The scarabs are pretty good…when they die because you can explode them and deal mortal wounds to a big model and deal some fat damage besides that yeah they pretty shit
Low effort tier list RUclips slop? YOOOOOOO! That's also what we made this week too! One flaw in the episode. We do not make good stuff nor do we know what we're talking about.
Counterpoint, you are faking your lack of knowledge as part of a grand scheme for Tzeentch that is so complex it alludes mortal comprehension. The inquisition knows your crimes...
Fun fact about the ork box: You can’t run the leader with any of the units that come in the box. You could attach a regular warboss to boyz, but a warboss in mega armor only leads meganobz. So you get a straight up useless leader for $160.
Problem with this tier list. It’s in the middle of an edition. By the end of the edition they will all be replaced. So this is the 9th edition box where characters couldn’t join units.
The redone Dark Angels Combat Patrol is the same, as is the new Tau Combat Patrol on the way. At least Tau get away with it because solo Commanders are good...
@@rickypachucho4313 No, no, no. Bigger. They'll expand on the flesh change somehow so that we have tzangor adjacent creatures. That way they can make a holiday box that is like 80 tzangor and a handful of the new units.
Don't oversell DG by comparing it to WE. The DG combat patrol is the purest-strain dogshit that has ever been found. It's honestly probably worse than the TS combat patrol
@@josephdavis4682 The DG patrol had at least some purpose in 9th. If you had no DG and for some reason really wanted to play specifically the Typhus detachment, it got you your leader, tar pit, and some basic dudes as an ok starting point. As far as combat patrol goes, yeah it's definitely one that released way before GW had any idea what they wanted combat patrol to be. Hell, I'm still not sure they know what they want the format to be other than a way to sell models people don't really want.
Oh man, the amount of GW employees i've spoken to who have all said the exact same thing about the TS Combat patrol... If i had a nickel "No one likes Tzaangors, but someone in head office definitely does"
The Canoptek Scarabs are actually only available in a Necron warrior box or in the combat patrol. They're usually not even that disliked, if disliked at all, they pair well with a Canoptek Spyder imo
How can you dislike the little guys? They're the perfect action monkeys and speed bumps at 12 wounds for 40 points. the enemy is always losing value shooting at them, and theyre annoying if you ignore them.
The saddest part is that if they kept Start Collecting boxes running alongside Combat Patrol boxes, it would be such a good gateway into the hobby. Buy this box set to wet your beak, then buy this slightly bigger, slightly pricier box set to complement it, and from there you have the core of your army set and can buy whatever you want. Its much harder to convince a friend to drop the cash for a Combat Patrol box set by comparison.
Start Collecting used to be a good supplement army box you could buy multiples of, and still have a proper filled out army for $100 at a time. These new boxes just feel like overpriced junk, shoved in a box because it was not selling, or its from a box set that there too lazy to make into individual kits like Shadow Spear.
@@horriblypink the space marines one also just show me how bloated and bland the range is now. Endless hordes of similar marines, fewer and fewer unique aspects of the chapters
@@horriblypink 80-100 bucks for models that all (mostly) have a use in an army were an amazing idea. That GW then progressively shot themselves in the foot isn't that surprising.
@@horriblypinkthe new space marine and Tyranid ones are a great example of “wow, I can buy this for 30$ online” because fuck us for wanting a combat patrol with full kits, and not just the easy builds. It’s also more expensive than just buying half of leviathan
The reason for the scarabs is because it's connected to the warrior sprue. Also, the ability to blow themselves up to inflict mortals is quite fun and they are a decent cheap and tanky screening unit
I'am happy getting them with warrior kit. When you have enough of them for army. They are great to use as basing material and/or on climbing on larger bodies of vehicles, canopteks etc.
You know what I want in my Thousand Sons army? THOUSAND SONS! You know what I don't want in my Thousand Sons army? BEASTMEN! Where the hell are the Rubric Marines, GW?!
Look at this fool, unable to handle the sheer majesty that is the Tzaangor, the perfect being, the holy horned bird-goat-man, blessed child of the changer of ways. Reject the hollow, unchanging rubric. Embrace Tzaangor.
