this has to be one of my favorite videos of homeworthy in a long time, pls bring more people like him, and thank you for mentioning english gardens and the need for people to sometimes learn to pulse. Truly enjoyed ur episode, thank you.
This is a tour of a home not just a house. The interiors are calm and comforting, the exterior is stunning and breathtaking. What a thoughtful renovation! Appreciate the designer's relatable approach and personality. Love, love, love the segment in the kitchen reminiscing over items with special meaning and stories. It feels like the designer is talking to an old friend. The artwork also needs to be made mention...STUNNING! My favorite part of the whole tour, the owner and his husband's dogs crashing the party.
A good presentation by an authentically nice guy. I love his style, his new terrace, his simple uncluttered designs, etc. And the kitchen...what a smart way to save money and create a great space from an older, unwanted style! Plus, his house won't go out of style because it isn't trendy. Bravo!
This interior decorator understands the need for calmness un our lives. So impressed with his psychology of design and how each person needs to learn what works for them. Feelings aren't right or wrong they just are.
I loved this episode! How to make the "mundane more ordinary" was a powerful takeaway from his tour. I adore his meditative approach to life and design. The home and views are out of this world, but he said about 1000 things that were pure gold and quotable. Great find, Homeworthy!
I like how you mix old with new. I like your advice about waiting until you find something that you love-don't rush into "filler" pieces of art or furniture. Most of all, I like your home!
I appreciate how Joshua’s philosophies, spirituality, and life outlook have converged into nothing short of a calling to design. What a big, open heart he has. This was one of Homeworthy’s BEST! ❤
I just absolutely adore his vibe! He is so authentic and seems like he has so much genuine love people and their spaces. In fact he seems more like an interior designer than any other person who have shared their home on this channel. Please have more hosts that have this type of great personality that makes it worth watching.
You nailed it !!! My thoughts exactly!!! I grew tired of listening to so many interior designers use the exact same expressions, it was as if i heard the same person talk every time. Maybe it is their communicative skills, their field of expertise is design and home décor so it is understandable, but this one , he is a gem !! And of course, I love, love his home!!
Wish he was in Wichita, KS! I agree with his philosophy on flowers and he had me cracking up when he said “if this mirror could talk”! Such a beautiful, live able home.
What a wonderful person and interior designer Joshua Smith is! Fitting the design to the owner and the location is most important. He is the best designer I’ve seen! Thank you for this upload!
Your energy is beautiful. No wonder your home is gorgeous! You get to live in a magical area to recharge and then help others find their perfect home space! Enjoyed this so much, I am a fan!
What a wonderful home. I love all the white walls with color brought in with the furnishings and collections. The star of the home is definitely the kitchen!
I have enjoyed your entire video, but when I saw Crosby I was so excited! I believe that I know Crosby from a home that you had in a small town in Ct. You guy are so kind and considerate. I am so happy for you and that you found a place that you can thrive! (I was your mail carrier, Michele)
This home tour was one of my favorites. Joshua seems so down to earth and understanding that each home is unique and a reflection of the people who occupy them. I would love to hire him because I think he would 100% nail it! Loved everything about this tour.
The way his mind works when it comes to design is exactly what goes on in my head! I can feel his passion and loved the bits of knowledge he shared throughout the tour too!
I rarely say this about anyone, but Joshua Smith you are going on my vision board so we can be friends. I literally felt single word you said in this video. It wasn’t just another homeworthy video, it was a spiritual experience of utmost beauty. Your home is as beautiful as your soul. Thank you for sharing. ♥️
Absolutely loved everything! My jaw dropped when we toured the kitchen! Most ppl would have gutted the kitchen! No being able to visualize what a hem those cabinets already were! LOVE IT!!! Thank you for sharing!!
Definitely an episode to watch over and over! Please have him take us antiquing. I would love to hear his process as he clearly has a home not just filled with beautiful things, but beautiful things that mean something to him and his husband. Lovely!
I LOVE him!!! What a beautiful curated home!! And his design philosophy of finding out what YOU love is spot on!! Trends be gone....bring on homes that tell your story filled with meaningful pieces and collections....such an inspiring home and man!!
Joshua is my new favorite designer, I loved his home so much. I wish I could step foot in it and feel what it’s like to be there. I love his depth and understanding of what home truly is. ❤
Your affinity for paintings with only one type flower is how I feel about flower arrangements. I love arrangements with only one type flower and greenery. This was a fantastic tour , and being a Texan myself , listening to you was so relaxing!
His passionate, kinetic, creative energy is very charming. I love this warm, inviting home. Any home with big dogs and art is a home I can relate to. It's beautiful, and the land and views are what I imagine heaven looks like. Thanks for letting us into your amazing space.
I have watched many, many, many Homeworthy Tours and this is without a doubt THE most stunning, extraordinary home I have seen yet!! And I agree with other's comments about this interior designer...he is truly amazing!
This is such a beautiful home and the surroundings are breath taking. I had to re watch it right away just to take it all in again. The home owner did a fabulous job and the love and thought he put into it showed in every room.
The most entertaining host and so enjoyed the tips that he imparted. I can tell he enjoys the education part of his job as well as choosing products. What an absolutely calming "hollow."
Thank you for having a big blank space, for not rushing, having faith in your process, and waiting to put the right piece on your dining room wall. Such a delightful, thoughtful designer! (My wise mom has a similar perspective - only plants small trees, otherwise you miss out on the joy of watching them grow and fill in through the seasons.)
Beautiful architecture, lovely and practical decor. That what I call a success. In ten years from now, this home is still going to be beautiful, peaceful and a charming home. ❤
What a well thaught out home,it draws you into every space from the interior to the exterior. The color palettes and pieces of furniture to the personal decor is just stunning. The mix of antiques and vintage pieces are placed amongst each other beautifully.
I mean the chairs, sofas, dining table, art, and outdoor gardens and terraces!! I adore it all and would live there forever! I have a suggestion for the blank wall: a portrait of your dogs or a oil painting of your home. Enjoy your life and thank you for sharing it with us.💛
