more dangerous now. The sooner he goes to freezer camp the better.
Happy Birthday to the little man of the house. The Grant man!
👍👍
Awesome thanks for sharing
Love all your videos. Keep them coming.
There's so much new technology put there to make things easier for yall. 😊
Great update Kip. Happy Birthday Grant!
THAT NEW BULL IS REALLY GOOD LOOKING!!
Happy birthday Grant! Kip keep it going.
Wow Nice
Dayton's have been great motors for us, had nothing but problems with baldors, switched to a weg and that's been great knock on wood
Great day on the farm
Love your videos especially ones of the herd!
Happy Birthday little guy!
happy birthday grant. kip, you get a lot of exercise climbing uo and down the silos
Yeah I know they're both one a red Holstein and the other black and white are the register ,like select sire I referred in an earlier comment that some use jerseys for smaller easy calving he also has a nice straight back line keep up the good work take a break
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE KIP 😊
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT !
Happy birthday little man
Howdy Kip, I hope ya'll are doing well,
The herd is really looking good Kip, really good, and I like the shape of your newest bull, your definitely right about the size of head, he's gonna be a big, solid boy for sure, very nice, that calf was on small side, a little thin, but healthy looking, Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT !! 🎂
Happy Birthday Sports Fan 👍🖐😎 🎉
👍👍
Happy Birthday Grant. I hope your dad bought you a new tractor.
Hi kip! we also always use bulls tried ai from time to time but always seem to come back because the numbers dont lie about a bull performance and I also like the look of that young white bull!
I was hoping Lonnie or I would be naturally good at it. I just couldn’t risk these cows getting to far out without getting bred. That’s one of the most important things is getting them bred back 👍
Kip you should look into yellowjacket unloaders we have 2 now in open top harvestore silos with a 3rd going in this spring in a new silo. Amazing unloaders really toss the feed out
Happy Birthday Grant 🎉🎂
Happy birthday Grant🎉
Happy Birthday Grant
Happy birthday Grant
Another great video!
👍👍
🎈Happy Birthday Grant🎈
Happy birthday 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Grant HPPY Birthday Buddy 🎂🎉
Wow, he is 3 already.
Thanks for the great video - Kip you need some Walkie Talkies - seems kinda tough when you're in the Silo , to yell , way down to someone on the ground .
Hey Kip, could you explain the process of how they become dry cows? As a kid, my grandfather was a registered Holstein breeder. I was too young to understand that dry cow thing
Happy Birthday Grant just curious about why you rub on a bull's head ? The first thing I was taught when I was a little kid was never rub a bull's head and 70 plus years later l have never done it
You should be lifting the unloaders about 10 turns each time before you shut them off so there's no load on the motor and belts for starting. Makes it so much easier on them. You just have to make it a rule for everyone to turn it up the 10 before shutting them off so they just need to turn them down the 10 turns each time after you start it up. I don't think we ever blew any of this heavy fuses or the starting capacitors on any of the motors as a result and we had 3 silos.
Looks like you took my advice small bull easy calving
Those are Holstein 👍
Hi Kip how do you select these new young bulls … how do you monitor performances ? How long do they stay in the herd ? What do you want to improve ? Interesting to know .. thought that the main trend was AI . great channel….
Hands on is the key awesome
He is a nce looking young Bull
🎉 I think Grant deserves the calf start to his Future farm of America , Just an idea great mindset peace out
Don't forget pictures and dates to remember break out that square body ,mud show addition lol
I’ve seen it too many times when a Holstein Bull has been very aggressive and have hurt people, usually when they get a bit too old.
I’ve got a question Kip when the baby is born is there a cord that connects to the baby and the mother in? How does that come off? Just curious
Hey kip really interesting to see Holstein bulls being used why not bred heifers to beef bulls Angus or something black with the calf market being so high
Hi mr kip how cows do you milk 🐄🐄🐄🐮🐮🐮
I understand not having time to AI but could you produce sufficient numbers of Holstein heifers with a fraction of your bull battery being Holstein and the balance of your bull battery being Leachman Stabilizer bulls for calving ease and feeder calf marketability?
🙌
Also the same breed, not a Jersey 😊 , watch his mounting , might get injured , you have nice big boned milkers
Im an electrician and your right baldour is excellent but theres nothing wrong with a dayton bud
The bulls looks much like Norwegian Red
What’s the new bulls sire Kip
Easy calving lets go
You like the red and white or black and white Bulls better?
Conception rate AI can be as high as 85 to 90 percent when done properly.
Should have went to CRoy's and got some Yale bologna 😂
It could be worse!! A dry cow AND DRY BULL? Now that would be a real Pig in a Poke!🇨🇦😂
Hello . What is the name of this breed of cattle? Is it difficult to raise?
And then there was a happy boy and another, not so much.... At least you know there will be genetic diversity.
Is there any logic to smaller younger bulls having smaller easy calving
I’m not sure about that
He has a lot of growing to do. A small guy.
Can you show your calfs?
At first glance he doesn't look like a bull he looks more like a steer he seems ok with you being near him some bulls don't want anything to do with you.
What’s the breeding of the bulls
Where did the 3 years go
OK one more thing why don’t you use walkie-talkies instead of yelling down to Your helper just curious again I just like your videos
2:00 I hope you do.
pocket speech for Grant?
Not knocking the jerseys but they're little spunky
So the artificial breeding video was for likes?
do you have e-mail?
Nice video. C'mon man, you failed to mention, Yale is considered unofficially as the Bologna Capital of the world.
Happy Birthday Grant