This is a problem with GWs insane pricing. 10 space marines for the same price as 10 guardsman. The combat patrols are “correctly” priced to keep the kits all at the same “value” but guard and GSC and Admech are just armies who are so grandly overcosted that their sets are never a value
@@DMKA94 100% second this. The box should cover your bases, for guard thats a scary unit, some screening units and some holding units. From that core army you can then develop it into whatever style you want. I wish i had started in the days when they had boxes like the armored fist box. a guard squad and a chimera, literally a perfect box to add an entire capability to your army.
Nothing convinced me more that combat patrols are used to clear out excess stock than the new Dark Angels box having a captain in gravis armor included. There’s the obvious issue of him literally not being able to lead any unit in the box. But there’s the other take of, DA don’t really use a captain in gravis armor. I know the SM chapter boxes are meant to be more of a “Space Marine combat patrol but different units” except Black Templars who get their unique units for some reason. Get fucked Dark Angels, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves I guess. It just screams “we have too many captain’s in gravis armor in the warehouse. Quick, throw them in the DA box”
@@Kingofdragons117 ^This is the only reason why the DA CP kind of works. If it's combined with a different CP. Although it means you're getting at least one set of chaptered upgrade sprues you can't use.
Oh, don't forget that the Space Wolves have a unique unit! They have the Hounds of Morkai, which are totally not just some rievers dressed up with a funny name haha trust me bro they're definitely special and unique and not just regular units with a new name.
I mean, the store page literally says: "Hounds of Morkai are a deadly and highly manoeuvrable unit of Reivers", so I don't know what else we were supposed to expect, lol@@jamesashcroft8170
In the early 2000s, I got this thing called the Elder Battleforce. It was 20 guardians, a falcon, a vyper and like three jetbikes. I guess that these are all useful in the context of a bigger army with a leader, but when it was all I had, I lost every game I played. All my opponent had to do was kill the falcon, and then I had nothing that could hurt their stuff. One time I went to the games workshop with my newly assembled battleforce and took part in the Armageddon battle they had. I put down all my stuff in a little corner because it was the only place where there was room. It was the other team's turn when I put the models down. Before I could do literally anything, this guy on the other team charges at me with these crazy chaos melee units. There was no points limit, so he got to say that they had all the upgrades. One of them just slaps my falcon, he rolls a couple dice. The falcon explodes and kills all my models. I am no longer in the game.
Thousand Sons: -5 Scarab Occult Terminators...which are great -10 Tzaangor...which aren't great -1 Infernal Master, which is great...except that it can't join either the Scarab Occult Terminators OR the Tzaangor. Genius move, GW
Well to be fair, in Combat Patrol games, any such leaders are usually given enhancements to give them more power and survivability (such as the Gravis Captain in the new DA box), so they are designed to be played as solo units (and you can keep them near others anyway). Afterwards, you are likely to buy something they can join up with, so I do not see it as a massive problem in the long run.
@@chromasus9983 Totally fair. I guess as someone who doesn't play combat patrol I had no idea how internally balanced it was in that context. Note to self, play more combat patrol.
I will spread cope and tzaangor propaganda so here is why it’s a great combat patrol Combat patrol tsons Cheap due to low demand You get to run 20 birds can you complain about that 1 sorcerer very cool sculpt and a tsons sculpt easier to paint (terminator lord is not a proper tson sculpt so the only option that would join is tzaangor shaman) 20 tzaangor Cunning bird men, fun to paint, good objective holders, birds (it’s worth repeating again) Terminators good unit and a core to a tsons force easier than rubrics to paint and very tough cool models
Bro, what? There are so many things you could criticise the TSons box for, and your biggest complaint is that a box that came out halfway through 9th edition isn't compatible with 10th edition's rules?
As someone who's sworn off GW products to escape the endless grind of FOMO, it's always fascinating to watch videos talking about how to affordably purchase GW sets. There's some kind of feeling I get when I see people justifying how paying $160 for 20 infantry and a tank or two is a really good deal--sort of a "There but for the grace of God go I." Like, I'm not judging or anything, I get it, they had me in their clutches for years. I'm just lucky enough to have escaped their vicious cycle, and now I get to look back into the maelstrom and thank my lucky stars that BattleTech lets me enjoy endless hours of fun with a single $5 Mad Cat I bought off a dude on Etsy.
Well, if you want some "cheap" solutions or just genuinely curious to how cheap you can get your 40k armies at the *worst* possible case scenario, look at PoorHammers "Building a army for 500" and they'll tell you that with the current information there's 3 armies you can do easily for under 500, more like under 400 if you don't go the route of the worst possible pricing you can find.