13 seconds in and I learn he’s on 70ares in BEAUTIFUL Vermont and I am already experiencing the “Green Eyed Monster” 😂😍 I don’t even care what the house looks like. I’d live in a tent if it was on that land in Vermont. But I’m sure the house is going to make it all just that much better! I’ll come back after watching the entire video…..😊 EDIT: Ok, made it to the end and I don’t think I’ve ever been more “envious” of a homeowner from this channel than I am this one. But not in a rude or mean spirited way. I am very happy for anyone who can experience that beauty and live in such a beautiful home and in such a magical place. I’d probably never leave my house. I already barely leave mine now, if I had all that? Wow, just spectacular in every way. Inside and OUT. Stunning! I bet it’s like heaven on earth there in the fall. And then when it snows? Man oh man. Just being able to experience all the seasons in such a beautiful location would be amazing!! Loved this SO much! ❤❤❤❤❤
What a beautiful, cozy, and welcoming home. When they say location is everything this is gorgeous. Love all the different collections of art and furnishings. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and for all the hints and tips.
The view from the dining room is amazing! I would cover the wall with a mirror so that anyone with their back to the doors will still see the amazing view!! Fabulous property. Loved this tour and owner, and is cameo dogs. 😊
Love , love this home and Joshua is the type of person we need more of in this amazing but damaged world ,thank you for showing us your beautiful sanctuary, I hope we get to come back , I was just curious about how the main bathroom was designed , I completely understand that people want to keep their private spaces private, such as the primary suite , I just have a hard time imagining the style of the bathroom appropriate for the home ,but this was a beautiful showing , and it would take too long to express my appreciation for the beauty of the surroundings and views ....you'all...😁😁
Joshua, not only do you have a beautiful home but a beautiful soul too. Love your spiritual wisdom. I too am a crystal collector & a cancer rising. 😊☀️
One of my favorite of all your episodes Homeworthy ... Joshua, I was in tears a couple of times listening to you. Your words were spiritual, not just about interior design and decor. Are you familiar with Jeremiah Brent's book: The Space That Keeps You, I think you would like it. Thanks you for a lovely visit. Sean
This tour is amazing. I LOVE the design of the home, the decorating, the overall relationship of the spaces and things in the spaces, the outdoor spaces, and Josh's philosophy for living a full and contented life.
Lovely. I agree with all of this! Design works best and has the biggest impact on oneself and others when it’s curated from things you love! And crunching gravel underfoot is highly underrated! Definitely one of my favorite things. Well done!
Breathtaking view and a beautifully designed house. The kitchen is one of the nicest I've seen. I'm so glad that he is not wasteful, 99% of the usual suspects we see here (vacuous airheads) would have had it ripped out, only to fit an almost identical one. Joshua has a warm and emotion filled aura. He and his husband seem a perfect match and very finely tuned to each other, and I bet they are wonderful hosts to their visitors. I wouldn't want to leave. Just give me a comfy chair and throw me a sandwich every day or so, I'll be the one staring at those mountains from the terrace whilst sighing contentedly. Bliss!
I love that you said a home is where the sanctuary is and should be a place to be restored......i feel a very humbling sense of empathy in you...very noticable.
What I love about remodeling verses a new build, is for me, I actually find I’m More creative. An obstacle is an opportunity to get really creative and some great things can come from that.
This home is one of the top 3 homes I absolutely love. I've come back again to watch this tour uninterrupted! Simply fabulous home and host. I love Joshua's outlook on the meaning of home as I couldn't agree more. Would love to visit his store, simply outstanding. Thank you Joshua for the tour x
Absolutely beautiful home! I love the pattern/Style of the flower garden fence! So upscale and unique. I love his decorating/life philosophy, everything has a meaning, a story, a reason and everything shows his love of life.
Outstanding ! A dream home by any measure. How fortunate are you to have - in a very accidental way - simply fallen upon this property. Thrilled for you and your husband and wishing you many years of joy in your exquisite home!
This is one of the most beautiful home tours I've seen. From the bucolic surroundings to impeccable decor, and a sincere thoughtful narrative, I did not want it to end. I want to live there, as that is definitely my design vibe ✨️ ❤he has really found his happy place and perfect career ❤thank you homeworthy❤
I love that they didn’t gut the kitchen cabinets. It’s so nice to see an interior designer still embrace and refinish old cabinets and keeping exposed hinges.
I KNEW IT!!!! I figured he was either from Texas or had lived there for a time. What an incredible human being. Love his personality...and his beautiful home!
Joshua, your home is beautiful. I most enjoyed the insight you provide into your process, thoughts on design and the profound love for what you do. This home tour was beautiful, moving and inspiring.
This gentleman truly gets to know his clients. I can only imagine how happy they must be with the finished product and the fact they’ve made a new friend. 🌸🐝
Im not even half way through----this guy is amazing - love him and his whole thought process and style in this home----i hope he does a book---GREAT GREAT personality and disposition-----wish they would introduce his partner so we could see them together--must be a special guy-----this is the best homeworthy to date----sometimes it not about the home its about the owner!!!!!!
I am totally self taught and remodeled my first home at 23. There, I had to learn the “how to’s’”, as I could not afforded to hire work done. 10 years later, after working a job I dreaded, I remodeled my second Home, but with more money. I left that job, as my friends began asking me to help them and I kept working through word of mouth. Had a year of Drafting in High School, which got me through my drawings, and was always an artist. I did take one semester of Design in College, which taught me some about color. Isn’t it wonderful to blessed to get paid for what you love to do. I don’t mind long hours because my time goes by quickly, as I absolutely love my job. I continue to learn and that’s why I so enjoyed your video. Love your philosophy regarding Design. Congrats. Lovely remodel.
Homeworthy, you never disappoint. I just watched the beautiful home in Maine and I was hoping you would showcase a Vermont home and you did. As a recent transplant to New England I am thrilled to see the stunning properties in this area of the country. This home in Dorset is absolutely stunning. The outside is magnificent, the view, the pond, the mountains, and the inside, how gorgeous. It doesn’t get any better. Thank you Joshua for inviting us to share your paradise. ❤❤
What a genuine, soulful man! Lovely home!
this has to be one of my favorite videos of homeworthy in a long time, pls bring more people like him, and thank you for mentioning english gardens and the need for people to sometimes learn to pulse. Truly enjoyed ur episode, thank you.
I liked with the space but then the owner, what a truly charming person. The space reflects his warm and genuine spirit.
He is adorable! I love his vibe! He seems like such a genuinely warm and kind person
Love this designers philosophy, grounding, crystals, meditation, making our home our sanctuary. So refreshing

