Such a great performance. I love seeing all the fans in the audience waving their Stewart tartan scarves. I've got mine because I am that geeky fan girl. 🎼🖤🎶
This was sadly after Ronnie Lane quit. Rod was going on to a bigger solo career , then Ronnie Wood joined the Stones permanently, In a few years Kenny joined the Who... Ian starts backing the Stones.... And the Faces are but a memory .
Totally agree with you But this was not orchestrated by Rod he was just as upset about it as the others I think it was in America when they were all taken back when they were announced as Rod Stewart & The Faces It was cruel & thoughtless & the beginning of the end of one of the greatest British bands Could you have imagined Mick Jagger & the Stones Faces were a force, just genius
The only thing wrong with the Faces was that Rod thought it was all about him , and he was the star , the one that everybody came to see ,and it wasn't that at all , to me and many others who saw them loads of times , it was the music , and he was just a singer , nothing special either
It was the early 70’s I had t shirts with huge bell sleeves and flowers on! Rod said in an interview in 1975 he’d never owned a pair of jeans he was a beatnik, a mod etc same as Bolan you never saw him in jeans/t shirt
So sad how Ronnie chose to join that second-rate band The Stones, but Rod had already become a poncy parody by then. I lost respect for both after that. Long live The Faces.
I miss The Faces more than words can express.
I love the Faces and the great days of the70’s. ❤
This band was so much fun to watch. They loved playing together and exuded such joy.
Jimi Hendrix is generally considered the greatest guitarist but his songwriting doesn’t get enough attention. He was a lyrical and musical genius.
Hell of a band. If Rods first five albums were faces albums we’d be talking about them as big as zeppelin
Love Rod, and love this song! Always.. 🎤🙆🏼♀️👏❤️😇
This is such a beautiful song. Written by Jimi Hendrix.
Faces. What a freakin' great Rock 'N Roll band!
The Midnight Special, really did showcase amazing groups with amazing music 🎶 🎵. This is a trip down memory lane for me.Good times most definitely.
Lovely to see! Rod & Ron are really great artists!!♥️♥️Maria
thankyou ♥️
thankyou
Rod Stewart the love of my life xxx
I saw this tour. I was (still am) such a big Faces fan. I was lucky enough to see them perform twice.
An often overlooked classic, by Rod. Just one of several dozen he's had in his remarkable 55-year career!
By Jimi

I Love Faces!

so much to listen to,five guys, crown jewels etc etc.I 68 and still BLAST out the great Faces tracks x
Rod had become a ponz by this time.
What does that even mean?
@@tallmn1957 all of the fame and money flowed thru everyone else into his pockets.
@Frank-sm9yl Ah, ponzi. Well, thats bulls**t.
I mean they were Faces at this point. Not Rod Stewart AND. That being said, maybe the most criminally underrated band of all time.
I think you are incorrect. This was done in 75 I believe Ronnie Lane quit in 73 this was done just before Ron Wood quit to join the rolling stones
Yet not even one single token shot of Mac.You can hear him, but that's it.
Totally agree with you

@@notyouraccount566Wrong I have had this exact full concert on VHS and the jacket says Rod Stewart and The Faces
One of my favorite songs ever❤ Jimi Hendrix version is killer
Rod Stewart have Respect for Mr Jimi Hendrix. Salute. Mr Stewart
Rod the god,Keith awesome!
Keith who?
Who is Keith?
Keith Richards played on three of the songs from that concert@@kenhill9176
That’s not Keith it’s Ronnie wood now of the stones
❤
I had no idea The Faces covered this song. I wonder what Hendrix would have thought?
Wood and Hendrix were roommates for a time. I'll bet Hendrix would be cool with it.

He, Jagger, Elton, Bowie, & Marc Bolan began the "Glam Rock" phase. It was just show biz.
Haha, Ronnie is having great fun playing the Stones' You Can't Always Get What You Want @1:56
No wonder they chose him to succeed Mick Taylor!
Yes. kind of his inside joke he played on everyone.
Great
Voor lieve krista 🎉🎉🎉😮🎉🎉🎉😅
Speciaal voor gina beumer en mijzelf 😢🎉
A shame Ronnie Lane had left by then (no offence to Tetsu Yamauchi)
Last Faces show ever in 75. Right?
Where was this? Looks on location
And to bite

Disagree,Rod was the star!
Why did Rod choose to dress that way?
That was the fashion then

@@Iluvthe1960s Yeah, I guess that was the style in those days......maybe the start of "glam rock"?
cos he could and get away with it? an era of rock that I'll love FOR EVER cheers!! xx
Cause glam stuff was trend at that time and they looked kinda cool
2024, I just heard a new band that sounds a lot like them, just kidding.
Voor gina beumer
Never liked the stones no match for the faces

I'm so glad artists don't listen to fans like you.