I mean, battletech is dirt cheap compared to GW, even if you go on the premise of "I am definitely getting the plastic miniatures even though I don't have to" route. $55 for a box of 4 (min you need for a game) and if you want to build a max point army, you are looking at roughly 250 instead of over 1k.
For 1 combat patrol box you could get the battletech mercenaries kickstarter box that includes 2 extra forcepacks, a museum scale madcat, and extra swag slapped on top. Edit: that actually leaves $10 left over so you could also get a nice coffee and a scone, and probably leave a nice tip to the barista and help them have a good day; because you're having a good day because you didn't give GW any money
Well done friend, it’s refreshing to see the releases keep coming and not feel the need to splash out constantly. I just stick with 9th and play guard with my friends, using warlord games ww2 minis as my infantry/tanks and a kitbashed 1/32 churchill as my banehammer. Never been richer;)
Little addendum to the Sororitas box: This looks like the content of the starter box back then, which was fine, but also had VERY limited special weapon choices. I believe the seraphim had only their bolt pistols (which sucks, because they are not going to be around for long, so you want them to carry as many special weapons for that one alpha strike as possible) and the 10 sisters had like... One flamer between them?
I think an AMAZING thing about the drukhari combat patrol is that it’s even better than the box says! You get extra models that go on the raider that you can easily put a base under and call an archon or kabalite!
I mean, three of those boxes give you a nice, thematic start to a DEldar army (and over 1200 points, even if you only play a single Archon). Add three Venoms and maybe Drazhar, and you've got yourself a 1500 point army which feels very Dark Eldar.
@@Sammy9262You could convert one of the Archons into 'Drazhar' using bits from the Incubi leader. Maybe you could convert some of the spare models from the Raider into Wyches or something.
The segment where you shit on the thousand suns army with intense music in the background is hilarious. Just the barely contained laughter in your voice as you talk about them and Gws idea for them cracks me up
You shouldn't just compare that space marine combat patrol against the Leviathan box. That isn't for sale anymore. Compare it against the new 40k starter set and ultimate starter sets. You can buy the 40k starter set and a separate librarian in terminator armour for less than the Space marine combat patrol! You would have the same amount of Space Marines but also you get a pile of free Tyranids with that as well!
Worst part of this combat patrol is, that all the minis inside are monopose, so they are good for a cheap starter set but should never priced full like in this box
Same for the Tyranids. You can get the box and some Barbgaunts for cheaper than the 'Nids Combat Patrol (Buy a Librarian and you're looking at about a 50p difference)
What you don’t like combat patrol Tzaangors? Come on, who plays one of the Chaos Space Marine factions to use Chaos Space Marines. I really hope the Orks get an updated one that’s 60% gretchin
It wouldn’t be so bad if they were word bearers who are known to utilise mortal fodder, throw in master of possession, dark apostle and unit of possessed and it’s at least lore accurate. Hell the death guard one would be if you replaced typhus with a lord.
Tbh I wouldn’t even complain if I was fighting an all grot army. Had someone bring all grots and Gretchen to a game with me once. Was the most fun I’ve ever had.
Tyranid Combat Patrol could go from a B to an A+ (IMO) if they just swapped the Psychophage with a more iconic tyranid monster like the Exocrine-Haruspex kit.
Will add re: the Thousand Sons box that if you're one of the weird people who also play Tzeentch in Age of Sigmar, Tzaangor in AoS are fairly elite infantry unlike the cultist-tier chaff they are in 40k. So you get a significant chunk of points on the table with 20 of them. But for that to be a consideration, it's banking on you wanting to play both Thousand Sons and AoS Tzeentch, so -- yeah, niche.
I'm sure you will get this comment a billion times, but the scarabs are permanently attached to the warriors sprue, which is why they are in every box that includes warriors.
If you want to play Guard you could checkout the new Solar Auxilia models. You could use them either as normal guardsmen or Scions. Btw there are retailers who sell the the models sometimes with a 25% discount, atleast in Europe
You have to do some research if you really want to do Guard as a new player. The Guard Combat patrol is actually pretty decent for a second purchase since Bombards aren't that bad tbh. And you basically will have all the infantry you would need to do 1k point games. If you can get the Cadian defense force, the pair of Rogal Dorns slap. 2 CPs and the Cadian defense force box gets you pretty close to 1500 points, then you get 2 Russes and fill what else you want for the remainder.