This guy is one of the more genuine folks to have done a home worthy tour. I loved it! And the dogs.

there’s a difference between the two titles.

Yes to the “full body yes” moments! Beautiful home and lovely blend of old and new.

Two minutes in and I’m in love with the home. Elegant, simple, calming, warm, charming, beautiful, thoughtful, homey…I could go on and on.
Beautiful architecture, lovely and practical decor. That what I call a success. In ten years from now, this home is still going to be beautiful, peaceful and a charming home. ❤

That view is breathtaking !
Ps, I love your art work! It’s obvious that you appreciate fine art and bought it because it is special and not bought to match the couch!
Lovely. I agree with all of this! Design works best and has the biggest impact on oneself and others when it’s curated from things you love! And crunching gravel underfoot is highly underrated! Definitely one of my favorite things. Well done!
Wow, what a beautiful location! Stunning home too. Thanks also for the coaching/design lessons interweaved in the tour.

More power to him. The home is amazing, but his ability to articulate spiritual insights is profound and courageous. Stay blessed!

LOVE this lovely, charismatic guy. He made this video come to life. I adore the home, but the host is fabulous, kind and genuine ❤
That outdoor seating area and view would have sold me even if there was nothing but a chicken coop in the property!
Love your VT home and your decorating style! This Homeworthy is one of the very best ! Your home is your sanctuary, beautiful! 😊
This is a stunning home ❤ and you instantly give off a genuine care and joy for what you do. Thank you for sharing your home!

I love the idea of making that small vintage table into a sink 💕 definitely using that idea.
Simply stunning home and charming host. One of my favorites thus far.
What a stunning home and a lovely informative homeowner. I loved this video!
Wow, the view and lot are gorgeous. What a beautiful and special setting. The home is full of charm and character. Everything is simply beautiful.
What a wonderful home! A breath of fresh air.