If you wanted to start Guard, you're better off spending $95 on a 3-box set of any Death Fields infantry kit from Wargames Atlantic. Sure, you're getting the same 72 infantry (90 if it's Male Cannon Fodder), but that's a good chunk of the infantry you'll want for a mixed Guard list. Spend the remaining $65 on a Leman Russ and lunch from Taco Bell.
I have seen them post around on some of his videos actually iirc. I just hope they don't make him hate guard infantry like Poorhammer does. I despise their takes on the Imperial Guard cause it seems like they haven't played Guard at all this edition.
We've officially run out of your content and now are always scraping and waiting for your next videos! We've even started listening to fantasy lore because it's more of Your content! It's great stuff! Thanks for making such awesome stuffs! ^^
What is even worse about the Deathguard box is that it is *part* of the Deathguard selection from Dark Imperium + Typhus. For the same price that Dark Imperium was... Necrons, Space Marines, and Tyranids also have this problem, but at least the Combat Patrols are cheaper than the box set they came from.
@@liam24040 Huh, you are correct there, there is some egg on my face there. I'd still peg it as one of the worst Combat Patrols outside of the Nids and Marines ones (of which nearly all of the contents of both are in the starter set that is cheaper).
@@fyetor haha, I only noticed because it's my army and yeah no, it's still garbage, poxwalkers are easy to pick up and you can only take 60 so more than two boxes is pointless
I feel so sorry for Tzaangor. In every GW game they are just SOOOOOOO bad. Yet they end up in every vaguely Tzeentch box. They so DESPERATELY want you to buy them, but... like... no...
If I remember correctly the scarab swarms come with the necron warriors. Also both the space marine and tyranid wombat patrols are literally just their half of the ultimate starter set, which you can get for considerably less than buying both, plus some terrain and a board to play on.
I think the Demons Box is also a solid pick for World Eaters players. If you want a chunk of blood letters to run alongside your berserkers its a great pickup
15:28 As someone who actually likes Space Marines, the God-awful haircuts was the biggest reason why I didn't choose the Black Templars when I was picking my chapter.
yo you’re at 200k subscribers now, congrats also I’m surprised you didn’t remember to add in my “L for Lacking a Leman Russ” joke that you laughed at during the stream
While the primaris crusader squad in the Black Templar combat patrol are BT models before the upgrade sprue, it takes very little work to make them work as non-BT models. Basically you just need to shave down the black Templar crosses on the shoulder pads and you’re basically done (but also know doing so is annoying.) The space marine neophytes can be fancy looking intercessors, or even a stern guard squad with a flamer and if you’ve got some extra weapons you can make them look like they have a stern guard arsenal. Though with a pyreblaster/flamer you can kind of do that already. The initiates can just be fancy looking scouts, though the crusade squad only has 4 so technically under strength, and you lack the parts to model them the special guns they can have as a scout squad (not like it matters most of the time though). Still, a crusade squad can be seen as 5-6 cool looking space marines, and 4 cool looking scouts. The sword brother is the best part though, so blinged out and with an (optional) cape, it takes very little effort to make the sword brother be a lieutenant or even captain stand in. Even has the 40mm base. The crusader squad also comes with a couple power fists, so you can model a power fist captain. Using some spare parts in the intercessor sprue from the patrol box, you can have the sword brother wield a bolter and melee weapon like a proper captain. But even if you don’t do that, just shaving down some of the BT symbols is enough to make the model a nice looking commander unit. If you get multiple of the patrol boxes, you can use the sword brothers to make a bladeguard squad, or even sternguard if you kitbash some guns to them. The kit comes with the parts to make at least two sword brethren as well (two capes, two power fists, two power swords, etc) so it has a lot of potential for creativity. While many of the legion specific models are tough to make non-specific, I think the crusader squad is one that is more the opposite and it can and should be used to give your regular old space marine army some extra flavor
I've been playing Space Marine 2 with friends. Every time Tzangoors spawns we say "Combat Patrol incoming !" just because of this video. Thank you... I guess ?
How did gw go “we want to make combat patrols balanced” and then proceed to make the admech one worse. Imagine you and your friend buying a combat patrol and you have to play against custodes as admech.
Glad someone remembers the Start Collecting boxes, I wish they would still be around. An HQ, chaff units and a big miniature for at times 60 Bucks was beautiful, I got 2 of the Admech ones which built the backbone of my army. And then with the PRIOR BETTER Combat Patrol: changed the HQ in the Box from a Dominus to an Enginseer (smaller dude), put a unit of Kataphron in there and almost double the price. I like the fact that CP allow for their own gamemode, but they Overall dont feel as great value wise than the Start Collecting ones. And people rather Start a Hobby when the entry Fee is around 60- later 80 € instead of ~120€
about the guard box 1.guard get a cb stratagem called send in the next wave for 1 cp and its just take a guardsmen unit that was just unit killed and bring it back next turn. 2. i think for the smaller size of cb the sentinel works good sense 25 guys, a leman russ, and a artillery unit would not be that well balance wise 3. i think the old box is trash for a leman russ you get half the men, a commissar instead of a command squad which is a trash trade sense you need them orders and the only ones the commissar give are +1 to oc and +1 to weapon skill and ok buff while the a command squad gives more men bteer buffs like 5+ feel no pains 24 inch order range and all regimental orders ,and instead of the field Ordnance battery you get 1 heavy weapon guy when they suposed to come in boxes and squads of 3's and the commissar cant even give them a +1 to hit
If I would do a CP for guard, it would be 20 cadians, a Chimera, Heavy Weapon teams, Castellan, and a Kasirkin squad. If that is too much, drop a cadian squad. It would be a perfect box for Guard.
Honestly it was your lore videos AND the jetbikes in this box that made me want to collect aeldari. I just wanna do zoomies with a bunch of bikes and tanks, if the bike autarch was back I unironically would run 20+ windriders and as many shining spears fire prisms and night spinners as I could fit in my list~
Feels weird seconding a sponsor but I got a Manta mask six years ago and it is truly a game-changer. That and a white noise machine and you'll sleep like the dead. Sure beats draping a dirty sock over the LED display of a clock.
If you do the maths on the Thousand sons combat patrol here in the UK it’s just get one tzaangor free. But I don’t even want my free Tzaangor. I want some damn rubric marines. Patrol =£95 Sold separately = £25 (infernal master) + £37.50 (scarab occult terminators) + 2x £32.50 (Tzaangors) = £95 + £32.50 = 1 free Tzaangor. I think there’s an upgrade frame for the Tzaangors too, but I’m just gonna count the units.
The upgrade frame contains arguably worse weapons for the bird goat men. And keeps them from being used in AoS. The real tragedy of the bird goat men is that they are near useless in 40k because Rubic Marines exist and they are near useless in AoS because Kairic Acolytes exist.
@@dongold9605 It also stings that rubric marines are almost the same price only £5 difference. So replacing one of the Tzaangors with rubric marines would significantly improve the combat patrol for a small change in total price before discount. I’d happily take one lot of free Tzaangors, (they might not be great, but they’d fill out my starter army as a new Tsons player) but only if I got the bits I actually wanted. I’d be tempted to buy the box twice if they swapped a unit of Tzaangors for rubric marines
You know seeing how small these minis are for how much they cost makes me appreciate gunpla prices more like, one modern perfect grade (~300USD) is about 2 of those marine patrols
No Skaven video after the Skaven finally did something in AoS and GHR plugwalking into Chaos and saying "I'm your brother now, deal with it."? Must be the power of Nagash.
I agree 100% with your thousand sons assessment that box is ass and the main reason why I was hesitant to even start the army. 1 box of Rubric Marines and a box of Terminators and a lord Terminator Armour is about a combat patrol in points.
Last I checked, at max the Ad Mech combat patrol is 270 points. Which is a huge downgrade from (I believe) 370 from the older Ad Mech combat patrol. Also, not trying to start a RUclipsr beef, but this video was much better than Eons of Battle's combat patrol tier list imo
@jamesygamesy5124 100% agree with you, I still love EOB and love his painting style/schemes on his black templars, death guards, etc. However, he CP video was kinda misleading cause (for example) he didn't mention the Grey Knights having 3 units that are all multiunits like Terminators being able to become paladins or the strike squad having 3 different unit options. Plus I'm salty he gave the Votann an F but the Mechanicus a B
I think Tzeentch would argue against and agree with your opinion on the thousand sons combat patrol while subtly influencing gw to replace all thousand sons models with Tzaangors.
That end joke reminder is extremely useful I haven't yet broken a keyboard because a single mod was listed for the wrong version of Skyrim without telling me causing me to have to individually test every mod I had installed for over 10 hours
You know what is really funny to me? The Orks box is more Dark Angels than the Dark Angels box. We have a bunch of green all-purpose troopers, we have the tough 2+ save elite stuff (it would be even funnier if it was meganobz instead of a deff dread, but I'll just assume that DA Dreadnaughts would be Death Wing too), and we have our fast maneuverable fire support. It's almost as though the boyz were mocking the recently forgiven, showing them how to wear green, black and white properly...
3:51 the scarab swarm models are part of the necron warrior sprue. Gw would have to redesign the warrior sprue. So pretty much think of them as extra 3 free model
I'm glad you don't take sleeping to your videos to be insulting I love watching your videos wide awake when they first drop but nothing like a great video I've already watched to get me settled in, Need to check out the Manta sound!
Thousand Sons combat patrol summons within me a bottomless pit of despair. If GW thinks it’s good, then I can only imagine the amount of Tzaangors we’ll get with our codex reveals.
hey PancreasNoWork i have an idea for star wars video that in a way can be consider to be warhammer 40k related the Pius Dea Crusades aka that one time the old Republic become the imperium of man
The new Tau combat patrol is actually a pretty good pairing to the old combat patrol. The only thing you are really missing is Crisis Suits but at this point the original kit is a bit outdated so I’ll bet money we are getting an updated kit next edition. I mean the current kit doesn’t even come with the correct number of fusion blasters for Sunforge Suits.
I am gonna be that guy: Just get a 3D printer for $200-300 and a kilo of filament for $20. You can find STL's basically anywhere. Now that that is over with, you should make a video on some cool pirates next ;)
@@calebbarnhouse496 But he literally said he liked the model. I don’t get his criticism. He says the box is good. He says he likes the dread knight model. I think he just wanted to make the “dread knight looks like baby carrier” joke that’s been said 1,000 times. But couldn’t think of a proper setup for it.
Honestly have to thank you, I was considering starting a Tau army for a while. Your video finally convinced me to start collecting them. Now a few months later I have a pretty good sized Tau army.
6:13 The Invictor Warsuit is great, it just is in the wrong faction. It's like those walkers from Avatar (with the blue aliens) and that's why it would perfectly fit in with the Guard like a more beefed up Scout Sentinel. But maybe I just like walkers.
160 dollars for a single box of plastic. I always knew that Games Workshop stuff was expensive but are y'all rich or something? How in the hell can you afford something like that 😐
Its a hobby say for example you like beer thats at least 160 dollars a month if you hobby in warhammer then you can afford it people will fund a way if they want something
I saved for 3 weeks to buy an Imperial Knight kit. I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but proper money management can get you there. It just takes time - which you can use to paint!
I loved ending 9th with 3k worth of AdMech, absolutely loving the army looks lore and gameplay wise. Then 10th dropped and now, with slightly more models, I barely have 2k points, has hot dog water rules, but damn it still looks so cool.
As a guard player, if you want the full experience, of my army, you’ll need 3 of the combat patrols for a full unit of sentinels and a good start for infantry But I got it with the cadia stands box with a codex and a HUGE ass transfer sheet that’ll last me years
I got the Cadia Stands box and was quite happy with it - not too expensive and with most the new non-character units. But the moment I heard that the combat patrol would just be the same I was shocked. I’d argue that it’s downright unacceptable that there is no Leman Russ in this box and further argue that it is kinda cringe there are no heavy weapons teams to fit the regular infantry squad unit.
@@Kingofdragons117 I thought that was a limited run box? Regardless, it has 2 Rogal Dorn tanks. While it’s a very good deal, the guard combat patrol should be something like command squad, 2 infantry squads, a leman Russ and a basilisk or field ordinance battery. It would be around 500 points and contain a bit from all 3 major parts of the army - infantry, armour, artillery.
Just to add to the compliments I always fall asleep to your videos. Something about interesting lore/shitposting is perfect to fall asleep to. You could basically make any Warhammer vid and I'll pass out to it. (I'll wake up and finish the video as well)

The deletion of my comment confirms my suspicions..
Fun fact about the ork box:
You can’t run the leader with any of the units that come in the box.
Also if I remember correctly, you can't attach the Gravis Captain to anything in the Dark Angels box, might be wrong tho.
The redone Dark Angels Combat Patrol is the same, as is the new Tau Combat Patrol on the way.
At least Tau get away with it because solo Commanders are good...

Combat Patrol: Tzaangors is my favourite Tzaangor box. It's great start to a Tzaangor army.
dude there's some marines in your tzaangor box
I genuinely love Tzaangors. I bought it to make an AoS Tzaangor army. 😅
How I miss start collecting and before.
Combat patrol: a mismatch of: “pointsflation”, reduced discount percentage, increased cost.

The issues with the Guard and Admech Conbat Patrols are that there arent enough units in them. We need more

I don't know man, 24 jet bikes would be kind of funny.
God help the opponent that didn't bring anti air.

I will spread cope and tzaangor propaganda so here is why it’s a great combat patrol
Combat patrol tsons
Cheap due to low demand
You get to run 20 birds can you complain about that
1 sorcerer very cool sculpt and a tsons sculpt easier to paint (terminator lord is not a proper tson sculpt so the only option that would join is tzaangor shaman)
20 tzaangor Cunning bird men, fun to paint, good objective holders, birds (it’s worth repeating again)
Terminators good unit and a core to a tsons force easier than rubrics to paint and very tough cool models
I mean, it's a genius move if you're GW, and you want to induce your customers to buy additional kits to make their initial purchase actually usable.
I should add, i have a 2000 point 9th ed guard list that cost me £40 via ebay😂
If you go with the Ultimate you get both the patrols, rules, plus board & terrain.
Probably why that space marine combat patrol is online only.
Because you play a CSM faction for CSMs. If you wanted to play demons, you'd play a demon army
@@knightsljxI think OP was being _incredibly_ sarcastic.
I mean a 60% gretchin box would be pretty fun to run
Tyranid Combat Patrol could go from a B to an A+ (IMO) if they just swapped the Psychophage with a more iconic tyranid monster like the Exocrine-Haruspex kit.
Or just a carnifex or the screamer killer. But that might over balance the box.
Tbh tho the old combat patrol nids was really good imo as well
It's probably D tier because you can just buy the starter set, but looking at it in a vacuum it could use something cooler than a psycophage
I will never forgive the Guard combat patrol. Felt so swindled as a new player I almost said, "Fuck it, I'm just gonna stick to RPGs."
Don't talk to me or my Tzaangors ever again.
There is something about your narration tone and sarcasm that leads to a chaos corruption free sleep.

yo you’re at 200k subscribers now, congrats

15:51 It was me, I yelled at him about Fireblades :)

They have their own rules so they are balanced in the "Combat Patrol" game mode.
And people rather Start a Hobby when the entry Fee is around 60- later 80 € instead of ~120€
about the guard box
1.guard get a cb stratagem called send in the next wave for 1 cp and its just take a guardsmen unit that was just unit killed and bring it back next turn.
2. i think for the smaller size of cb the sentinel works good sense 25 guys, a leman russ, and a artillery unit would not be that well balance wise
3. i think the old box is trash for a leman russ you get half the men, a commissar instead of a command squad which is a trash trade sense you need them orders and the only ones the commissar give are +1 to oc and +1 to weapon skill and ok buff while the a command squad gives more men bteer buffs like 5+ feel no pains 24 inch order range and all regimental orders ,and instead of the field Ordnance battery you get 1 heavy weapon guy when they suposed to come in boxes and squads of 3's and the commissar cant even give them a +1 to hit
If you do the maths on the Thousand sons combat patrol here in the UK it’s just get one tzaangor free. But I don’t even want my free Tzaangor. I want some damn rubric marines.
Patrol =£95
Sold separately = £25 (infernal master) + £37.50 (scarab occult terminators) + 2x £32.50 (Tzaangors) = £95 + £32.50 = 1 free Tzaangor.
I’d happily take one lot of free Tzaangors, (they might not be great, but they’d fill out my starter army as a new Tsons player) but only if I got the bits I actually wanted. eons of battle doesnt play the game he paints minitures
@@jamesygamesy5124 Yeah, and he wonders why he struggles to win games
@@wholesomecomment45 its alright he has fun with his side of the hobby and thats all that matters
ONE DAY...I SHALL SEA LUTHOR HARKON VIDEO! ( I love your vids man keep up the grand work! )
I promise you he will get a video
@@pancreasnowork9939 HELL YEAH!
I think Tzeentch would argue against and agree with your opinion on the thousand sons combat patrol while subtly influencing gw to replace all thousand sons models with Tzaangors.
That end joke reminder is extremely useful
I haven't yet broken a keyboard because a single mod was listed for the wrong version of Skyrim without telling me causing me to have to individually test every mod I had installed for over 10 hours
Just you wait, we'll get a dedicated Tzaangor detachment like the T'au got with the Kroot. Only it will somehow be several times worse.
hey PancreasNoWork i have an idea for star wars video that in a way can be consider to be warhammer 40k related the Pius Dea Crusades aka that one time the old Republic become the imperium of man
The new Tau combat patrol is actually a pretty good pairing to the old combat patrol.
Now that that is over with, you should make a video on some cool pirates next ;)
i love how watching happy souls yearly is a universal experience
He complains about the Grey Knights Dreadknights as if we aren't all playing 4+ of them at the moment.
Playing them doesn't mean it's a good model
Goofy ass model, I love him
@@calebbarnhouse496
But he literally said he liked the model. I don’t get his criticism. He says the box is good. He says he likes the dread knight model. He even says buying multiple of the boxes is good. But lowers the ranking because you’d get multiple dread knights?
I think he just wanted to make the “dread knight looks like baby carrier” joke that’s been said 1,000 times. But couldn’t think of a proper setup for it.
Honestly have to thank you, I was considering starting a Tau army for a while. Your video finally convinced me to start collecting them. Now a few months later I have a pretty good sized Tau army.
15:55 What's great about the Fure Warriors is that you can either build the as Strike Team or Breacher Squad.
Wake up babe, new Pamcreasnowork video
Congrats on 200k subscribers and thanks for further affirmation to 3D print models.
That Game was funny as hell, those bikes were just chilling all game😂
Lore accurate female custodians now allow for my Eldar v Custodian girlfriend dreams to come true... Im gonna fall to Slaanesh
How in the hell can you afford something like that 😐
Same way lego fans afford Lego.
You have a kidney, right?
@@marrowkaiproductions7053 legos give you better plastic tho.. Lego still overpriced
As a guard player, if you want the full experience, of my army, you’ll need 3 of the combat patrols for a full unit of sentinels and a good start for infantry
But I got it with the cadia stands box with a codex and a HUGE ass transfer sheet that’ll last me years
I got the Cadia Stands box and was quite happy with it - not too expensive and with most the new non-character units.
But the moment I heard that the combat patrol would just be the same I was shocked. I’d argue that it’s downright unacceptable that there is no Leman Russ in this box and further argue that it is kinda cringe there are no heavy weapons teams to fit the regular infantry squad unit.
You can get the Cadian Defense force too and have all the infantry you need.
12:16 I can not believe you referred to the Rhino as a "centerpiece model". No!
For the Emperor
Just to add to the compliments I always fall asleep to your videos. Something about interesting lore/shitposting is perfect to fall asleep to. You could basically make any Warhammer vid and I'll pass out to it. (I'll wake up and finish the video as well)
Day 13 of asking a for video on Vlad Von Carstein.
i have sworn to never touch minis, i just don't need that in my life, and yet i sat in attentive fixation at this thing that will never affect me, on a work break, which i really needed. S tier tier list /heart
Sad Imperial Knight players
Man. I'm gonna forever regret not grabbing the Start Collecting Chaos Space Marines box I saw at one of my local GW stores when I was first getting into the hobby side of 40k a couple years back.
I didn't know they were on their way out.
yeah i got mine. But ive gotta say while it was a good deal its not the end of the world 2 obliterators a venom and master of possesion are not impossible to find on ebay or they show up alot in battleforce boxes. Like their is a new Battleforce box coming out soon for csm thats argueably better value then the Start collecting.
@@Jack-wy4cgThat's true and all, but my dumb ass just grabbed a box of regular-ass Chaos Space Marines. I could've gotten that, *and more*, if I'd gotten the Start Collecting instead.
Day 14 of asking for a video on Vlad Von Carstein.
I like how they changed the custodes box to not including 3 Jetbikes. And that the Eldar still has 6 of them XD
You should work out
Was super not ready for that OG Bunjie's "7" reference, well done.
It was a very funny video, i kept staring at the 160 dollars price tag on the left of the screen and howling with laughter.
